You can't expect a player to perform well straight away in his first season and win everything with the team. You have to give him time to adapt and create a bond with his teammates, who are all very strong, and so it's also a problem for him to find space within the team. I understand he's strong, but it takes time.

To be fair, Mbappe played amazingly, in all competitions he scored nearly 40 goals if I am not wrong, I do not have the exact number but he was said to have the most goals scored in a debut season. This is why I believe the issue wasn't really him. The issue is that whenever Mbappe plays for a team, the focus shifts to him, and that causes others to not play that much better.

I have always said the exact same thing for Ronaldo as well, the team plays so he can score and they win that way, and not a team football like how Pep makes the players play, even Ancelotti didn't focus just on Vini for example. This is why I believe we should see them change the way they play, and Xabi is trying that, they are trying to make the whole team play together, and not focus on a single player.

Seriously, I really love the work Xabi Alonso is currently doing at Real Madrid, at least we can see that the team is playing good, some persons didn't expect this early turnout of Real Madrid players because they thought it was going to take some time for the team to start been productive with their new coach.

From the preseason games, it was very obvious that Real Madrid are going to be a better team this season under their new manager. Xabi Alonso have been doing a great job for the team and I must commend his tireless effort to make them a worthy team of contending for the La Liga and Champions League trophy this season. His past works speaks well for him and he must be able to deliver an excellent result here as he did at Bayern Leverkusen in his first year managing the club. We’re off to a very competitive season between Barcelona and Real Madrid, so many interesting matches awaits both teams as they fight for the league title and also when they play in the Champions League games.

I initially thought the same thing and underestimated the possibility that Xabi Alonso wouldn't improve Real Madrid's performance.

Well, if you ask me, i would say it’s their turn for rotation but yeah it’s an injury which would keep them out as intended anyways.. There’re replacements aswell plus Yamal is back on the right wing again   so not much of a big deal.. The only replacement that need to be more considered is  Pedri presence but i do think De jong, Benal and Casado should always fill up the spot..

Honestly, this injury is a big blow for the Barcelona team because already a few of their key players have been rule out from the team due to injuries, and now more players have joined the group of injured, and from all the above, Gohan Garcia injury is really concerning because he was the one who kept the net safe after Martinez departure. So I believe that the injury can cause a little bit of sluggishness in the team progress....

I hope Hansi Flick will try to make something more like replacing the injury with new formation.... Real sosided is not too strong, Barca will definitely get them smashed.

With his capability as proven since his time as a player to a head coach, I believe that if he is given enough opportunity, support and time, he will gain great success with Real Madrid.
