Dominance isn't always enough for a team to get a win. Barcelona had issues with finding the target a lot and this cost them two points. If Getafe also didn't get a red card I wonder whether there would have been a chance for Getafe to steal a shocking win.

Hahah you are right, even though Barcelona controlled the game but unfortunately they couldn't score a goal I don't understand what happened there 14 shots and 75% ball possession what are they doing, rehearsing? I didn't watch this game just checked the final score so really don't know the situation but obviously this is a bad start for Barcelona for the next title fight especially Real Madrid managed to win first.

What confused me in pre-season matches Barcelona was very aggressive they won against 5 teams even though those 5 teams were strong teams somehow in today's match it looks different, are they running something   

I didn't understand them as well. There was a quite visible problem on finishing the attacks with goals. I hope to see Lewandowski performing much better in the coming games. Barcelona's start to the previous season was similar to this one though. But the continuation of it had better be similar to that as well.

I would really like to watch a lovely competition between Barcelona and Real Madrid for the title this season. By the way I wonder how many more transfers Barcelona will make. Cancelo is said to be the priority for now but they might make use of a winger too after Dembele has left.

Am not sure why xavi is disappointed after he let a clueless 11 to the pitch, midfielders on the wings and wingers on the bench. it was an awful performance down to horrible coaching and tactics from the manager Xavi. The only advantage is that it is the first game of the season and there are many opportunities to bounce back.

Your post could have been written by me as well as you summed it up exactly as I would have done it. I am not convinced by Barcelona at all and two reasons led to them winning La Liga last season. The strong defense, which we mentioned here, and the fact that Real Madrid underperformed. Barcelona didn't really have any pressure even once. Real Madrid gave up in the league on matchday 25 or so. I can't recall in detail, but it was very early when it was obvious that Real Madrid will try to win the Champions League and the Copa del Rey.

It looked great because Barcelona finished the season with 10 points ahead of Real Madrid, but usually Real Madrid would be around 95 points at least. So I 100% agree with you that Barcelona was not fun to watch and it became very evident how weak they still are when they played internationally.

Xavi was very angry because he was thinking Getafe tried to make the game stop and just destroy the gameplay and buildups in Barcelona. I think Xavi will be punished and his player Raphinha too because of the unfair kick he had to the Getafe player, however, Raphinha said sorry for that red card but I think we should wait for La Liga to announce the punishment.

Raphinha is normally a quite disciplined team when we look at his history of cards given to him. He doesn't get cards often in his career. But the thing he did in this game was really unnecessary. It was a direct red card at the second time if I don't remember wrong. Therefore his punishment might go up to a few games.

This wouldn't be good for Barcelona at all. Because they have just lost Dembele and now Raphinha will be suspended of a red card for probably a few games.

Real Madrid performance was impressive in the match and I see that same good football from the players. The midfield is the best presently and I don't think that any club will be able to have such good midfield. Ancelotti is showing his has good potential as a coach from the way he has done is new formation to play that match. This was the first match and they won the game easily with an excellent victory. I know that this season will the season for Real Madrid to win the Laliga title and other titles too. Their rival Barca drew their first match which isn't a good start for them this season. As for Lunin,he did put in his best in the match but I don't know if he can be the number one keeper in the club,it is his performance in matches and the coach that can decide this.

The best debut for Bellingham was scoring a beautiful goal. In addition, he played well in the Diamond tactics planned by Anceloti.  Although this is the beginning, and Bilbao is indeed not a team that can be equated with Barcelona or Athletico Madrid. So maybe if Bellingham is able to play well when facing strong opponents, maybe Modric and Kroos will be calmer if they retire. So hopefully he will continue to develop and perform well.

I thought after the goal maybe Cadiz would play defensive and try to win the match 1-0. But Cadiz is not playing defensively. Cadiz players are performing well in this match. Alaves is playing defensively. Cadiz is more likely to win today.


A little later, Atletico Madrid will play against Granada. Atlético Madrid are favorites but they are likely to drop points. The Granada team cannot be called weak. This team has the ability to win against Atletico Madrid. The match looks like it will be very enjoyable.

The only times I have seen Barcelona play roughly like this was only I Elclasico encounter With Real Madrid, yesterday match With Getafe wasn't worth the argument and the misunderstanding and I think the Ref wasn't too professional. Almost gave everyone in that match yesterday a share of their card, Getafe booked 8 yellow cards with 1 red card while Barcelona had 2 yellow with 1 red and extra one for Xavi and of course, he will have to complain if things are not done fairly by the judge, he had that right but was too emotional which personally, I understood his actions.

There is nothing lost yet, they still have 37 more matches to go, it's too early to even speak about failure now, they luckily even draw, they need to just tight their belt and play with good effort and I think Xavi will have time to cool down while off for the next 3 matches except if there is a need for the cards to be review, I will love to see that though because that referee was not professional, so many errors or should I say mistakes in decision making.

I think Xavi could not contain his emotions in that match and protested quite loudly against the referee's decision which made the referee give him a red card. Now things like this don't need to be exaggerated and he has to accept every decision made by the referee because something like this will have a bad impact on Barcelona because he can't accompany Barcelona in the next match.

Barcelona first match did reap the pros and cons of the referee's decision, but I think that the referee acted firmly enough for justice in this fight. A draw is the closing of this match and we hope that Barcelona can play more aggressively in the upcoming matches to get 3 points.

If I was a manger I will fear for signing Neymar because it is not easy managing a top top player like Neymar if things go wrong it will cause more problems than good. Neymar has decided to go the Saudi league, there was a time when I believed Neymar would win the Ballon d’or, I think he had all the class to match with Lionel Messi and Ronaldo but unfortunately that didn’t happen. He’s now making retirement moves.

Alvaro Morata plays really well this match. He's one of Atlético's most important weapons in the attack. Now that Memphis Depay is in the game, let's see how he plays out. Also, Çağlar Söyüncü is in the game, I'm also curious about his performance. They still have Correa and Felix in the bench, if Atletico needs to make a move they will be in the game.
