Bitcoin is gaining so much dominance that altcoins just get oversold and crushed by big players. I think once btc settles down, the time for altcoins will come and they will more than recover. I also think the bullrun won’t happen very soon. These drops can not be prevented, either the news about the bitcoin dumping ponzi scheme is true, or it is just some news attached to price action without relevance. No clue about the latter, however what I know is that real world usage of blockchains will be the trigger to the bullmarket. Real token usage and value proposition is needed for an blockchain company to profit/grow and take over or atleast get a marketshare in whatever branche.

Because of volatility its hard to know when the price goes up or down and impact this dump is not yet suprises because the chart plus indicator tell we already in a downtrend this is a good opportunity to accumulate more plus the altcoin affected again that create a hard dump.

Many talk about the trade wars of the US and China.Maybe there's some truth to that.A global recession is also expected,which has already begun.Since traditional Finance is closely related to cryptocurrencies,it is possible that this has also become a reason for lower prices.

In all honesty, the drop isn't really surprising anymore. I think we are all used to think for the past years that the market has been acting like that, it's basically a normal thing already for the crypto market.

You don't have to anticipate a bull run, we've just ran far from the bottom since December 2018 up to the current price that we have right now. Aren't we grateful to see such gains?

anything can happen in the world of cryptocurency ... worry will only make us worse off in the current situation which is on the decline ... and it is good for now that we rest in the trade we do ... and return to trading when the bullrun returns ... .

It could be also because of the stock market dropping and so is the USD.
This cases is normal. An abnormal movement by now is when altcoins are being pumped. It doesnt happen anymore. We are getting deeper and deeper and no up trend.
Bitcoin pumped then altcoins dumped. Bitcoin dumped and so is altcoin. Ergh. It is getting tiresome.

Here in crypto currency an also other businesses there are certain times that you should be stronger that yesterday in order for you to survive. Yeah it does bother every hodler but i think and hope this will be the last dip before big move up and full recovery towards previous highs and maybe new high will be created for atleast btc, for alts i think we need to wait more.

Same here. If you are holding btc or other famous altcoins with very solid foundation, there's nothing to worry about. What we are experiencing is just a normal market movement. The roller coaster ride in crypto is very common. This is where your opportunity lies. You can join via short-term trading to earn good profits and there's no need to wait for the so-called bull run as you don't know when will it happen.

As an older member in this forum, I am sure you understand that this is not the first time that Bitcoin price dumps so why the panic.
It's not as if the price that dropped is huge or to the extreme. Bitcoin can't be growing at a stretch without no price reduction. The price fluctuation is what makes up this market. There is no call for alarm.

It won't look bothering to me mate. In fact, we started at very low this year, imagine ETH price at below $100 but still, people never give up. Though the current price doesn't look so good but I'll still be looking forward that it will soon to recover in the next quarter. A huge bitcoin sell of that happened in some exchange sites, this has already confirmed by some news if there was a big scammer has dumped its billion worth of bitcoin in the market. This creates a flash downtrend for bitcoin and the altcoin actively following it and then this caused the major bearish trend right now. 
That is still in the investigation.

I would say that this is a normal thing that we see every day in this market. And I do hope that you have been in the game already and learn that the market is very unpredictable, pattern change very quick and if everyone think that the price will go South, it will suddenly went on the other direction.

For long term hodlers, I don't think that they are surprised by the sudden ups and down. Who told you that there will be an anticipated bull run for altcoin in 2019?

The major causes of huge drop is that there are no demands, no one is buying and instead what we are seeing is that investors are dumping their altcoins. Market bleeding always bring harm to everyone here, it's how you are going to take advantage of this situation that separates a smart investor from a beginner.

Of course as we have waited for the Bullish market to come and we have waited for it for a very long time now since Dec 2017. They say that the current low performance was due to SEC filed an emergency law suit against certain ICO but maybe there are other reasons but we may consider this one. Here is the link

I think the market is correcting a bit before continuing to increase sharply, bitcoin has risen sharply since the lowest bottom of 2018. I think that altcoin is continually being discounted is a normal thing in the annual cycle of the market, altcoin's market capitalization is being sucked into bitcoin as it keeps rising sharply since the beginning of 2019. meanwhile on CMC There are more than 2000 projects, many of which are garbage projects and they need to be purified by the market. I think in 2019 the market will still have strong growth but only for good projects.

The market is getting worse day by say and its because of nothing but manipulation , btc has witness lot of manipulation regard the dump and pump of its activities in some days back as regard the chart and TA which technically show we need some dump to specific area but the recent market has tried all to stop the act coming thru which has also affect the alts market regard it more dump , so I think crypto is getting more insecure to my own understanding in the hands of manipulators.
