True, one can get addicted to anything he/she is having fun with, and gambling is far from being exception to this rule. The key is to spot the moment when your fun turns into addiction. It's not so hard to spot that moment, if by the "moment" we mean a period of time, which is several days long.

If you are having fun with something, you feel good afterwards, full of energy and strength to do many things, things you have to do for work etc. But there is little fun in being addicted. In any case, sports betting is one of the safest and in this I completely agree with you, because this type of gambling depends on your knowledge and experience, such as poker or Black Jack.  Because if you take into account a game such as dice or roulette, then to a greater extent the final result will depend on your luck, and not just on the strategy worked out.  But the knowledge must be complete in order to study the entire history of victories and defeats of the team on which you put.
