It is too early to say who will lead the La Liga standings at the end of the season but there is no harm in speculating that this season Barcelona must be careful when Madrid returns to its best form. It's a big problem for Barcelona if two or three of their key players get injured because only Yamal that's not in the team is affecting them seriously. This means that Real Madrid is stronger than Barcelona for them to survive without several key players then. If Barcelona loses two more matches, it will be a good opportunity for Real Madrid to take over the first position from them.

It a really good turn up for Real Madrid for close the points gap between them and Barcelona, at least 4 points gap different with an outstanding game which if real madrid win they can reduce the points by 3 and it will remain a single point. The chemistry between Mbappe, Vinicius and Arda Guller and also Bellingham was actually a great achievement for real madrid even  Ancelotti can not hide by saying he likes Arda Guller the way he play. The current issue real madrid are facing is about Vinicius injury which was realised after they carried out a series of tests. Vinicius will make its return on 18th December for intercontinental Cup final, during is away he will miss 6 matches which is against Liverpool, Getafe, Athletic Club, Girona, Atalanta and Rayo Vallecano. This is so bad for real madrid but I trust Ancelotti, he will find is way out.

Now they have only a few points difference with Barcelona. If real Madrid had succeeded to play like this. Beyond any doubt, they can get the first place very easily. I agree, but I want to add that Real Madrid, due to the good financial management of the board, managed to buy many good players. I am not very convinced about some of the decisions that Flick is taking. Something is going much worse for them after they had this insanely good start into the season. That is maybe one problem that Barcelona has to work on in the coming months and years. I remember when Guardiola was the coach many years ago, their substitutional players were often times a 10/10 and they could easily afford injuries, red cards or other kinds of problems. Now it is a bit as if Barcelona can't easily substitute players without losing tons of quality on the field. It's ok for now because the other teams can't do that either in La Liga as you can see with Real Madrid and Atletico.

Flick is rotating too much at times despite all players being available. He said early in the season that he made a mistake with one player who got injured when he played for the national team. It's all good giving younger players a rest, but sometimes he rotates too much and it instantly breaks Barcelona's flow. Giving players a rest should still preserve a fair chance to win any game.

They now have three games that shouldn't be too difficult in my opinion, although I have to add that Stade Brest is kind of an unknown given that they have 3 victories and 1 draw so far in the Champions League, but they haven't had a strong opponent like Barcelona until now. Still though everyone knows how the dynamics can go in such a game.

Reaching the top 8 should have priority for Barcelona because otherwise it would be against Flick's goal, which is giving players rest. But playing two extra rounds in the Champions League means quite the contrary.

It was a good result for Real Madrid because they have taken advantage of the loss by league leaders Barcelona. The best player in the game based on my observation was Vinícius Júnior. He was instrumental in Kylian Mbappé's goal, and he was a threat to Leganes' defense all through the game. Los Blancos still have the opportunity to reduce the gap between them and Barça to one point since they have an outstanding match with Valencia. The match was postponed due to the violent flood that hit the city.

I totally agree with you. The winning aligned very well because Barcelona lost points. All eyes were on Real Madrid to see if they were going to draw or lose, but it was a brilliant win and a good result for them. I was not surprised to have seen Arda Güler score and assist in the match, he is a young, talented footballer who works really hard. I think Ancelotti should start giving him regular time for him to showcase what he can really do on the big matches. Aside Arda’s brilliance in the match, it was a well rounded team effort. Their resilience and team spirit was great. Real Madrid is an elite club with a lot of proven players and talent and I know with this resilience they are putting of late, I am confident they will be able to retain the LaLiga title this season.

Absolutely right!...  Vini was game and he was all over the pitch .. from covering up through the midfield (where modric was supposed to play, a solid 10) to playing the flank ( which is his original position)..

Can y'all recall how he ran from behind and got hold of the ball from the legànes defenders, making them slide through... Ofcourse, he would have made an attempt to score since he was practically 1vs1 with the keeper, but for some reasons, mbappe was at the best position to deliver the ball in the back of the net just perfectly.
Well, let's also look out for a bigger competition; the champions league and they'll have to face Liverpool in 48 hours.

I don't see Atletico Madrid as a threat to Barcelona despite them being in the second position because they have a history of inconsistency even though they will always be at the vicinity of top four teams. The major threat to Barcelona is Real Madrid that will be one point behind Barcelona if they win two of their outstanding matches. The last two matches of Barcelona which they lost one  and drew one seem to have changed the dynamics of the league and made it open for serious competition.  I'm afraid if Real Madrid find their way to the top of the league, then it will be over for Barcelona.

You are right. But Atletico Madrid should not be totally dismissed as a potential threat to Barcelona. While inconsistency has plagued Atletico Madrid over the years, they have the ability to challange top teams. It is undeniable that Real Madrid pose the greatest threat to Barcelona in the race for the LaLiga title. Barcelona currently occupies the top spot with just a four point lead over second placed Real Madrid. However, Madrid have a game in hand, and a win in that match will reduce the gap to just one point. Celta Vigo has been able to have 4 home victory this season, with 2 losses and 1 draw before the club played with Barcelona. If Barcelona was unable to win the club when at Celta Vigo's home, I am doubting Barcelona. See the two matches Barcelona lost to this season which were with clubs that Barcelona supposed to win flawlessly but they disappointed people. At least the result at half time surprised me too, because I thought Villarreal had a pretty good trend at the beginning of this season. Yeah bad news for Real Madrid while Vinicius Junior is having a really productive season (8 goals, 5 assists).

This absolutely means a good opportunity for some good talents among substitutes. I would expect to see Arda Güler more often until Vinicius Junior is back from now on. He already had a nice game against Leganes after being selected for the starting lineup. I hope Ancelotti doesn't send him back to the bench right away. 

However Arda Güler would be able to play more effectively as RW rather than LW. Or he can play nicely as AM as well. It is up to Ancelotti to choose at the end. Maybe he might even think of trying him on the left in Vini's position.
