Top teams doing alright suddenly, obviously this has to do with the fact that the ending is getting closer so they are taking the league a lot more seriously. ATM is just 2 points behind Real Madrid, I feel like there is this situation going on where we are talking about ATM may end up passing Real if they lose just a single game, and even a tie would put them at risk.

This is why the City game for Real Madrid is very important but they can't let the league down for the time being neither, they have to win, there is no other option and can't really do anything else at the moment neither. I know that it is going to be a difficult one, and I know that it may not be next game or game after that, but as long as ATM keeps winning, Real needs to win as well.

Real Madrid might not win todays match against Real Sociedad. A couple of key players will be missing for Real Madrid including Benzema and Modric. Madrid always suffer without Benzema. He is their best and highest goal scorer.
Real Sociedad are playing at home and that might be an advantage to them. They play well at home and Madrid won't be in the best of form tonight.
Also, Madrid have a final to play against Osasuna this weekend and they may rest a couple of their players for that final. They will also be thinking of the UCL clash with Man City so their might not be high intensity from Madrid.

Yeah they have a really busy schedule and if ancelotti does not thread carefully he might end up getting everything wrong. Madrid are currently having a champions league match to play which is very vital and also like you have already mentioned a cup finals with osasuna so the possibility of them losing this fixture with real sociedad is quite big because its better to lose in the league which they know is far beyond their reach and focus on other competition which they can potentially win.

One of the most surprising things about Barcelona's current home match against Osasuna is the excellent defense of the visitors. Barcelona beat the Osasuna defense very tightly, but they still struggled to find their first goal.

But wait, you might see how good Barcelona's statistics are in this match. They have dominated attacks, ball possession, shots, but no goals yet. I believe Barcelona will secure 3 points at home today, the chances of winning are still very high even though the match is almost over.

ATM suddenly started scoring multiple goals and also winning matches which is a good one for them because they are currently fighting to finish in the top4 to secure their way to the champions League next season. No doubt ATM are behind Real Madrid because the gap between them are just 5points and they have six more matches before the end of the season but the performance of ATM can not be considered as a better performance than Real Madrid because of their recent performance and number of goals they have scored lately I think the performance of Madrid dropped because of their preparation to face Manchester city in the champions League which should be their main focus knowing that they can't catch up with Barcelona again in their League and they have already secured their ticket to the champions League next season, regardless, Real Madrid will still finish the season ahead of ATM in Laliga.

Barcelona always has trouble finding goals when their opponents are very focused on defending and counterattacking. Barcelona's strategies tend to be easy for their opponents to read, but it's always possible for Barcelona to find a solution because of the individual quality of the players they have.

Lewandowski basically scored a goal in that match, but unfortunately it was disallowed because Ferran was caught offside. Of course it would be a shame if in the end Lewandowski failed to win the top scorer award if Benzema had not stopped scoring goals in every match. Today Benzema had the chance to try to match Lewandowski's goalscoring tally, but I don't think Real Sociedad are an easy opponent to beat. The match is still a goalless draw, but I think both teams can score today.

As I previously suspected that if it didn't end in a draw then one of the teams would score in the remaining time and it seems that Barcelona were lucky enough to have the opportunity to get those 3 additional points through a goal scored by Jordi Alba. Maybe if Osasuna managed to hold on to a draw at least they would still get 1 point, but it seems they weren't so lucky in this match. Lewandowski is again without a goal and the provisional score list for this week will still not change because Benzema did not play against Sociedad today. In the next match I think it will be even more exciting for these two strikers to fight for the la liga golden boots.

I am surprised at the spring towards goal myself. Atletico Madrid has been a team you could always bet on in gambling to score less goals under 2.5 in the goal market or they can easily come by a draw. These days, that's not the case any more.
They seem to score 3-4 goals and there goal scoring often starts right from the first half. I Sort of did hope they could draw with Barcelona when they played but, Barcelona still showed who's boss in the game and though Atletico Madrid lost to dismay of Real Madrid, they didn't have a bad performance.

Real Madrid right now is having a difficult time pressing hard on Real Sociedad. The rearrangement in the team is large and Real Sociedad seems to be getting the better of them.

Girona is currently a very strong team. Girona played against Real Madrid a few days ago and Girona have proved to be a very strong team this season. You predicted perfectly. Real Madrid really got a loss today, they are defeated at Real Sociedad home (Real Sociedad 2-0 Real Madrid).
TBH, I am so surprised about this result, I think Real Madrid should get a draw at least. With this sad loss, Atletico has a chance to overtake Real Madrid position at 2nd place if they win against Cadiz tomorrow. Cadiz is a small club with inconsistent performance, I am sure Atletico Madrid will defeat them and get 3 points. As a Real Madrid fan, I am really disappointed with Real Madrid performance in La Liga.  

By the way, it is true that without Benzema, Real Madrid once again can't win the match. Real Madrid too relies on Benzema, they must fix this by signing a new striker. Diaz must be put on the transfer list, he shouldn't be a substituted player for Real Madrid striker. He never performed as expected!!

Vinicius Junior was suspended due to yellow cards and Benzema was rested. Therefore it was normal to see such result in this match. Real Sociedad were already one of the impressive teams of the season. They are trying to consolidate their position in top four in the end so this was like a golden opportunity for them. They just went for it. If you remember their previous match also ended up with a draw so they are good against Real Madrid this season.

Honestly I believe that Atletico Madrid really deserve the 2nd spot now. There is a huge level of improvement in their effort for a long time and I will be waiting for seeing them maintain the same effort against Cadiz as well. After taking the second spot I don't think they would lose it easily. Because their recent form is much better than Real Madrid.

Atletico Madrid's main problem is just they can't make a good start to the season. If they fix this they can be really competitive for the La Liga title.

Why should Real Madrid be concerned about La Liga and the difference between second and third place, can you explain to me? For a club like Real Madrid, there are only two places: the first and all the others.
