What's happening in the second half, Real Madrid is lagging behind with a porous defense. They have conceded two goals within 25 minutes. Julian Alvarez has scored two goals in the second half. First was from a penalty kick and the second was from a beautiful free kick to make the scoreline 4-2. I wonder how Real Madrid think of equalizing these two goals. Atletico Madrid needs to win this match.

The Madrid derby is one of a kind. I always knew at Atletico home they wont let things slide. Real Madrid started the game with so much energy, I almost though they had this point coming home. Anyway, it turns out to be very surprising to see the game end in a 5:2 win over Real Madrid.

As you can see the game has ended as Real Madrid was unable to score more any goals to equalize the game rather they conceded another goal. They lost moral after that 4th goal. I'm pretty sure Barcelona will win Real Madrid this season also.

Mbappe from Real Madrid was impressive as always but there looks no player in Real Madrid that could match upto his energy. Wow, I just checked the results and I'm a bit shocked. I thought the worst thing that could happen to Real was a draw, I did not expect they could concede 5 goals.
I guess that's the magic of the Madrid Derby. Anything is possible.
A well deserved and much needed 3 points for Atletico. Although Real dominated in possession, Atletico was much better and more effectife in the attack.

Real Madrid's winning streak finally came to an end today against one of their Biggest Rivals. They where no match for Diego Simeone sides. I have always known Atletico madrid as the physical type of team that wants to dominate every game, especially big ones, for the entire 90mins. Playing against a physical side can be very frustrating for more tactical teams like Real Madrid and Barce.

Congrats to them anyways, and let's see how well Barce can take advantage over their game in hand.

What a derby it was... It was totally the opposite of my expectations. Real Madrid were overwhelmed by Atletico Madrid attacks. This was quite a bit surprising for me because Atletico Madrid weren't that good in offense previously.

But they scored 5 goals in one of the most difficult fixtures.    What a lucky man you are Simeone! But the season is still long. One game doesn't change everything.

Real Madrid is indeed much stronger this season, but Atletico Madrid, playing at home, cannot be underestimated. This is a Madrid derby, which always presents a high-tension match, making anything possible.

Betting on a Real Madrid win is certainly a good option, but I'm still considering other factors. Because the match is at Atletico Madrid's home ground, I'm a little hesitant to bet on a Real Madrid win, so I think betting on the over or BTTS has a higher chance of winning.

Unbelievable result from this very match, I knew this game was never going to be easy for both teams but in my wildest dreams I never anticipated such a score line. I wasn't surprised that Atletico Madrid won because I knew they would turn up in such a high profile match. It's all about bragging rights and since they are at home, they will give in everything to win it. It's only the score line that I'm surprised about.

My prediction at the beginning was that the score would be close, but the final result was different it seems that Madrid's defense was weak because so many players got through and ended up scoring goals.

Honestly, I thought I would see Real madrid win. But Real Madrid could not take any advantage at Atletico Madrid's home. The first half was very competitive. The match was tied at 2- 2. But , Madrid's players could not create many attacking opportunities in this match. Especially in the second half , Madrid  could not make a single shot on target. On the other hand , they conceded three goals in the second half. This is the first time we have seen such a bad performance from Madrid this season. I still can't believe the result of the match. I have never seen Atletico Madrid perform so well in a match this season. Atletico Madrid beat the giants of La liga like Real Madrid 5-2.

It is impossible to believe such a result. Because we  have seen that Real madrid was in their best form. They have won every previous match. On the other hand, Atletico madrid's performance was very irregular and  weak. We have seen Atletico madrid win only 2  matches out of the last 6 matches.

Madrid conceded 5 goals  today. This is the biggest unbelievable thing. Madrid had conceded only 3 goals in the last 6 matches. And today's match they conceded 5 goals. In the previous matches, we thought that Madrid had a strong defense because of the performance of their defenders. But no one could have  imagined that Real madrid's defense would perform so badly against Atletico madrid.

I knew there was a chance for Atleti to win since they were at home, but I always maintained that Madrid would win the game because they were in good form and Atleti was the opposite. Real Madrid made it too easy for Atleti. From the beginning of the game, Atleti showed dominance, even though the individual quality of Madrid always showed. This is the funny thing about derbies and rivalry. Current form doesn't always matter; the team with more spirit and better tactics is all that matters.
Even if I had predicted a win for Atleti, I would never have thought about this score line.

But the season is still long. One game doesn't change everything.

I won't be surprised to see them lose their next league match. They're so inconsistent. They played Madrid very well, but their inconsistency won't let them win trophies. They can't maintain this level for the whole season.

With his capability as proven since his time as a player to a head coach, I believe that if he is given enough opportunity, support and time, he will gain great success with Real Madrid.

I even do not believe this is a bad day. You would have seen the chain of the weak-link Carreras at LB pressed to death (six turnovers, seven duels lost), Huijsen rattled, Tchouamenen coughing it up in the heat. To be quite honest, the ideal beginning of Xabi made us a bit blind. Winning 6 against low/mid blocks does not equip you with the press brought about by Simeone on full throttle. I didn't know that Real Madrid lost their match. In fact I started watching the match from beginning but later on I lost interest due to the pop performance of the top teams in the English Premier League. I left them and started doing my work just to come to the forum and see people preaching how Alonso will adapt in Real Madrid.

I already knew and said it that Alonzo cannot perform in Real Madrid more than he did in Leverkusen and I also know that what an elderly Ancelotti could not do with Real Madrid last season, Alonso cannot do it with the same squad.
The greatest mistake of Real Madrid was signing Mbappe, he wasn't needed at that time, not in the peak of Vini.
