I saw the whole yesterday game between Alaves and Real Madrid, and what can i say Real didnt play any good at all, they won so they can work much more calm in this week but the performance still not good for a team this big, i dont know how Xabi can fix this.

The only good thing is Rodrygo scoring again.

Yes, Real Madrid should have easily defeated Alaves because Real Madrid has many star players, while Alaves does not have many star players. I was also a bit disappointed with Real Madrid because they didn't score many goals in that match.

The difference between the teams of Alaves and Real Madrid is very big, which is why Real Madrid had a high chance of winning. Especially when Kylian Mbappe was able to score a goal in the 24th minute, that chance was even higher. After that, Real Madrid's dominance in the match began to decrease. Mbappe also missed a great opportunity. Where there was a possibility of scoring one more goal.



At one point, when Carlos Vicente was able to equalize for Alaves in the 68th minute, there was a lot of tension between the fans of the two teams. However, that tension did not last long, Rodrigo ended it in the 76th minute. Real Madrid only has to close up the gap or at least not let it widen the more. 4 points behind Barcelona after their 17th game. Soon the league will be half gone, maybe fans will start believing that there's no longer time. Now I think that this real Madrid's second place is also temporary because Villarreal with 35 points still have 2 outstanding games which could mean they're overtaking real Madrid soon. But let's stick our focus to Mbappe's Balon d'Or dream and hope real Madrid lifts the title to add to his achievements.

The performance is not encouraging at all,if they struggle in games like this, I wonder how they will play with big games, considering the way they dropped to second place in the league after been the first position for a while and till now, no stable sign for fighting for the first position again, even the second place can be a thing of the past if they don't work on this lapses and start playing Like they want to win the league title, because if the team continues like this they won't have anything at the end of this season,  they have many star players, there problem is not players,they need good management and a winning mentality without that the team's tactics will just be ineffective which will cost the team greatly, there are games Real Madrid do not need to struggle to win

Rodrygo actually did save Xabi Alonso job at Real Madrid. Funny enough, this is the exact player Xabi Alonso isn't satisfy with his performance but actually, Rodrygo is a great player that always prove himself despite lack of adequate playing time. Did you watch real Madrid against Manchester City match in the UEFA champions,how Rodrygo hugged Xabi Alonso when he scored against Manchester City?. I was touch when I saw a great player who was trying to prove a difference to his Coach why he shouldn't be benched in important matches.Xabi Alonso can see that Mbappe and Rodrygo are a perfect match.

I disagree that Alonso was unhappy with Rodrygo. Rather, the start of the season was not going well for Rodrygo, and it was clear that he was not in his best form. However, Alonso kept giving him opportunities, both starting him in matches and bringing him on as a substitute. The fact that Rodrygo has started scoring now only shows that he is regaining his form. Yes, Real managed to win yesterday against Alaves, but I decided not to place a bet on that match, even though I consistently bet on their previous games when they ended in draws.

Rodrygo is a good player, the only problem he was facing is that he was seen as someone that was not relevant in the team and that really affected his mentality of play he was not inform anymore, I'm happy that this new coach is not seeing him as an important player and he is making the coach proud by scoring goals I believe if this coach remain in Real Madrid he will continue giving him time to play and he will keep on improving in his form.
Real Madrid needs to improve more in their performance because yesterday they managed to win that match, if not for the late minute goal scored by Rodrygo Real Madrid would have lost the match, I really don't know why Real Madrid is not playing to the standard I know them for anymore I cannot explain the course of their poor performance, however I believe the coach has a big part to play in making them to come back to form as before.

Exactly mate, for those that didn’t really watch the game won’t really get what you are saying, but Real Madrid performance have declined so much this season that I barely even recognize them each time they play. Since Xabi Alonso took charge there is one thing I have always said about him, I don’t really see the blue print in what he his actually building. I remember when Hansi Flick took charge at Barcelona we saw what he was trying to do, he introduced them to the high line football they are playing today and it actually working for them.

When you want to be a big coach you have to have a philosophy, you have to have a structure but in this Real Madrid team I’m not seeing any. If I’m to be honest I don’t think Real Madrid can actually get their hands on the league this season again. There is a lot of work to do at Real Madrid and I don’t think Alonso is the actual man to fix it.

In this match, Real Madrid managed to defeat Alaves by a very narrow margin, namely 1-2, and both goals scored by Real Madrid were scored by Mbappe and also by Rodrygo in this match. In this match, Real Madrid also played quite well, but unfortunately, they still struggled to be much more productive in scoring goals. Real Madrid won, but I feel that game-wise I'm still not satisfied with their performance. Maybe it's the impact of their poor play in the last few games, or maybe they haven't found their best form yet. But this win is very important to restore their morale.

On the other hand I wouldn't be so quick to say they're better now, I'd like to see whether or not they'll be better in the next game, especially when they face a much stronger opponent than Alaves.

That's the irony of Madrid. Xabi clearly benched the wrong person. He benched Rodrygo the whole time, but Rodrygo is the one who saving his job. Rodrygo is good, but the problem is his consistency. As long as he can help Rodrygo to sort it out, i think he will score a many goals as he can like what he used to be.

The back to back goals showed how Rodrygo still one of top players, though he always wear his seatbelt since the start of the season. I also tell you if Rodrygo's working rate in the defense is gradually improved, but none aware about that.

Benching Rodrygo the whole time was definitely a mistake. They don't understand why this mistake was made. First they had to give him away, now they even want to keep him?

