Do or Die for ETH

I have some Eth and Everytime I do check for any update and research about ETH. IEO trend is another threat for ETH and now Eth is going down day by day.


Ethereum hasn’t been all too well as of late. If you’ve perused the pertinent articles on this outlet, we’re sure you know that.

For those unaware, here’s a brief recap. Every since early-2018, Ethereum and its ilk have been dramatically underperforming Bitcoin. In fact, since the top of altcoin mania in 2018, Bitcoin dominance has doubled, moving from 32% to 69%. The performance (or lack thereof) of Ethereum specifically seems to stem from the lack of buying pressure from ICO participants, as projects are moving away from this form of fundraising to avoid regulatory scrutiny.

Ethereum has been doing so poorly that its share of the cryptocurrency market recently collapsed under 8%. In fact, as of the time of Stop and Decrypt’s tweet seen below, dominance for the second largest crypto asset sat at 7.84%, the lowest it has been in some two years.

Are you saying that IEO is affecting the price of ETH? how exactly because  IEO did nothing but keeps driving more money into crypto space,its been good all around for IEO and its far from been a threat to ETH,you need more patience to understand that ETH is not doing bad at all,lets wait for the next upgrade which will introduce Prove of Stake for ETH.

ethereum will changes its algorithma.no more mining and only staking.much crypto community wait this moment happen.the main problem in ethereum blockchain was network scalabilyt , its normal if compared with contract that created in etherum platform.so every second much transaction happen.

As the I have also observed that ETH price is not growing as compare to year 2017 and 2018, i think the more competitor of ETH in market that's why investor not more investing in ETH.

ETH I, too, like the most of all Altcoins. I think that the price for it is now very low and should grow over time.

Ethereum for some reasons not doing good at all these days for unknown reasons. Whales are trying to b keep the price down. Let's see how long they keep it like this.

I still believe that ETH will stand still strong as it's still leading platform for many industrial dApps.
For the short term, I see ETH will again touch $140.

The cause of Ethereum downfall was simply as a result of Ethereum been overhyped via ICOs. Initially Ethereum didn't deserve the last all time high (via price value) it did achieve doing the late 2017 bull market, so did so many other Altcoin. The price value of the token weren't a direct representation of the development achievement of these projects instead it was a mere hype and that's why they're now suffering in regards to decline in price, as the hype has died down. The number of investors, investing in random coins/tokens and hope for a 10x or even more has reduced drastically instead they now invest in project with not just a working product or realistic Ideas but a project with security. That's why bitcoin is the most beneficiary.

Ethereum as a blockchain still has value as it's utility purpose are numerous to mention although the native token (ETHER) isn't a perfect investment choices since the gaurantee of profits on your investment isn't assured like investing in bitcoin. Another problem affecting the price of Ethereum is high number of whales dumping their holding on the market and most of these whale are startups that carried out ICO and raised thousands of Ethereum in the process.

Exactly,I explained the situation by saying threat for ETH. ICOs system dramatically tried to finish ETH (anyone can disagree with it but it's true), fake projects are also responsible for this.

However, ETH has its value for utility and it has still a good position but it's future will not very bright if they fail to keep their word which they said as development for the next four years

times changing. i do have. i do have doubts whether this is going to go up too. there is just better platforms today like TRON where more developers prefer. investors must have the dilemma whether to move their investment or stick. i suspect those ERC token developers doesn't even own ETH right now. if they aren't listed on binance, they'd be moving to BEP.

As I mentioned that IEO is a threat for destroy ETH for it's position and it will be happened today or tomorrow though already stated.

However, your point out is absolutely good to move with another platform and many of us already did it. Now a days ICOs projects can't get hyped like before and IEO is getting enough investor. So people already got another platform to play.

I don't know what plans are in place for Ethereum. The rate at which it goes down when market is red is really scary. Yet it is very slow when it starts rising up. I'm having more bitcoin now than Eth because I do not believe it will do well again

Many projects continue to use the Ethereum blockchain. So I think that to talk about the death of Ethereum is impractical. Now the whole market is in a fall, but after a while it will recover and stabilize.

Ethereum achieved ATH price only because people bought ETH to participate in ICOs. But these ICOs then sold every raised ETHs.
Same will happen to BNB - people now buying BNB to participate on Binance IEOs, but soon projects will sell their BNBs from token sale.

Unlimited supply is the big drawback that ethereum has

People always say this but it simply isn't true. The supply growth goes towards zero asymptotically and will because of that eventually become deflationary. It functionally has a supply limit, just not a preprogrammed scalar cap value. These are basic things people should know before they invest.

I think that Ethereum will maintain its humiliating position until they start introducing any innovations. Until that time, we will see a very weak cryptocurrency with the community that is disappointed in this coin and can not support it.

I do not know why you are singling out ethereum market has been like this for all alts, just have a look at xrp, xlm, neo, ada, icx, nano plus all other quality coins all are struggling i know it is a hard time for alt holders i personally have eth and many other holdings but we have to be mature and support and hold our coins patiently for maximum profits later.

The truth is the dip affecting etherum can not be described nor emphasized to a factor
It is the most employed altcoin after bitcoin
It also employs a lot of smart contract tokens; making decentralization easy for all;

The prices will soon reflect based on the adoption; we just have to wait for it

I heared a lot of time that Ethereum is dead but always it was a good time to bought some ETH. It will never die because Ethereum is mother of another tokens.

I dont think it is much of a threat. More like a competition and it is good for we could see more cheaper transaction fees if ever.
Also, it is better to always have an option.

For me though, I still use ETH as my 2nd option after bitcoin specially when bitcoin price is soaring and so is the transaction fees.
But that is usage, we need investors to nourish ETH again.

Yes, I guess that also has nothing to do. Ieo from erc-20 based tokens can actually have a positive effect. After all, price declines occur for most altcoins, not just ethereum. The effect of the decline in BTC prices has an effect on altcoin.

IEO has nothing to do with falling ETH prices because indeed the market is currently experiencing a decline including the price of Bitcoin. of course the effect of falling BTC prices will also affect prices on Altcoin prices and I often see that happening. I'm not sure that IEO is making the ETH price fall and making the ETH getting worse because this is purely from the effect of the decline in the price of Bitcoin.
