Matchroom Sport has officially confirmed that the anticipated rematch between Andy Ruiz and Anthony Joshua will take place on December 7th in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.

Eddie Hearn of Matchroom will hold a press conference this coming Monday in London, to discuss the details of the event.

The card is being called "Clash on The Dunes."

Who are you going with? I see Joshua actually showing up with some balls and focus that night and getting the job done to redeem himself, which will make the Wilder vs Joshua/Tyson vs Joshua fight relevant again.

As much as I want Andy to win again because he is such a likeable guy and a hardworker, I don't really see it. I mean if Ruiz knocks the fuck out Joshua's chin again then it's pretty much over, he should retire. I think he is aware of this fact and he isn't going to let this happen twice. I give Joshua an 8th round KO. But this is an extremely risky bet. Honeslty im not even sure if I want to get involved in this one. Ruiz can really pull it again. I want to see the odds before I make a decision.

The rematch will be a fantastic one as I see Joshua claiming back all the past glory that Andy had stolen, Andy is a good fighter but will not still give him the winning but to Joshua. Although the last match between them I lost out totally because I chose Joshua to win the fight against Andy, still I will go the same route.

This rematch is just a formality that the time of Andy Ruiz holding the belt is over. I can't see a chance that he would win the rematch as Joshua will be more careful this time and he need not to slug it out with Ruiz, just score points and he will win the fight.

This is a match that difficult to predict, but  AJ (1/3) is still more favorable to win this match than Ruiz (9/4). If AJ can prepare and train properly (not like in the previous fight), I think he will win.

Ruiz will train hard to retain the belt, but Joshua will trained harder as he feels he need to reclaim himself and beat the guy who upset him.
It's true that it's hard to predict but when the odds of Ruiz is too good, I would go for Ruiz as he once proven he can beat Joshua.

I'm guessing, odds for Ruiz to win should be 3.00 +.

I will make my prediction once the fight will be near, it gives some insights that both fighters will be preparing for it and have enough time to make it perfectly shaped.
It for sure Joshua will push himself to the limit and reclaims his championship but how about Ruiz? There is something to prove also and it gonna be a big big fight for them. I've never thought that it never reaches into 12 rounds.

Who doesn't want to fight him after giving his first loss to him Cheesy. He wants revenge and he will train hard for this fight. That fight is a one sided match but the unexpected happened. Now both of them will train hard for the rematch. The odds are favoring to the challenger still.

It's a must-win for Anthony Joshua because on the first fight he was humiliated with that four knockdowns, I am going to bet with Andy Ruiz he knows he can take Anthony Joshua's punch, remember Joshua knockdown Ruiz in the third round after he gets up Ruiz instead of backing out,  he goes to attack Joshua and knock him down for the first time in less than 30 seconds.

After that knockdown, Joshua cannot contain Ruiz, he doesn't know what's he is going to do because he is outpunched and obviously he cannot answer Ruiz's fast hands and he can't take Ruiz's punch.

He eventually gives up, no boxer worth his salt will give up in a fight much more in a title fight, and you are a champion, on their second match Joshua will remember everything and he knows that he cannot fight Ruiz toe to toe.

No, I don't think so. Joshua getting very careful is a Joshua showing fear. This will boost the confidence and encourage the hunger in Ruiz to drop him to the canvas once more. Remember, this fight starts with Ruiz having the conviction that he can easily take this guy and he has already proven it, while the guy on the other side has already realized how much danger Ruiz has in his hands. That will limit Joshua's attacks for sure.

If the first fight ended in a decision then we can expect anyone of the fighter can dominate the other one, but Joshua give up on this fight, he is totally outclassed, out punch and it's almost like a no match, he has no answer to Ruiz punch we still don't know how his team is going to counter Ruiz, but one thing is for sure, he can't take Ruiz punch while Ruiz can take his punch.

Anthony Joshua's over-confidence may have cost him that fight. Who would have think that a fighter with beer belly would knock out him. We can't predict on who will win this fight but i think the challenger here had a big chance since he have to prove to everybody that the loss that he have is just a fluke and not because he is being outclassed.

Anthony Joshua really over look Andy Ruiz during the first fight, he even admittedly says that we has looking to fight Deontay next. Unfortunately, Ruiz Jr. derail all the plans for that mega fight to happen.

So with that said, I think Joshua will do everything so regain what he has lost here so it will be very interesting fight. So I think he is more motivated here so I'm going to say that Joshua will win this and set up that mega fight either Deontay or Tyson Fury.

As for the venue, we all know how rich Middle East was, so for sure a lot of money was presented in the table just to secure the fight and I wouldn't be surprised if others big fights will happen in that region.

It's really hard to come back from four knockdowns, Joshua should take a mandatory 6 months vacations from the right, because of the serious beating he got from Ruiz, Ruiz can take his punch I wonder how can he beat Ruiz now, will he dance away and do a hit and run knowing that one punch can hurt him and bring him down.

Sure Andy will definitely train harder to get the title but for thus rematch am not seeing him beat the opponent Joshua this time because of a plan ground fight. Joshua knows that, if he lose the fight this time, he might be heading to retirement from the industry. Joshua will play his guild on Andy and take back the glory he lost to Andy.

Everyone has been waiting for this rematch, and I’m glad to know it’s finally happening but why is it happening in Saudi and not some other country?. Ruiz who shocked the world by beating Joshua will be bookies favourite to win again, though we’ll have to wait and see the odds on this match. Honestly it’s very difficult to predict a winner in this game, but if I had to gamble on this match then I would go for Ruiz because if he can beat Joshua once he can definitely beat him again.

Anthony Joshua will never be the same anymore. He may train hard to make sure that he beat Andy Ruiz but there will be something that will make him hesitate on engaging a slugfest with Andy Ruiz. As for Andy Ruiz, he will try to do his best to prove that his win was not just luck, he will train hard and study more on the movements and boxing style of Anthony Joshua.

I think that Joshua would fight hard to redeem himself back again. The African wouldn't not give up easily. He has the strength and resilient to go all out.

Odds are in favor of Joshua with this one, given that I'm pretty sure he wanted to get out of that slump. What I worry about is when Joshua would hesitate throwing those heavy right hands against Ruiz which we know is a pretty defensive player. This could turn out so good or so bad for Joshua given that a lot is at stake (well possibly his career even.) As for Ruiz, he will have to do some extra action in the ring to prove that he deserves all the praises he's getting fairly recently. If I were to take this bet, I'd go the safer option which is Ruiz via UD, though a possible Joshua K.O. win is possible if we get our boy do some damage early on and dictate the tempo of the match.

That's expected because the first fight was an upset, he was the favorite and this time he will surely still be the favorite.
Can't wait to see the odds of the fight, but I think at this early it's still not available yet, but if you guys see some bookies offering an early odds for this fight, please share in this thread, I'll check it out.
