It is undeniable that this match was quite difficult for Madrid because Alaves also played quite well, it's just that 2 goals from Mbappe and Rodrygo managed to make them get back 3 points and create new momentum.

The trio of Vini, Mbappe and Rodrygo are back and I think we need to give appreciation to these 3 players. Rodrygo was back in the line up and he proved that he can score goals and this was Rodrygo's second goal in 2 consecutive games this season.
Mbappe also added another goal after 1 goal this match making him still comfortable with the top scorer and Vini his selfish nature is slowly disappearing even in this match he volunteered to provide an assist whereas if it happened to Vini before he would immediately look at the goal without paying attention to others.
With 3 points Madrid are still trying to keep Barcelona on a comfortable run.

This is another game that I was actually thinking that Real Madrid will drop more points immediately I was the Alaves equalizer but yet again this was another brilliant performance most importantly by Rodrigo in this match. He had failed to score this season in entirety until last week where he scored and then added one again this week to crown it the winner. Aside the three points I think Real Madrid fans need to be in celebration due to the fact that game by game Rodrigo is getting back to form. For me I think if he actually continues on this form it will seriously help the team out. Currently the team is heavily dependent on goals from Mbappe with him scoring nearly or over half of their goals this season, I think having Rodrigo back in this form gives them extra or enough firing power again.

I believe this match will end this way, Madrid deserve to win this match because they have really played very well when they were drawing 1:1 I was so scared for Real Madrid but thank God for the goal scored by Rodrygo, he is a very good player I really don't know why they where not always using him in matches last match he scored a very wonderful goal today again he has scored the victory goal,  he should be given the man of the match, Xavi mind will be at rest this night, I really don't like the pressure the management is putting on Xavi they should give him time.

They also called offside on Alaves’ goal. Luckily, there is VAR technology.Xabi has proven that he is a good tactician and deserves more respect. The media criticize him unnecessarily, and there is a lot of pressure on him, but he knows how to handle it

Even if I want to congratulate Real Madrid for winning the game i would also say that they didn't actually do well in the game because this was a narrow escape, if not for the second goal by Rodrigo by now it would have ended 1'1 draw and it would have affected Real Madrid so bad because of the point difference but now, they have maintained the 4 points from Barcelona. If Alaves was a bit stronger, they would win Real Madrid in this game because Real Madrid was possessing Initially while Alaves was looking for opportunity to score and at some point they started possessing Real Madrid.

This week has been a struggling week for the top teams to win their games, in the EPL, Serie A, Ligue 1 even in the Spanish league it was hot for the big sides who are trying to be at the top of the table. Barcelona almost had a rough game week with the pressure of getting the job done immediately but they managed to get a 2nil win and tonight the pressure came hot for Madrid that they almost played a draw but they luckily won by 2 goals to 1.
Alaves wasn't that clinical in that game, they played like they are confused but for Madrid they were calm but couldn't make their opponent struggle with the ball, like make them feel uncomfortable in that game but they allowed Alaves to enjoy themselves, they are always relaxed when they have the first goal talking about Madrid and it has been like that for sometime now. I have noticed how poor they play after them getting the first goal, is as if they are in control when they haven't done much damage to their opponent. This should be what Alonso need to talk about with the players if not they'll keep conceding unnecessary goals and even draw or lose their game and it might cost them a chance of closing the point gap with Barcelona.

Yeah, I don't think that real Madrid can afford to lose any game at this critical time, because if they do, they are fully putting their selves behind Barcelona, and with the way Barcelona are playing, we can tell that, they also are not ready to drop any points, because they are seeking to win this season title too, so as Real Madrid. When a game is postponed like this most times the date of the match would be indefinite, no date has been fixed yet so if you have this game on your bet slip it is going to be void...the game was postponed due to a heavy rainfall, this disrupted the game..for now no specific date has been fixed for the game but it should be within the week or perhaps the weekend at most..let's see how it goes

Agree. It was quite tough match for Real Madrid. I don't really know why Real Madrid got difficulty to play against Alaves. Alaves isn't a strong team, they also have bad stats recently. They only won 1 match in the last 5 matches. Maybe Alaves became a bit strong because they were playing at home. Meanwhile Real Madrid players still didn't play in their best form. TBH, I expected it will be an easy match for Real Madrid.

Yep, trio Mbappe-Vini-Rodrygo seems playing quite effective. Xabi needs to keep this trio in the attacking of Real Madrid. Rodrygo has contributed well since he returns to put on the main lineup. There is no reason that Rodrygo will sit on the bench anymore. If Rodrygo didn't play in the last 2 matches, Real Madrid may still not win any match until now. Regarding Mabppe's performance, he always shows his best during this season. If Mbappe gets good supports from the wingers and midfielders, he must score more goals. I'm sure he will have no competitor for the top scorer title. Well, I have no idea about Vini. If he can't stop his ego, he is better to leave Real Madrid.

Lately we have been seeing real Madrid underperforming and this is something that we are not expecting from the team, right from the time of the early hours of the season. On another day, they could have dropped points. Real Madrid are in a pretty low confidence mode at the moment after a string of power performances. The Alaves match is the kind where they could have easily won by over 2 or 3 goals but struggling against such a team means that the situation is not yet good

The referee officiated the match well, both Real Madrid and Alaves were playing aggressively, and the referee still coordinated the game without issuing unnecessary cards. But his only mistake in this game was ignoring the Vinicius foul which I believe was an obvious and clear penalty. I think he might have ignored it to give Alaves a home advantage.

Easier said than done and am talking about Villarreal here, they have two games outstanding than everyone in the table and also in good shape too but I doubt they would be able to win all of them then as for Real Madrid, there performance for me is still very poor because with the rate of pressure on them to catch up with Barcelona I would have thought that they won't even make this look like slaves had a chance but yet they struggled to even double their lead given the home an opportunity to draw before going in front again by rodrygo. God I miss the old Madrid where this game would be loaded with lots of goals.

Real Madrid had no choice but to win this match to stay in the tournament. If they had dropped points, the gap with Barcelona would have widened. Luck was on Real Madrid's side, so they won despite not playing well. I had my doubts about the victory against Alaves. Mbappé made several attacks from the start of the match but was unsuccessful. Mbappé managed to score a goal in the 24th minute of the first half, but Alaves equalized in the second half. Rodrygo increased the gap by scoring his first goal of the season. So, currently, Real Madrid is catching up with Barcelona, if they lose one match, then their dream of winning the La Liga title will be lost.
