in the near future it will not be possible to replace bitcoin by ethereum for now, ethereum does have several uses for better but it's still lacking in love for crypto users. there are still many beginners who still come in crypto, they don't yet understand about alotcoin other than bitcoin they know

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

It isn't impossible for Ethereum to surpass Bitcoin in the future since it's already being used as a mode of payment, it only needs massive adoption. However, for it to surpass Bitcoin, it still needs to undergo a lot of things. We all know the capability of Bitcoin to stay on top so Ethereum needs to reach the achievements of Btc first.

If ethereum replaces bitcoin someday I think this would be good assuming that the ethereum will grow big like bitcoin. If this happens bitcoin and ethereum become close when it comes to its volume and price I assume that the market will also grow big. But as of now I don't think that the ethereum will replace and dominate bitcoin for now, maybe for the next 2-10 years? Who knows if this would happen or not.

All the beginners are know the crypto currency, once they understand automatically they listen the Bitcoin and Ethereum, In crypto platform Bitcoin will always stay in a top region so it will never go to anywhere and we don't need any replacement for Bitcoin.
I hope both are survive on forever and nothing will replace these two coins.

Ethereum, being the world's second largest cryptocurrency by market cap, has all the potential of replacing Bitcoin in the future. It's more than just a cryptocurrency, being a platform for the development and execution of smart contracts (aka dApps). With ETH, it's possible to launch alternative cryptocurrencies without the need to start a Blockchain from scratch. It's also possible to use the ETH blockchain for other purposes such as voting, proof of identity, verification of documents, and more. In contrast, Bitcoin's only use is for finance where it cannot be implemented in other areas by its own.

Given all of the benefits Ethereum provides on top of Bitcoin, it makes me wonder whenever it'll be able to replace the pioneer cryptocurrency within the future? As long as, Ethereum keeps progressing in development and mainstream acceptance, it'll be much closer to Bitcoin every step of the way. What are your thoughts? Huh
Never going to happen, i am not even sure that in few years ETH will still be the second most popular crypto coin in the world because ETH smart contract is not helping at all, the problem of crypto is all on token scams here and there, ETH teams need to reconsider how users will start using its smart contract for the safest of investors

same for me, that will never happen. eth is a total different species.
but did you know that the eth market cap was higher than the btc for a very very short moment once?

but eth has by far a strong support. there are lot of stats outside about that kind of fundamentals

Even though it is not ethereum, bitcoin will get replaced in the future for sure. Bitcoin is just like the mobile brand called Nokia where they are the pioneer of the market of cellphone and the smartphones came and they dominate the market and eventually, they replaced Nokia from being one of the best seller and Nokia is just a part of the history of cellphones.

I think this is really normal. If Ethereum were to replace bitcoin in the future, it would be a good sign that the power of manipulation has decreased significantly. because bitcoin is unmanaged and that is why many manipulative organizations come to it.
I hope this happens soon and the crypto market is developed in a "fresh & clean" way.

This cannot happen in the future. I have been involved in the cryptocurrency market since 2013 and the value of bitcoin has always been top 1. After many dump stages, BTC still holds very high value, unlike ETH, bitcoin owns the first blockchain technology.

and so it will continue in the future. Bitcoin will remain number one and no other currencies will be able to remove it from first place.

Not going to happen in my opinion, because BTC has shown that it is the only coin that has liquidity and is popular enough among investors to survive in every market. On the contrary ETH has shown that it is not competitive.

I don't think ethereum will replace bitcoin someday, but if this really happens maybe more people are getting interest to invest in ethereum and this will pump the price for sure, but in order to achieve to become top 1 or to replace bitcoin., ethereum should rise up more the marketcap.

the fact is that only those people who are inside of the market and believe in cryptocurrency see this good opportunity for making profit, but other people consider this market in not good for investment

Yes, I also think so, that the Ethereum platform is superior than Bitcoin. I think Bitcoin is only a digital payment instrument, whereas Ethereum has a smart contract. I think in the future Ethereum can be superior than Bitcoin in terms of market capitalization.

you're wrong. Bitcoin also has the ability to create smart contracts, but now it is not yet technically prepared. Bitcoin blockchain will be used for smart contracts in the future

Ecosystems that have been formed at this time will not be replaced by ethereum and in my opinion if there will be changes then what happens is that the system of cryptocurrency will experience significant changes including changes in prices and altcoin is experiencing price noise.

I doubt it will be replaceable in terms of altcoins, maybe in other method of usage like in paying or doing transcations but in altcoins its still way too far among other alts, eth can be surpass by XRP but BTC can still be in the top as long as no new alternatives will be involved like how some stocks and forex holderd shift in crypto before.

When Ethereum replaced Bitcoin from market value, it represented the arrival of the new blockchain era.
No, not really.  You put too much weight on market cap, nor is there a 'new blockchain era'.

Yes, there were some points wherein Ethereum is superior than Bitcoin, but we can't deny the fact that Bitcoin has been the father of crypto
ETH has features that bitcoin does not have, to be sure, but look at all the worthless tokens that have been created on the ETH blockchain.  To date, that functionality has been misused and underutilized for what it could be doing.  Bitcoin is king of crypto and I think it always will be.  It was the first crypto and has the strongest community of supporters, and that cannot be understated.

ETH certainly has a strong community, but it's nowhere near the size of bitcoin's.  Thus I don't think bitcoin is ever going to be usurped by any other coin, not just Ethereum.

Not going to happen in my opinion, because BTC has shown that it is the only coin that has liquidity and is popular enough among investors to survive in every market.
Good point about liquidity, which sort of relates to a strong community.  ETH doesn't suffer the problem of being illiquid, but many other coins of lesser quality do.

Binance in addition to focusing on developing the exchange, if I see it now, there are many altcoins who also swap into the Binance Chain. it is not impossible that indeed Binance will provide many surprises in the cryptocurrency market. because indeed there are many surprises here and no one can guess the direction of the market or the development of the project in the future
