A tough match it was for Barcelona tonight.

Naturally, I am a bit excited that Barcelona lost some points tonight, but it's just the beginning of the season with so many games coming up. I didn't watch most of the game but the last part of action give a glimpse of what the match was about.

I think the decision by the referee not to give a penalty in stoppage time was right. There was a handball by Gavi before Araujo got fouled.

This must be from a Real Madrid fan, because Barcelona is always your toughest opponent; however, this is just the start of the season, and while no one wants to lose some points, that's the game of football; we'll make it up in the next games, and I'm still proud we didn't lose the match despite the red cards.

The current position is still a 0 - 0 draw. In fact, the two clubs are currently playing with 10 players each. Even though Barca really dominated the match, they were not able to penetrate Getafe's goal until now in the 82nd minute. It's a shame even though they had several pretty good opportunities to shoot. But again failed. Ah, it will be a not so good start for Barcelona if they are not able to score a single goal. A draw and with one of the players getting a red card, this is not good enough for a start to the season.

The match between Getafe and Barcelona was quite tense if you look at the final result because Getafe was able to withstand the onslaught of attacks carried out by Barcelona so that a draw was the final result of this match. I thought that before this match started Barcelona could easily get full points in this match, but Getafe, who played defensively, was able to make it difficult for Barcelona players to score goals in this match.

Not a good start but a draw was a big lesson for Xavi to be able to bring his team to victory in the next match. If you look at the statistics, Barcelona certainly played quite impressive in this match, but they failed to score because many golden opportunities were wasted.

Barcelona Winning last season La liga, not the championship you need to correct that typo error, Barcelona's general performance since the last season has indeed been remarkably incredible and I hope they will continue in the same trends in the new season,  scoring and winning with 1:0 goals I the last season is ok but playing 0:0 at 80+ minutes in the opening leg in the current season against a smaller club in the La Liga Getafe is a bigger challenge for the club starting the season on such note.
Anyways,  the match is not ended yet but currently, the odds are not in favour of Barcelona,  since Getafe players are already locking their defence to be able to walk away with a draw in the match.

Let's not engage in hook-making, because La Liga in any case is a classic championship in essence, unlike the cup, in which trademark it would not be wrapped, whether it be La Liga, Ligue 1, Serie A Well, this is just the first round, and a smooth championship is a long distance, so losses are inevitable and it's better to lose 2 points in the first round on the opponent's field than when it's time for decisive matches. In the meantime, let's pay attention to the fact that Real Madrid broke out 2 points ahead in the confrontation.

Personally I think Barcelona deserves to be applauded for their performance tonight against Getafe because of the fact that they played most part of the game with 10 men though their opponents where also reduced to 10 men in the 52nd minute.
IIkay Gundogan was very impressive in his first competitive game for the Catalan club and has shown great signs that he'll make a good signing for them. Barcelona for fact had wanted a win but a draw isn't a bad result as well

For Barcelona the draw is terrible as they have had full control over the game but go home with empty hands regardless. But hey they once again finished a game with a clean sheet and that is what saved them the La Liga title last season.

i agree with you in the part that last season barcelona won la liga because they had a good defense, but when they started to play in european competitions it was visible that barcelona was still at a very low level and this season they once again insisted on the same error, they are counting on the same attacking players that they were in last season and they couldn't score many goals, I don't understand the coach of barcelona, is it really that nobody sees that most of the attacking players of barcelona are not effective and that they don't took the team far in European competitions and that even in La Liga they will have difficulties to win

and to add that it becomes very annoying to watch 90 minutes of barcelona playing because it feels like I'm watching children playing, that's because the way they fail to score goals is something that makes me think: what the hell do these guys have, why do they play so badly, what is their problem? since guardiola left barcelona the team has stopped in time, they can no longer play well, the team currently no longer has an identity, a style of play that is unique and beautiful, and it is clear that on the field the players do not coordinate with passes , it looks like none of them know each other and they don't know which positions each teammate plays, they are not synchronized

even when attacking they can't make plays that surprise the opponent, they spend a lot of time with the ball but they have no idea how to make an effective dangerous counterattack, definitely the coach of barcelona should see this, he could have put players with style of game that were more aggressive in attack, with this squad barcelona does not go far in the european champions league and would only win la liga only if real madrid does not perform well this season

Being the reigning Champions I expected something different from what I'm seeing now, still playing draw till the second half with a red card is something Xavi needs to worry about because this is going to be a big blow for them if the home team get a goal at this time, but if Barcelona gets a goal it will end as a draw because I don't see them defending till the end of this game.

