in fact ethereum is also the number two coin in the world and also the growth in ethereum market prices is also growing better, but I think nothing can beat its position as bitcoin at this time. because bitcoin is also the most important coin

it is very difficult to compete with bitcoin in the market with almost 70% dominance held by bitcoin.
crypto is not just a matter of the benefits a project has made but there is something more important than everything, namely money.

Ethereum, being the world's second largest cryptocurrency by market cap, has all the potential of replacing Bitcoin in the future. It's more than just a cryptocurrency, being a platform for the development and execution of smart contracts (aka dApps). With ETH, it's possible to launch alternative cryptocurrencies without the need to start a Blockchain from scratch. It's also possible to use the ETH blockchain for other purposes such as voting, proof of identity, verification of documents, and more. In contrast, Bitcoin's only use is for finance where it cannot be implemented in other areas by its own.

Given all of the benefits Ethereum provides on top of Bitcoin, it makes me wonder whenever it'll be able to replace the pioneer cryptocurrency within the future? As long as, Ethereum keeps progressing in development and mainstream acceptance, it'll be much closer to Bitcoin every step of the way. What are your thoughts? Huh

When it comes to possibilities, I think anything can happen. But I am pessimistic that ethereum will replace bitcoin as a coin with the highest market cap value. Bitcoin is no longer considered a currency but has become a store of value and this makes it difficult for any altcoin to replace bitcoin

I think the answer : No, but not sure.

Because, BTC is the same as "gold" in cryptocurrency world. We can have any " money" name here, but, gold is only one. Back to ETH, it's helpful technical with erc-20, like "service". So, we can't compare between "gold" and "service". Both have different values

Question. Will there be an Ethereum without Bitcoin?
Will you like it if someone stolen your idea and created a new one with just added features? Me? I wont.

Both can live at the same time. Bitcoin as store of value and also as a currency for usage of services which Ethereum is offering.
I think I have been doing that for quite some time now. But, I still dont store much of Ethereum. Just enough for gas prices.
Still I let my bitcoin in my rusty wallet and when there is a surge in transaction fees and slow tx, then that is where I use Ethereum.
But, it will be better if those two will be left alone.
Look at what XRP did. Same with bitcoin just centralized, speed and cheaper fees. Is that fair?

Please don’t just start with your own funny thinking now, how is it possible for Ethereum to top bitcoin with his dwindling valueevery day, and with all the project launching that Ethereum has given birth to, what has it given birth tosimply lots of scam projects that are affecting the cryptocurrency world today.

One of the reason why the market is nit growing as it ought to have been is because of scammers that has hijacked the ico market and you can see as it has affected virtually all the product of Ethereum that they are almost going off the market, majority of them are heading to zero already, so tell what record of success that Ethereum has had that would make it be more recognized than bitcoin, it is not only Ethereum that run chain services there are other ones that could do more than what you listed here.

Maybe what will happen is Ethereum have highest price and be central, but bitcoin wouldn't die, it will still on there, on market and we can't resist it except if bitcoin blockchain is error and make it can't be used again. But as long crypto still beside us, any of it which can make us get profit, we must support it. Because crypto is not only about bitcoin but for all altcoins that already created.

Yes, Ethereum has a great potential to do all the things what you have written. But. Currently is so slow for doing such things and we can only speculate what will be in the future.

As long as BTC would stay so dominant, nothing will change on crypto market. BTC will increase in price and all other altcoins are going to stay on the same spot. Patiently waiting for things to change, because I love ETH much more than BTC, but it seems unrealistic for ETH to overcome BTC.

This kind of situation will be possible, however time would tell in the future, not now because as we can see market situation now no other crypto can be like bitcoin in terms of ita price value and volume trading. But i think in the future it could be possible that ethereum would be as like as bitcoin in price and volume, it is possible because ethereum is a potential coin and can be number one altcoin in the market someday.

No altcoin will ever replace Bitcoin, I understand you just made some analysis on this and not actually implying that it will come to past. Bitcoin being the pace setter is by far the best crypto for long term, this can be seen from the market dominance, which hit 70% recently. Ethereum is great with developments from onset, no doubt, but I also think the developers are more relaxed now and that's why they keep postponing the launch of ETH 2.0.

I think it is impossible Ethereum will be able to replace Bitcoin someday, but because of this Cryptocurrency where anything can happen it can become possible. If Ethereum replaces Bitcoin later this will become a big history, where Ethereum has a very popular platform among the Cryptocurrency projects. Then this will be very expensive, and Cryptocurrency will fully make Ethereum a favorite coin in investment and trade.

I don't think that's possible. ethereum replacing bitcoin is something that is very impossible. I'm even more certain if ethereum will be replaced by ethereum competitors like EOS, Stellar, or even Binance Chain in the future. if ethereum hasn't solved the scalability problem, they won't be able to develop.

bitcoin dominance is now more than 65%, and how can ethereum replace bitcoin, whereas they only have 7% volume of the entire marketcap. I think this is very improbable and plus the number of shit coins in the ethereum network, making ethereum look bad. ethereum will never be able to replace bitcoin even if they launch ethereum 2.0 or even the POS consensus.

Ethereum is a better cryptocurrency than Bitcoin from some perspective, but as digital currency Bitcoin is still more natural, Ethereum has several uses such as smart contract and native coins which doesn't make it a true currency. If Ethereum will replace Bitcoin it will only be as more advance, but Bitcoin will never be replaced as the native cryptocurrency.

When Ethereum replaced Bitcoin from market value, it represented the arrival of the new blockchain era. I think the technology application has already landed. I think that era will come, maybe it will be other cryptocurrencies. It is not necessary to be Ethereum. The future may also be other cryptocurrencies, just personal guesses.

It will not happen. Ethereum is cheaper and faster, and it has more possibilities, but it is not for accumulating money. With BTC, you can get profits. ETH is about creating a new system through smart contracts and decentralized applications for use cases that were previously impossible.
These cryptocurrencies do not compete, and Ethereum is not going to take the leading position.

Crypto is unpredictable so I wont be surprised when such happens but for now Bitcoin still leading and Ethereum has to undergo a lot in other to replace Bitcoin

Dapps is no longer a spectacular project, because now there are many Dapps projects that are better than ethereum.

if that's the only advantage of ethereum, I think it's very difficult to replace bitcoin. even if ethereum does not develop, they can be replaced by competitors. EOS, Cardano, Tron and staller every day continues to grow. and today ethereum still has difficulty coping with their problems.

so basically I don't think ethereum will replace bitcoin.

if it is true that ethereum will replace bitcoin someday, then bitcoin's reputation will be greatly reduced. even other cryptocurrency will be very influential. for me it is impossible for ethereum to rise above bitcoin, bitcoin is too strong fundamentally
