That misconception has been dispelled in today's match. There is still a lot of reason to worry about Real Madrid's attack, because apart from Kylian Mbappe, no one is performing significantly there. Today's match statistics indicate Real Madrid's weak attack line. Barcelona fans will be excited about the lost from Real Madrid but I still think Real Madrid will top them again because Barcelona would likely fumble up more points especially with them having weaker defences at thd moment.  Also, they haven't played against any top team, which maybe unlikely to get a comeback from looking at their recent games but like you said overall it's too early to judge.

However, if Barcelona wins Real Sociedad it will just be a point apart from Real Madrid which is not a big gap so i believe that the El clasico will determine which of them stays at the top of the table. It is impossible to believe such a result. Because we  have seen that Real madrid was in their best form. They have won every previous match. On the other hand, Atletico madrid's performance was very irregular and  weak. We have seen Atletico madrid win only 2  matches out of the last 6 matches.

I don’t even know I am to laugh or feel bad after losing my bet. Imagine this, I  predicted Real Madrid to win because they were clearly the favorites, but deep down I didn’t even want them to win.
