Valencia are suppose to be one of the biggest team in the la Liga but these days they're now part of those teams that have lost form completely, as of 5-6 seasons ago Valencia do fight to be in the top 4 or even fight for the title but now they don't have anything to offer in the Spanish league which is very poor for a team that many see as a team to fight clubs like Madrid or Barcelona for the title. I never thought Valencia would be at this very position, is as if they're competing for nothing serious but I still believe they can fight there way off the relegation zone.
If there is a way to push Valencia to the lowest division it would have been done base on their performance because we know these guys are not playing like a competitive team but from how poor they performed against Las Palmas I don't think they can be seen as the favorite in any game, the bookie sometimes are using past record to give teams like this the upper hands but they still lose. Valencia are not yet ready until we get to the second chapter of the season then we're going to see them doing their best to avoid being relegated.

Now that you mention it, it's 1/4th of a decade ago when Valencia played in the Champions League final against Bayern Munich and lost in the penalty shootout. Damn time is running But a lot has changed since then and I don't whether they can still be considered a potential top team. So many clubs are so much richer. I see them similar to Villareal, which actually is doing ok. But I would be surprised if they had a chance to compete with Barcelona and Real Madrid. It is since season 19/20 that they could't finish in the top 3 anymore. They didn't even make top 7 by the way and once this happens, money is lost every single season and then it is even harder to dig out of that hole.

It was disappointing to see Valencia fail to win games this season after finishing in ninth place the previous season, this squad did not appear to have spent much money on players during the transfer window, as they only earned 6 points in the 10 league games they played this season. Honestly, I didn't expect them to lose to Las Palmas after scoring the first goal in 14 minutes, but it's clear that they were unable to endure any opponent pressure and conceded three more goals to lose the match, while Las Palmas got their first win of the season.

It makes me feel sad seeing what Valencia has turned to even though I'm not one of their fans. How can we tell that this same Valencia used to beat Barcelona and Real madrid at home when they can not even beat Las Palmas at their own home? It's a total embarrassment for them to win just one game out of ten games played so far. Even if you can not win against top teams, you should have at least win against bottom ones.

In the last 5 seasons, Valencia has not played well, because Valencia has often only been able to finish in the top 15 of La Liga. I personally do not know for sure why Valencia's performance is like that. But what is certain is that Valencia rarely brings in talented players, so the team's performance is less competitive with other teams in La Liga. The funny thing is that since they fell from grace they haven't gone back up and still not been relegated to the 2nd division. They've just been stagnant. It's as if after they participated in champions league competition in 2019/20 season, it became difficult for them to get themselves back. Right now, no team takes them seriously and are regarded as the kind of club to get easy three points from.

It's kind of weird to begin putting efforts when your team gets to the half part of the season or the lower end because if you couldn't get good results in those early stages, what's the guarantee that you'd be able to achieve something towards the latter stages because other teams would be looking to brush up their errors and won't be willing to make any mistakes. Maybe this would be the season where we get to see Valencia being demoted to the second division from the looks of things.
