I don’t see anything bad here.  Although very faintly imagine it.  Because Bitcoin will always be a leader.  Ethereum is quite strong and productive coin.  I think that he will cope with the duties of a leader.

I don't think there is anything that needs to be replaced and as a substitute because they all have their own way. Besides that, if ethereum replaces bitcoin then what does ethereum replace it as?
please give me an understanding of what position or role should be replaced?
if you talk about prices then we can't compare the two because inventory greatly affects prices while you know that bitcoin has a very limited supply whereas ethereum is only limited every year

To replace bitcoin I think is very difficult and this is very difficult to happen, if bitcoin is extinct then altcoin including ETH will be destroyed because bitcoin dominates the world market price of crypto, and bitcoin is very far compared to altcoin so it is very difficult to compete with it, so it will not be able to replacing the position of bitcoin which has made the parent of all altcoin.

we don't know what will happen in the future, but for the time being I have an opinion that ethereum cannot possibly replace bitcoin, although ethereum continues to develop but it is difficult to match the position of bitcoin, in terms of dominance, popularity, volume, and investor confidence then there is no altcoin that can beat bitcoin
The dominance, popularity, volume and investor confidence are all relative and volatile. This can all change in cryptocurrency in a few days. As some here correctly refer to one Jewish proverb, one should not follow the crowd. Therefore, it’s best not to bet on the coin on which the majority puts, especially, only on one specific coin, no matter how promising it seems.
As for ethereum, then everything can be. Any coin can be replaced with another one in the future, bitcoin still has some immunity, however, in the long run, everything is possible.

To be frank, you stated good facts but however have you taken time to study the market recently, you will see that the need for Bitcoin or rather the way investors are going for Bitcoin is growing tremendously. Nowadays people see it fit holding Bitcoin more than ETH. In my own opinion I don't think ETH will stand a chance of beating Bitcoin in the long run.

ETH does have several advantages over bitcoin. Innovations related to smart contracts, chains, etc. are widely used by developers. But, Bitcoin has a special place as a kickback in Cryptocurrency. There are many cryptocurrency, but ordinary people only view cryptocurrency as bitcoin. Even though it was only imagined, I felt that it was quite difficult for BTC to be displaced. But cryptocurrency is always full of surprises and unpredictability.

ETH will NEVER replace Bitcoin in a million years.
Ethereum blockchain is full and it will more likely explode before it replaces anything.

What about staking? 2020 or 2120?
And when staking is done....don't expect bug free ETHtime

If this will happen then we will simply move to Ethereum investment as it will become the most trusted and the most potential crypto currency in the market to make more money for us but i think no Altcoins can ever supersede Bitcoin as it already build a deep foundation of trust among the crypto users that even it has no commodity to introduce but still it is the most trusted crypto currency.

Ethereum, being the world's second largest cryptocurrency by market cap, has all the potential of replacing Bitcoin in the future. It's more than just a cryptocurrency, being a platform for the development and execution of smart contracts (aka dApps). With ETH, it's possible to launch alternative cryptocurrencies without the need to start a Blockchain from scratch. It's also possible to use the ETH blockchain for other purposes such as voting, proof of identity, verification of documents, and more. In contrast, Bitcoin's only use is for finance where it cannot be implemented in other areas by its own.

Given all of the benefits Ethereum provides on top of Bitcoin, it makes me wonder whenever it'll be able to replace the pioneer cryptocurrency within the future? As long as, Ethereum keeps progressing in development and mainstream acceptance, it'll be much closer to Bitcoin every step of the way. What are your thoughts? Huh
I'm not too sure but it is possible Ethereum could develop and replace Bitcoin in the cryptocurrency market, maybe it takes another decade maybe when cryptocurrency economic growth is growing , mungkin di saat itu akan di sebut era baru dunia blockchain

trust is a strength in this business. we don't know if ethereum can replace bitcoin going forward, but if you look at the liquidity between bitcoin and ethereum it seems difficult for the near term bitcoin can be replaced, even yesterday when altcoin went down, bitcoin actually went up alone. we wait for the future of both, because I invest in both Grin

they have a different market share where bitcoin has taken control of the entire crypto market and is at the heart of trading and shipping ethereum has corporate projects to start and it is imperative to buy ethereum to get trading transactionssome markets are centralized, and ethereum has chased bitcoin to 15% of the total price of bitcoin in 2017, maybe it will happen again the following year.

In marketcap, I doubt if Eth can surpass Btc. Early this year XRP marketcap was higher than that of Eth yes Eth has the technology advantage over Btc but Btc yet is the real deal in cryptocurrency Eth surpassing its marketcap isn't happening anytime soon. My thoughts though which might be wrong only time will tell.

why not ? most of us here agree that eth can possibly surpass btc someday while you your disagreeing with it ?  cant you see that eth can also do what btc can do  . eth can be an investment tool and at the same time eth can be used perfectly as a currency   but eth do also have other unique use that cant be found on btc and that is that it has an ability to  create erc20 tokens  . btc on the other hand have only two use and that is for investment and currency but it hardly being used as a currency due to some issue's  .

In fact, the first and the first position that the BTC has left. I think Ethereum will never be able to occupy this position. Because at present didn't even have the status of Bitcoin as an alternative to Ethereum.

I think the same erc 20 that made etheruem that popular that made etheruem more like the second rated coin is also what is now drawing etheruem down because most icos that used the etheruem platform turned out as scam and this is like creating negative image laundering of etheruem. I hope it gets better though but I don't see it taking over btc at least not soon

most people here certainly doubt ethereum is able to replace bitcoin, it is seen from all aspects difficult for ethereum or other altcoin to replace the position of bitcoin as king of coins, bitcoin has a larger community than ethereum which supports the development of bitcoin, although ethereum is progressing in development but still bitcoin remains more dominating

If ethereum will replace bitcoin someday I think many investor willbe disappointed because all we know that large number of crypto investors are trusting and already invest at bitcoin not in eth. So many will experienced loss specially to those who hold their bitcoin as a longterm investment. But I think when bitcoin replaced by eth this will be temporary because I know people will still trust and invest to bitcoin.

If we look forward, ethereum technology makes it easy for everyone and developers to start a new project that we can see until now.
if the price is your benchmark, then ethereum and bitcoin are certainly very different, therefore it is very likely that in the future ethereum will reach the top position with high trading volume because ethereum has many new technologies that are continuously being developed by new projects
