I didn't miss this one game. And you are right that even in this match the Real Madrid squad actually had many chances that almost became goals. I'd rather say that Vinicius Jr was completely unlucky in this fight. He missed the penalty kick because the shot hit the crossbar. Then he had another chance which also hit the crossbar again. Madrid's main weakness has been their over-reliance on Benzema over the last few seasons. And while Benzema is in the squad they should have found a suitable replacement for Benzema. They didn't do it. And now, if Madrid does not get a suitable replacement for Benzema, the team will not be able to win the title next season. Joselu is quite a good striker. But he is not as experienced as Benzema.

Vini and Rodrygo are excellent players no doubt. But they miss a lot of easy opportunities. But Vini is slowly gaining experience. Day by day his performance is getting sharper. The match was quite tough and the two teams attacked each other, but Real Madrid's appearance in attack was even more pressing, it was evident that Barcelona's defense had quite of trouble in escorting attacks from Real Madrid, but it was a shame that the final finish was still quite bad. Barcelona are good at taking advantage of opportunities when Real Madrid is preoccupied with attacking, mistakes made by Alaba or Kroos were put to good use by Barcelona.

The loss of Benzema did look so big when Real Madrid faced Barcelona and his figure was still not replaced in the trial match this. Real Madrid managed to control the percentage of ball possession and usually this rarely happens against Barcelona who often play the ball in the midfield.
