For a while, Valencia was the number 3 in Spain, behind Real Madrid and Barcelona. Over the years, they have been overtaken by various teams. I don't know why Valencia has been so disappointing this season, maybe it has something to do with policy. Have had some decent players in recent years. Judging from the current performance it is quite difficult for them to qualify and indeed Betis and Villareal and Sociedad are likely to be there.

Barcelona are certainly in good shape and form, the best form they have had so far this season. I don't know whether that is also the case with Real Madrid in terms of football, but they do glow with confidence after they eliminated PSG in the CL. So for me Madrid is still the favorite to win the match. Should Barcelona win it would be good to start the chase for 2nd place, but they are still too many points behind for the championship.
