I don't think they took this match lightly. After their 5-2 win against Real Madrid, they were confident of winning but no team in the tournament is less strong. They had practiced against the opposition before going into the game against Real Madrid and were aware of their weaknesses. It could be that they didn't feel the need to practice much before the game against Celta Vigo. In fact, if those teams can correct their mistakes after losing the game, they can expect good results in the next games. Barcelona is not that far off from Madrid, I am sure this bad loss was not good, and combined with comeback loss to PSG, they must be feeling terrible, but that doesn't mean that we are going to end up with a bad run right now but thankfully it's a national team break and they can consider it all over again and just get back.

They will train with the players who will not go to national teams, and will create an atmosphere where they are not really that bad and could do fine. If they can do that, and bring back the national team ones back to that world then I am sure they will do fine. When you look at the match possession, it's obvious Atletico were too aggressive and doesn't know when to play an offensive match. In the first half despite the game not going on well playing 10 men against 11, they had good possessions than Celta, Lenglet red card could have been avoided but no way referee would let the second foul slide and thats how he was let out in the match, since it's 3 men at the back line nothing they could do more than what they played.

If would have been more better if the coach allow one midfield to control the back line with the defenders in the second half but I guess they expected Celta to be unable to score since they aren't that in good form but the teams change the narrative about the game, they scored a goal immediately substitutions were made, that was when Simeone thought of making substitutions but it was already late, there wasn't any significant changes during Atletico change of players.

Atletico Madrid didn’t see this coming, that is why the game ended up that way. If you look closely, you will see that Atletico Madrid had already lost its form entirely in the second half. They just tried their best not to lose the game. If not, Celta really used the opportunity of that red card, and that is why the game ended up changing direction entirely.

I see it as a lesson to Atletico Madrid not to underestimate the performance of other teams, because this same thing happened to them when they played against Mallorca. Their is no assurance that Barcelona will improve on their form after the international break, so I wouldn't be sticking my money on the line between them and girona because I have come to understand that anytime Lamine yamal and raphinha is not available or not at their best, they always struggled to outscore their opponent since they are very porous at the back.
Additionally, the backline is just too weak, and if Barcelona really want to stay competitive, they have to fix their defense because your defense is what wins game for you when you are not at your best.

It's Atletico's habit. They would be playing like a best team in the world against Madrid, but being toothless against a mediocre club. Very disappointed with how they unable to keep their consistency. Simone should do something in order to save his club in away games. They will never win La Liga again by having draw or lost in away games.
Something has to change in the squad. The good thing is that they get International break to gives them time to solve it. If they won't change, i won't recognize them as big clubs in La Liga again.

Yes and in someways is strange because the remaining players are super players for example you still have, Lewandowsky, Rashford, Pedri, Olmo etc, so you still have a list of super players to be around with, but somehow they can produce the high level football flick needs in his teams.

So yes they are quite dependant on a few players. I also see the defense being not so good, i dont like what they have.