Rodrygo is not kept on the bench all the time. Rodrygo has been on the field in 15 out of 17 La Liga matches. But he has been kept in the starting XI in very few matches. Rodrygo is not given any opportunities which is wrong. Alonso has given some opportunities, and if Rodrygo could have taken advantage of these opportunities, Alonso would have given him more opportunities. But Rodrygo has not been able to play well in the last matches. Rodrygo has scored goals in the last two matches, we all praise his performance. But personally I don't think he can continue this streak. Maybe we will see ROdrygo's poor performance in the next match.

Rodrygo has only played well in two matches. And we are all praising his performance. I think we are praising him too much. If Rodrygo can continue his good performance in a few more matches, then he really deserves to be in madrid's starting XI. We are forgetting that Alonso gave Rodrygo a chance in several matches. But  he failed to play well in the last matches. So we should not be so quick to conclude that Rodrygo is an important player in Madrid's squad. I consider mbappe to be the most important player in madrid's squad. Because we have  seen the difficulties that Madrid's attack faces when Mbappe is not in the squad.

Rodrygo isn't just good for himself, he is good for the team as well. Because when you have only Mbappe and Vini, teams could collapse their defense on these two and let the others try to attack and score, which makes things harder for everyone else. They literally had a game where Mbappe and Jude played striker, and those two both are not strikers naturally, while Mbappe scores a lot, look at where he is most of the time, he always leans a bit to left and Vini is there and makes it hard.

When you have Rodrgyo, that makes defense also take a look at him, and that way they can either defend Rodrygo, leaving others one on one with Mbappe or Vini, or they can not care about Rodrygo and he will score to punish that.

You are right. Alonso was not unhappy. Alonso also does not dislike Rodrygo. Rodrygo's performance has been really poor since the beginning of the season. Rodrygo was given enough opportunities in several matches but he failed to play well. Naturally he lost his place. Now we see Rodrygo playing quite well. He scored in two consecutive matches and brought Madrid victory. Alonso will probably keep Rodrygo in the starting XI for the upcoming matches. If a player is not in good form, it cannot be called a bad decision to keep him on the bench.

What a tremendous performance! It's not the first time he's saved them from a tight spot. It's no wonder he's proud to play for the best club in the world, and we understand why. Besides being a great goalkeeper, he's an admirable person.
It's incredibly difficult to win a match, especially when you go out there just to play for nothing to happen and their team can't even score a goal against a rainbow, not even after the won themselves a penalty.

The sum of all their efforts, whether they play in every match or not, is what will give them some truly wonderful moments and things this season. If they all contribute, they are the toughest and most competitive opponent any team could face. I don't know who brought Radu in, but I think he's the best signing of the last decade. So I don't think Real Madrid's problem is about players being used out of position. They are professional footballers, and they are expected to perform well in any position they are asked to play. Right now, the real issue for me is simply that the team is out of form.

You can judge the two clubs with their performance from the beginning of the game till the end of the game.to me, Real Madrid performance was very low through out the game despite they used their opportunity well to secured 2 goals to embraced 3 points from their opponent.I guess Real Madrid coach have home work to do this week to train his players to gain more tactics to play their next games, because their displaying in yesterday game is not encouraging and they have to use their next game to clear people doubt toward lifting this laLiga league trophy.

If truly Xabi want to stay long with his club, he will definitely do something that will make the players to begin to experience new impact that will change their performance positively.

In fact Xabi Alonso didn't consider Rodrigo as his plan, but now he is showing to to him that he can still play brilliantly and proving his speculation wrong. Now after this match I hope Xabi Alonso will understand the Rodrigo competency level and for upcoming matches he will try to give him more minutes. I wasn't really expecting much from Madrid but they would have been able to score more goals, just a goal difference is not really good enough. they are indeed in a better form currently but I wouldn't really they are stable currently. it is possible for them to end up lsoing one of their upcoming matches. It's actually a good thing that Rodrygo is scoring again and that's a plus for the team especially the coach because it wasn't good a the team to solely depend on Mbappe for goals. If he continues scoring there's no way the coach will be keeping him on bench because he needs all the help he can get from his players to safe his job. It's already a tough season already for the coach but he can safe it by building on this Alaves win. If they win their next match by a convincing margin nobody will be talking about sacking him. Absolutely agreed! Real Madrid had serious problems against Alaves. Even ball possession was in favour of Alaves in this game.    Real Madrid could have really lost points.

While it was 1-1, Alaves wasted a huge opportunity to get ahead for example. If they did I don't think Xabi Alonso would find a way out easily.

Real Madrid still have areas to improve, especially defensively, but i wouldn't write them off yet. Scoring chances may not always convert into goals and tactical issues cannot be fixed overnight. Vini Jr. continues to show quality and that goal by Rodrigo shows the team's attacking potential is still there. Being 4 points behind Barcelona is not a huge gap and there is still plenty of matches left in the season. Villarreal may have games in hand but results on the pitch will ultimately decide the table. Focusing on individual achievements like Mbappe Balon D'or is fine but Madrid's title ambitions are still alive if they tighten up defensively and keep their consistency in attack.

Last season was so rough and bad for Real Madrid and they could not win anything but this season I think they are somehow better than last season but it is still not enough to win anything this season. What they played against Alaves was not encouraging in the sense that they played Alaves as if they are mate even when they are by far and more better than Alaves. It is obvious they had injury players but that is not enough reason to be under performing because if they continue this way it will be very difficult for them to win a major trophy this season.
