Ethereum replacing Bitcoin is more precisely impossible.
So, I don't want to imagine anything related to this, however the development of ethereum is definitely Bitcoin will remain the main cryptocurrency.
the problem is that Ethereum has not been developing technologically now and therefore we cannot talk about some kind of its movement. I am worried that Ethereum can lose its position and disappear from the top 10

Ethereum is the best time that ever happened to the crypto industry, although it has lost it's potential. We have different projects popping up every now and then which offer similar utility that the Ethereum blockchain can boost off and most of these projects are doing quite well with innovation that give Ethereum a run for its position as the second most traded coin. Ethereum doesn't have the community backing to overthrown Bitcoin although its user case is far superior to that of bitcoin (that's Ethereum offer more to the table than bitcoin does).

I was once a fan of ethereum and always thought someday (due to all you said in your OP & even more reasons) ethereum will take its rightful place at the top of the food chain but with the recent development, i doubt ethereum will even retain its spot (second most traded coin by market cap) in 2-5years time. Ethereum has lost every atom of hype it once have and soon will be replace by other projects. Libra, EOS, XRP is one of those projects to watch out for (although not a fan either). The altcoin market is mostly influenced by hype and once your project loosing that, it get overshadow by other similar project or far superior projects.

I think, Ethereum will never replace Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the first public blockchain and the starter of Crypto currency. This is the small reason, But there are , many technical reason, who have proved that bitcoin is more superior the Ethereum.

It is difficult to imagine replacing Bitcoin with any coin, but in the world of the crypto industry, everything is possible, and if this happens, I think it will be interesting to look at the market in such conditions.

Ethereum, being the world's second largest cryptocurrency by market cap, has all the potential of replacing Bitcoin in the future. It's more than just a cryptocurrency, being a platform for the development and execution of smart contracts (aka dApps). With ETH, it's possible to launch alternative cryptocurrencies without the need to start a Blockchain from scratch. It's also possible to use the ETH blockchain for other purposes such as voting, proof of identity, verification of documents, and more. In contrast, Bitcoin's only use is for finance where it cannot be implemented in other areas by its own.

Given all of the benefits Ethereum provides on top of Bitcoin, it makes me wonder whenever it'll be able to replace the pioneer cryptocurrency within the future? As long as, Ethereum keeps progressing in development and mainstream acceptance, it'll be much closer to Bitcoin every step of the way. What are your thoughts? Huh

At this point of time, it's far fetched, let's do an analysis 24-hour hour volume is not even half, we have a very huge gap in the market cap between Bitcoin and Ethereum, let's admit it Ethereum has done a lot in the industry it makes things easy for companies to create their token and launch their ICO.

If Ethereum will soon replace or become a threat they should move forward and inch their way but Bitcoin dominance is increasing let's should be happy about this because it could only mean Cryptocurrency is gaining a lot of trust and adoption, once Bitcoin is fully adopted then we can talk of other coins that could challenge Bitcoin, and it could not even be Ethereum.

Those things you have mentioned are fact but nothing beats bitcoin as the best store of value.
And for ethereum to be able to replace bitcoin someday it needs huge gain for its market cap but I doubt this is will ever happen. I'm an ethereum holder though.

That thought is definitely difficult to achieve, ethereum replacing bitcoin in the future. The development of ethereum is quite slow these days if Iay say and there's no significant improvements. It will be a great competition though seeing ethereum strive to replace bitcoin

There is every possibility that Ethereum or any other altcoin could replace bitcoin someday. But in reality, bitcoin is the first known cryptocurrency that is well recognized and widely accepted. I would like to say that the chance(s) of any other alt replacing is kind of slim.

The scheduled development for ethereum is planned for January 2020. There is lot of news stating that there is lag in the development as well the ethereum team has took some bad decisions. Maybe from the technical perspective there is lot of mistakes with the ethereum team, but it is the one that has gained importance after bitcoin and stood strong in the market giving competence to bitcoin. Now or then ethereum isn't gonna replace now or in the near future.

I fully agree that ethereum can replaced bitcoin someday in case no new technology deliver by bitcoin it self, because eth have platform called dApps. However i just think replace bitcoin by merketcap is really possible, but replace bitcoin price is not possible. There will be so many rich people if that happen

If Ethereum can replace Bitcoin, this is a new turning point in this crypto market, if the world accepts or all agrees to this alternative, the new era of a crypto like the ETH has a breakthrough. On the other hand, to replace Bitcoin my personal view is very difficult because the birth of Bitcoin that people have accepted is extremely difficult. Maybe in the future it may happen, but who knows what the future will be.

If the Ethereum price will surpass the Bitcoin in some day then the whole world will go for ETH blockchain this blockchain will be more refined. On the another hand Bitcoin price will drop gradually as the demand for this coin become very less. But, in the near future it is not going to happen.

It's possible although the number doesn't support this, we can only talk about Ethereum replacing Bitcoin if those coins that are behind Ethereum cannot sustain their development to challenge Ethereum, we have seen XRP dislodging Ethereum, so it is an active threat until now.

Bitcoin dominance is now very huge, that replacing it with a coin like Ethereum is very unlikely investors want wide adoption and they know Bitcoin should be the front runner of this adoption, so we should talk of adoption first before the thought of replacing Bitcoin

Very can not imagine Ethereum can replace the position of Bitcoin. And ethereum dominates the crypto market more. This is a big thing in the crypto world if it really happens. But unfortunately, many people say this will not happen and only wish it.

If not Ethereum, than who? Very possible that Ethereum become a new king because it better many times than Bitcoin and have a more useful technology. A lot of new coins based on Ethereum ERC-20 standart - it is warranty of liquidity.

The Ethereum is a really good coin and from top list in the coinmarketcap. But I'm not sure Ethereum can replace to Bitcoin. Because the Bitcoin looks like the main currency on the crypto market and all the exchanges main trading pair with Bitcoin. The Binance Chain is giving a good fight to the Ethereum. Then it's hard to replace Bitcoin to Ethereum right now.

Well, according to the experts Ethereum is next into Bitcoin. Eth was also popular in the entire world now and being accepted also like bitcoin as mode of payment in different merchants all over the world now even here in my country too. So its fine with me if ethereum replace the position of bitcoin as a king.

The benefits of Ethereum blockchain are not limited to the stated features of Dapps but you talk about replacing the first cryptocurrency. The proabilitires are low because of the Bitcoin dominance which doesn't fall below 55% for the last months. Every altcoin is bought and sold with the BTC pairs, there are no concrete crypto markets altcoin USD pairs.

While Ethereum might have many advantages over Bitcoin, it looks hardly possible for ETH to surpass BTC. The core fundamental of Bitcoin is that it its functions do not change and they remain the same.
Ethereum while it has captured a bigger market space than others, it cannot move ahead of Bitcoin because of the market capital Bitcoin has. The rate of adoption for Bitcoin is much larger than that of any other block chain currency of the market.
Also, people have been witnesses of the rate of return on investment on Bitcoin which no other currency has touched yet.

yes, I think the function and development of ethereum is so good starting from the first launch. certainly someday ethereum will be able to replace the position of BTC in cryptocurrency, but looking at the last few months with the development of ethereum which continues to decline I am a little wondering if it might be possible. because it is very bad for the position of Ethereum in crypto. let alone replacing BTC to maintain its position alone is already very good for ethereum.

Well with the many uses of ethereum, it's possible to head towards that direction but I really doubt it is possible, if eventually it will get to that point, it will take years.
In all this is cryptocurrency and in this space, everything is possible, full if uncertainties