Apparently the match between Getafe and Barcelona is difficult to predict even though initially I was sure Barcelona could win it. Getafe really made it difficult for Barcelona because they defended well, but that doesn't mean Barcelona have zero opportunities. Barcelona's attempts were partially missed today and the game didn't go to plan. Raphinha failed to finish the match because he was awarded a special gift in the first match by the referee with a red card and that has changed many plans throughout the second half.

In the end a goalless draw was inevitable even though Getafe were also sent off in the second half. Barcelona failed to win their first game of the season despite a good form. The referee was a bit controversial, but that's not the reason why Barcelona only managed to get 1 point.

The result of the match was beyond my expectations. I think Barcelona will win this match even though they have to work hard to mess up the home team's defense. because as I predicted earlier, this fight will be very tough. the reason is, referring to Getafe's predicted line-up, Jose Bordalas will choose a defensive pattern of play. and yes, they do. but I didn't think that Getafe would choose the 4-5-1 formation pattern.

instead, I already suspected that Xavi would implement a different system. unfortunately for some reason Raphinha did something unnecessary, which in the end he got a red card.
To be honest, I didn't have time to watch this fight, but I can refer to the data and statistics of the match. even though Barcelona controlled the game, and had lots of chances. in fact, there was not a single chance that they were able to convert into goals. in this match Gundohan also did not play optimally, maybe because this was his first debut with Barcelona in La Liga. well, it looks like Xavi has homework to fix the shortcomings of his squad team. in the next game, Xavi can rotate Gundohan to play in the center like when he was with Manchester City. Pedri can be played on the left, or Gavi.
Anyway, unsatisfactory results in Barcelona's first match. however, it is a start. next, Xavi must bring Barcelona even better.

Barcelona weren't successful this time and Xavi has to take cautions to avoid such mistakes.

The draw was not too bad, especially since the situation was quite pressing for Barcelona after Raphinha was given a red card. After Raphinha left it became clear that Barcelona only matched their strengths to stabilize their game in the first half.

In the second half it was Jaime Mata turn to be sent off from the field which made Getafe play 10 players which made up for the depth of the squads of both teams in this match. I think Barcelona got a lot of golden opportunities but still failed to complete the execution into goals. This result left Barcelona in 10th place in the standings for the first week of the league this season.

In the first half the referee had to issue 4 yellow cards and 1 red card which indicated that this match was very tough and full of drama. I saw several times that Getafe players committed strong fouls on Barcelona players such as Lewandowski, Raphinha and also Ilkay Gundogan, but the funny thing was that the referee seemed to ignore it as if nothing had happened. Damián Suárez, Carles Alena, and several other players seem to have really followed the coach's instructions where at first it was just a way to intimidate the Barcelona players, but in the end this has made the match no longer fun to watch.

I don't know, maybe this is the best way not to lose to Barcelona which is a team that is superior to them. To be honest that I don't see this as an interesting match, but very boring.

They did everything possible to not lose in that match against Barcelona, and they know the key Barcelona success is in these three players, so they tried to get Lewandowski Raphinha and Ilkay Gundogan injured. But yes Sir, they action it's not fun as you say. Because of course it may will be detrimental for Barcelona, if their key player is seriously injured in that match then their plan will not go well.

Getafe - Barcelona was indeed an interesting game in terms of the length of extra time. Barcelona could have won this game actually. I'm saying this even though I knew that they couldn't beat Getafe in their last three head-to-head games in this stadium. Barcelona were the better side here but they weren't effective enough.

