Barcelona will have a chance to extend their lead a the table, albeit temporarily, when they meet Mallorca tonight at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys. They have been unbeaten for 13 games now and may be looking to make this 14 but this game will truly test their strength as Mallorca aren't an easy team to just brush off, also with the fact that their key man Robert Lewandowski is out injured, I wonder how they will cope and who will be made to replace his spot.
 I really enjoy Barcelona's game play and despite the fact that the team is majorly made up of young boys, the blend and confidence with which they play is something to be admired.
Real Madrid could have ended their game to Bilbao in a draw had Federico Valverde hadn't come to the rescue and this shows that they are playing under immense pressure and a win tonight for Barcelona will surely spike the whole thing.
 

Barcelona wants to lock the title early then the best way win all the easy matches including this one, I said it easy because Barcelona playing at home with all the conveniences. Currently Barcelona leading by 4 points and 6 matches remaining if Barcelona wins again meaning need 4 more matches to secure the title, this step must be taken to focus on the Champions League with note  Barcelona reaches the final. Based on the match schedule Barcelona should have 5 easy matches ahead including today match.

Did you watch Barcelona last match against Celta Vigo? 1-3 doesn't make them give up and make incredible comeback 4-3 it's illustration of how ambitious they to finish the season early, while Real Madrid only focus on Copa del Rey.

Presently they are leading the table by 7 points over Real Madrid and if they maintain this pace, I don't see why they would not carry the league. For me, I want them to take the title so they can at least debunk Carlo Ancelloti's words that whenever they (Real Madrid) lose heavily to Barcelona, they still go on to win the title and it will be a big loss to Ancelloti if they're not able to clinch any title but that's the thing with life, you win some and lose some and do this season will be the time Barcelona wins too.

With this match and the next 3 match, if Barcelona can win this match, I believe they are the title winner of the Laliga because that will make it more difficult for Real Madrid to come close and it's even possible that Real Madrid might not be able to win some match's that Barcelona will win. But if Barcelona doesn't play very well before this next 3 matches end, then their chance of winning the Laliga trophy will be low and it wouldn't be funny to witness.

But now the thing that made me have doubts about them today is that they might be a miracle on the way we don’t know, as football is a game of luck, even though it deals with performance and experience, but still the luck might be on Mollarca, and the game ends in a draw, although, as you mentioned, the game has already come to an end, and it is already late for any other team to surpass them in the league anymore. Barcelona scored no additional goals in this match, but 40 shots in 1 match seems to be a record for Barcelona. Yamal, Ansu Fati, Araujo, Ferran and Raphinha failed to score throughout the match, meaning only Dani Olmo managed to get his name on the scoreboard. Fortunately for Barcelona, Dani Olmo's lone goal saved the night for them as they clinch pass Mallorca by a 1:0 win. Even though it was a narrow win but it's better than losing or playing a draw because Mallorca defense played like they were on a mission to hinder Barcelona from going seven points clear at the top of the table but at last Barcelona managed to win despite how solid the defense of Mallorca was. Though i actually don't see any tougher games for Barcelona in the La Liga but still they need to give all their best till the last day. The Champions League title and the Liga title is still much open for Barcelona even a possible treble since they have a final match against Real Madrid in the Copa Del Ray.

It was interesting to take 40 shots and win the match with only one goal. But the important thing was to get the 3 points. It doesn't matter how many goals you score, they still give you 3 points. Dani Olmo opened the scoring early in the second half and there were no more goals.

You know how sometimes in a game that goes on for a long time with a draw or a one-goal deficit, one side keeps attacking but fails to score the second goal, then concedes a goal in the last moments and loses points, today Barca had no such worries despite the 1-0 score. At the moment, Madrid just have to do their best to win their remaining 1 match and hope Barcelona lose their focus in the remaining matches because they still have 3 competitions which are La Liga, Champions League Semi Final and Copa del Rey final. If in the end Flick's focus is divided and loses momentum then for La Liga at least Madrid can still compete in the rest of this match.

But expecting Barcelona to lose their focus in conditions like this is certainly a very difficult situation especially until now we can see that they still can't be bothered even though in several matches including the drama this week against Celta Vigo they can still get 3 points.

El Clasico in the Copa del Rey final is quite interesting now, it's just that with Madrid's statistics when facing Barcelona this season and with Madrid's current performance, I honestly expect Madrid's magic in this final.

Barcelona were too poor in finishing in the first half and this was clearly very unfortunate. There were many missed scoring chances that could have given them a more comfortable lead, but I am sure Hansi Flick will ask his players to be more calm in the second half. Some players like Ferran and Ansu Fati seemed to rush when they had goal chances, but they all failed.

Mallorca is one side in the Spanish La liga that's very difficult to score goals and with the absence of Robert Lewandowsky in this match for Barcelona I had this feeling Barca will go a bit blunt in the attack in having the ball in the back of Mallorca's net quicker. Hopefully, Hansi Flick will do something with his boys when they get back to the second half to have good control of the ball in their opponent third-half because the victory in this game would really count in Barcelona's occupation in their top-flight standing on the table.

A narrow win for Barcelona still keeping the gap between them and Real Madrid. I like how they are composed with the winning mentality. The way I am seeing it, if they successfully win Inter in the UCL they will surely win any opponent in the opposite side in the finals. While I am filled with Joy as a result of the win by Barcelona, I was quite unfortunate today as I lost my bet. All the games played except for Mallorca. I placed Mallorca to score at least a goal in this game. However, they tried their best to concede only one goal in the game.

The goal took a little bit long given how aggressively they played. There was no holding back and no saving energy for the next games at all. It was nonstop attack. You could think that Mallorca had two red cards after five minutes, this is what the statistics would look like I suppose.

Well, it was anything but "easy".
Barcelona pressed, possessed and dominated the game but they couldn't win the game easily. Marlloca were so good at their system and the fact that Barcelona rested about 7 of their first 11 didn't help.
Leo Roman (Marllorca's goalkeeper) was ready to get to anything. For a second choice goal keeper that is playing his second game of the season, that's very surprising. He made 12 saves today, half of those were from inside the box. Incredible. He certainly made things difficult for Barcelona.

It is very clear that they want both the Champions League and the Spanish League championship. The way they play already shows us this.

I don't know about the Champions League, but they will win the league. I'm very sure of that. Even if Madrid wins tomorrow and reduces the point difference back to 4, Barcelona won't lose the league. I don't think they're going to lose any match again this season till hey win the league.

The important thing in this match is the three points and Barcelona get the three points with one goal scored in the match, they are now seven points clear ahead of Real Madrid before Real Madrid will play their next match against Getafe tomorrow.

For Ansu Fati, I think lack of proper game time is affecting his performance because his confidence has dropped maybe it is because of the competition in his position; I think it is time for him to leave Barcelona for another team because it seems like he is not more needed since he is always not given playing time in important matches and injury has affected his overall performance.

According to the actual ranking then the title will be taken by one of the top 3 teams because Athletic Bilbao could not collect more than 18 points and Barcelona victory today kicked them from the race, officially.
For Atletico Madrid, it is only 4 points lost or collected by Barcelona to say goodbye for the title, obvious too in my opinion.
Real Madrid is the last one and he has to not waste 11 points out of 18 or see Barcelona collect this number or it is oher. Sincerely, it is hard to not see this number being overturned by Real Madrid.

The Mallorca goalkeeper today who happens to be the second-choice goalkeeper deserves to be a first-choice goalkeeper for a team, maybe Chelsea and Manchester United can think of him.
