Greediness will always end up you to lose all you've gain. The question now is did you learn from that mistake or you want to gamble again to recover that loss. If you want to gamble for profit, the moment you earn some profit you start to withdraw it and stop thinking you'll win more if you continue.

That's why gambling habits that will cost you, but it is your big mistake that you have used your 3months saving, it is really painful that you did it. Over all gambling is risk and gambling is not a platform where you use your saving, but at least you have regret, so the next time you will not do it again.
We should learn in our every bet then we can save our-self from losses in gambling.

Agree with the list here but I believe there's a lot more of "habits" or actions that needs to be avoided when gambling. But just want to add here, since you already stated it, that although it's your money, think first if it's okay to gamble 'that' money. Yes you own it but for me, you still have to think about your priorities. If you need that money for an important purposes, then don't use it for gambling. Only gamble your EXTRA money. If you have more than enough of what you need, then go. But think first about your priorities and less priorities.

If that's repeatedly happened better to keep away from this activities as it will surely harmed you more after, making things like this is no longer  a mistake but an habitual addictions that's needed to be overcome, take your break from gambling as you'll be losing more and more, as from the way you described your attitude to this activities will keep endangering your savings.

One of the bad habit is when someone is losing and instead of stopping, it gives them stimul to continue and are super confident that they'll win with last bucks.

1. Not mentally preparing - don't gamble when you are depressed or angry, it'll just make it worse if you lose and it's going to affect your play.

If it effects the game, then it is nothing a big issue. It'll affect the living of the user as money is a factor that keeps people stress free.

2. Not making a budget and sticking to it - if you just keep on pulling money out, you could soon find yourself short of cash for other stuff. You could end up dipping for money reserved for utilities, etc.

Yeah, budgeting is a must with everything. Whether it is a small spending or something high this needs to be planned prior. In other terms each spending needs to be noted which let's you make the budget better and better over the days.

And yet this is where most people fail. Gambling messes with the reward system. Most people (not just with gambling) start with a strict budget and over time things get inserted, etc and the budget don't get followed.

Since this is one of the main pitfalls for gamblers, if they can set up more measures to avoid it, they should. I think one smart one is to have a non-gambler friend that can monitor the money you are sending into the casino and that you only send money to the casino through him/her.

When someone has to urge to continue despite being so unlucky on a certain day, that was the time they already lost their mind.
They need to control their emotions or else they will just gonna end up losing more, just like what happens to me when i lost my self-control.

I'd like to share about my real experience, actually it worked for me if I bet big in a single bet compared to dividing it with different bet with the same total amount I have to risk. When I do place my bet in sport, I do analyze before placing my bet and I can focus on analyzing if I have do to it with a single match up as I can choose which is the easiest to cap.

Same probability in many bets or 1 big bet, but many bets means you can last longer, more entertainment. For me, gambling is entertainment so I would rather do $10 every week for a month than $40 in one bet. If I lose 1 bet, my fun stops and I have to put more in to enjoy myself. More bets also is more experience with sports;)

Set a budget for a certain length of time and stick to it. If possible, try not get it down to zero. Once you run out of money, you can't deposit more.

For example if you set a weekly budget and lost all that, you don't replenish it until the next week. The good thing about setting a fixed budget for a regular interval is you can track if you are earning anything.

This practice of setting limit is really very nice but I bet it’s not for everyone because at times the money that some players set as limit just the same as running a normal daily bet without limit and at the end it all runs down to zero.

I feel the best is just to be a disciplined player. Limit or no limit, you would always know when to stop a game if you find out the game is not favorable. This has been my method, I never set limit for my games, I didn’t find the act of setting limit cool after I tried it onetime and I exhausted my stakes the very moment my game was just to begin and it didn’t make me happy at all. It’s just better to play your games and control yourself than depending on a set limit…

Sometimes a long wait of pending withdrawal makes you think that it's just another business strategy to make players play another round and get busted in the end , that kind thought always there , does anybody have the same feeling about this? 😅

Psychology matters always make a difference I have no doubt about it , a good mood could bring you a good result that's not a bullshit ... I would suggest everyone to do this as well.
Money management? In gambling? Still have a lot of questions about this 'budgeting' , I would prefer to say as long as you gamble responsibly you won't ruin your whole financial condition.

Those that have been gambling for a long time will agree with some of these bad habits (if I may call them this) which I have found to have a negative effect on our gambling experience.

1. Cancelling a withdraw because the sportsbook takes long to process it or because you saw a game you think will bring easy profit, stop right here.. my advice don't even think about cancelling this it's a trap that will leave you with no money to withdraw.

2. Don't gamble while you are intoxicated, for obvious reasons judgement is impaired and you will be reckless with how you play.

3. Never gamble with money that isn't yours, this includes taking out loans for the purpose of gambling  because this always ends in you losing all the sourced funds and will result in putting yourself in bad books with friends and family.

4. Avoid accumulators, sometimes these are good but if you in it for the money avoid them! I know many will say if you don't risk it you won't win or say something like "go big or go home" but honestly think about it , you place an accumulator with 3 games and 2 games with big odds of 5 and 7 odds go through and you are left with the multiplier of 1.2 odds which goes on to lose I guess you get my logic

5. Avoid gambling when you are angry or feeling emotional about something or someone, this too affects your game. If it helps talk or see someone before you do something you will regret.

You summed everything every gambler not to do for them not to lose his money, I think it's all about losing control and not thinking how to play properly, even if you follow your strategy but your judgment is not correct, you will end up losing all your money.

Greed is something that you should avoid in any matter, not just in gambling because if you have greed, you want to get anything which is not always you can reach. You need to realize yourself so you can think that not all you want can be available at that time. In gambling, when greed posses you, you will lose all the money because you need to spend money before you can get another win money. That will be a bad habit for the gamblers because he will not think that money is essential to his life.

Greed is what's makes us human, it is inside us and we can't deny that.

That is the reason we should be able to control ourselves from being greedy. Obviously, it will really affect our gambling activities since that would usually make our bets at loss but we can be greedy all of the time since as I said, it is inside us. Also, it is not a habit, it is a natural classification of us humans the reason we are gambling.

Taking loan is the insane decision and should be avoided in all cases. Some people take loan to invest again in gambling to recover the loss but as per my experience it will never happen.

Gambling itself is very risky but to get a loan just to gamble is just pure stupidity for me.

There are times that they will win and get their initial capital if they get a loan but most of the time they are losing their money as well as the money that has been loaned. You dug the hole deeper if the loaned money will be lost too because interest will be added to the money you will pay.

I think that it’s even the most dangerous habit and that is probably what the OP meant by his fourth point. You can never mention deadly habit in gambling without adding this to the list even though majority of gamblers are guilty of this.

Greed is also mistaken for aiming high or dreaming big but realistically it is not good at all and as players, it’s better to settle this habit before even coming into gambling. Anyone that is greedy will definitely have problems in gambling because  gambling on its own has a way of making responsible people become greedy and it takes discipline to overcome this and then it becomes even more difficult for those who are by default naturally greedy.