Hahah you are right, even though Barcelona controlled the game but unfortunately they couldn't score a goal I don't understand what happened there 14 shots and 75% ball possession what are they doing, rehearsing? I didn't watch this game just checked the final score so really don't know the situation but obviously this is a bad start for Barcelona for the next title fight especially Real Madrid managed to win first.

What confused me in pre-season matches Barcelona was very aggressive they won against 5 teams even though those 5 teams were strong teams somehow in today's match it looks different, are they running something

It was definitely a decent game, I feel like it has to be something like this all game long every game if you ask me. I get that it is going to be tough without a striker, but sometimes they will play like this and even with Benzema or Mbappe they will still have their good midfielders score. Looks like they played alright, obviously a team much lower level than them but at the end of the day they still got the win.

Hopefully they will do well enough in the future and keep playing like this. Ancelotti has a tough job, won the league and UCL a year prior, lost both last season, and now has no striker this season. All those looks like they are getting worse, if he can turn the ship around, that would be a good thing for them.

I thought they weren't going to win that match because when I saw they gave them 2.18 odds,I was even scared of adding them to my ticket,but they won with the odd,and this winning has so many points to prove. They proved that they could still win games without their main striker who just left to another team.They also proved that they don't really need a striker to rely on in the team anymore,atleast every body is capable of winning games,and I would say that if Ancelotti keeps on building that pattern and giving them that mentality that any player in the team can score,it will really be good for the team because they will win games without hoping on any particular player on the field to score,everybody will be placed with the responsibility to score goals.

Real Madrid had a good performance and they won the game against Athletico Bilbao with a 2-0 result but the sad thing for Real Madrid is this season is they were not lucky enough because their Brazilian defender Militão got injured na now according to the Medical reports on the news about this player, he maybe lost whole season because this player can't play for Real Madrid for months.

The parking buss strategy was very effective in preventing barcelona from winning the game. I think another club shall try to repeat this strategy for upcoming week. Barcelona faces difficulty to break getafe's great wall. It's a very good performance from getafe to steal 1 point from the big club. Getafe knows what must be done by the club to make sure it will able to steal point from barcelona. Barcelona was even getting red card.

Getafe was able making all of players are feeling so stressed. GGWP for getafe. My expectation to hold barcelona is coming true. I don't expect getafe to win the match but getting draw was enough for that club.
I would like to see the barcelona to face more opponents that used parking bus strategy. Parking buss is key to prevent barcelona from winning the game.

This match was full of emotions, and Barcelona shouldn't have had to get a red card and still have the chance to score even just one goal because Getafe is an opponent that should be easily beaten by professional players owned by Barcelona. This was a bad start for Barcelona because they couldn't get the win and only got a red card.

Even though barcelona was a strong club but it will be far easy to play with 11 players rather than 10. I think that it's not abouw how weak getafe is but barcelona's performance was not so good as well. The tiki taka used by xavi can do nothing when it faces a fully defensive stratey used by getafe. This is also a strong point why tiki taka was always being countered with fully defensive strategy. I saw that how araujo was using his hand to take the ball. There must be some evaluations to be done by xavi to this club.

It's good for real madrid caused by the club is now having 2 points gap to the barcelona. All real fans are hoping barcelona to play the same for the future matches. Draw never be expected by barcelona fans.

My guess if so many people were losing caused by they thought that barcelona gonna win with huge scores against getafe. A grea performance has been showed by getafe. Getafe was not playing so bad against barcelona.

The tension of the match was quite high and Getafe also did not want to take risks when the opponent faced was Barcelona even though Getafe had implemented a bus parking strategy but still they also had to make some crucial decisions by playing rough games to avoid goals in favor of Barcelona.
In this case I think Xavi's decision to make a substitution was quite late because seeing the entry of Gavi and Ansu could have made a difference, it's just that they were quite late in entering the field because if they had entered earlier instead of in the last 10 minutes I think it would have been better.
