Mbappe has been a wonderful player when he was in PSG but the two leagues he played are totally different, French league are not strong compared to laliga. PSG is the richest club in the French league that why they can afford any players they want. They don't have any competitor in time of buying expensive and popular players. In laliga real madrid is not left alone in times of affording good and expensive players, their main rival is Barcelona and few others. I think that if a player cannot score a penalty, it may not be his fault but it may be the fault of fate.

It's surprising to see you writing this after Real Madrid were defeated by Athletic Bilbao, previously they had a great chance to be able to lead the standings & replace Barcelona's position in first place. However, they failed to get good results in round 19 of La Liga.

Because of this result, Real Madrid is further away from catching Barcelona even though they have 1 match deficit. I'm really disappointed with Kylian Mbappe, he came with a lot of expectations from the fans, but so far he has not been able to prove his quality at Real Madrid.

Maybe this is just my personal assumption, it can be seen from Mbappe's expression which is like under pressure, especially when he failed to execute from the white spot. previously, the look of disappointment when the goal in the first half was disallowed by the referee. apart from that, Atletico did play quite disciplined and they also had several dangerous opportunities. regarding Real Madrid, initially I thought that Ancelotti would apply the 4-3-3 pattern on paper. but Don Carlo applied the 4-4-2 pattern, pairing Mbappe and Rodrygo. based on statistics, Madrid is much more dominant but regarding the chances, both teams are almost balanced. in this match it should be a momentum for Madrid to continue to compete tightly with Barcelona's points, unfortunately this match did not match the expectations of the club and El Real supporters. plus, Mbappe's performance has the lowest value. this is not good and Madrid must rise again, the match against Girona they should have won in the 16th match session of La Liga.

Ancelotti is getting the defeats he deserves. I've never seen a Real Madrid as bad as the Real Madrid I've been watching lately. I think mbappe has a very heavy burden on him at madrid after the huge expectations placed on him by fans and management, as a player who came with star status from ligue 1, precisly he has not been able to show significant performance in La liga at the moment, so I think maybe he still needs a lot of time to adapt at madrid, in recent games he has failed to make a significant contribution to the madrid game so indeed ancelotti should rethink mbappe's status in the starting eleven at the moment, vinicius was madrid's first penalty taker all along, but since he got injured of course mbappe has taken over that role, but for now maybe ancelotti needs to consider other players like Bellingham, rodrygo or valverde later as pinalty executor.

The change in league is really affecting him to be honest. Just like you said, the French league is very mush easier to play in than the La Liga. They’ve dominate league there and that is why even after he left, the team is still in their best form and will still win the league title this season. There performance which they expected after signing Mbappe has not been really felt because he hasn’t been performing optimally for the team which a lot of hope is one him to also move the team forward. All his career has been in the Ligue 1 and now that he founds himself in the La Liga, it’s becoming hard for him to adapt and dominate the games more than he had done in the Ligue 1.

We may not see the best of Mbappe throughout this season no matter how he tries to prove that he’s still the Mbappe we know his as in PSG. He may used the whole of this season to get to understand himself and the new league he’s playing in. There is not yet correlation in the way they play so I’m not expecting anything spectacular from them at the end of this season. Real Madrid is still at the top for the potential teams to win the La Liga, and even though his form is still not quite impressive, they can still win the La Liga this season.

I hope do bounce back early or at least this phase do end for Real Madrid and we see their players returning from injuries, especially the likes of Camavinga and Vinicius Junior. It's really sad how mbappe recently has been of such poor performance to the point he's not been able to score decent goals again, very disappointing has to be with the missing of penalty kicks recently, in as much as I know he's to blame most of the times, I also throw some blame at the fans and the team too at some point because I believe they probably be giving him so much pressure that it's gradually beginning to affect his performance and ofcourse we shouldn't be expecting he's going to be exceptional like he was in PSG with all of the pressure around him to adapt already with the Spanish game style and start delivering results.

It was a shame that the penalty failed to be converted into a goal. I think if the penalty becomes a goal, perhaps the outcome would be a different story. Maybe it would be a good idea if Ancelotti tried to bench Mbappe for a while because sometimes some players become motivated when they are on the bench. Ancelotti needs to consider signing an experienced striker as well so that it will improve the options in their front line (such as placing Mbappe in another position). I think Victor Osimhen could be a great option.

But at least, I personally do not think Mbappe will find it difficult to adapt like this, because I think a star player should be able to easily maximize his potential even though he is playing in a new team like this, but Mbappe really failed to adapt quickly.

The problem with Mbappe I that he has lost his confidence. Mbappe used to be a player that believed so much in himself. He's the kind of play to bet on himself in any attacking scenario, but now he doesn't just have the dawg in him anymore. The Mbappe of PSG is very different from the one in Madrid.
At PSG he always wanted the ball and always running at defenders, in Madrid, he hardly even makes runs to receive the ball.
When a player has lost confidence, it affects all aspects of his game. They cant convert chances, they don't instil fear in opposing defenders so he's easier to deal with

Hopefully, he gets his confidence and form back because Madrid needs him. Since the midfield is not a midfield that can create loads of chances every match, the attack needs to make use of every chance they get.
