Atletico Madrid play wasn't overly aggressive, but it was deadly. I was pleased that their attack was so effective in this match. On the other hand, I also admired Atletico Baleares, a La Liga 2 team, who were able to put up quite a fight.

I've seen Pitrach before in the U20 cup when he was in Spain's shirt and his performance in midfield is still quite good despite his young age and at the moment I don't think it's a problem to give young blood a chance other than to rotate players so that they don't get too tired because there is still one game left in La Liga this could also be a good opportunity for youngsters to prove themselves.

Yes, we can criticize Real Madrid on this point because they have a good youth academy like Barcelona, ​​but they can't bring the same kind of players into the first team from their youth system that Barcelona does. Madrid don't need a major overhaul. They've majority of the best players in the world. What Madrid needs is a good defender to seal up the defense so that, their opponents will find it difficult from breaking through easily. The only player that has problem with the club is Vini. He should be sold if he doesn't accept his regular pay rate.

Vini seem to have problem mostly because he seem more ambitious for self purposes, wants to make the record of achievement such that it does not really bother sometimes if it is at the detriment of his team, because his reactions sometimes does not seem like that was even put into consideration, if Xabi can scale up his tactics and positioning with these players, it will sometimes help a lot to keeping the team in better shape and not making them look like some team in some serious crises.

It’s not about being young. It’s about what they have to offer… Arda has already been given enough chances. They are literally drowning and you want them to give chances to someone who hasn’t really been playing for the club. Think about it… that’s pure gambling with the score sheet.
I get that they need chances, but the club can’t do that at any moment unless they are short of starters… They need to win at all cost with the points they have so far.

As of what you have said, winning is all what they needed right now, and it will not matter of anything, as they only need the 3 points to keep their selves in the race of the title as well, keeping chase with FC Barcelona.

Only if I had followed my instincts today at least I would have been hoping for a win today, I wanted to play all the underdogs to score at least one goal in today's Copa del Rey games and from what I'm seeing, all the underdogs that have played today have all scored at least one goal. As Villarreal, it seems it's only La Liga that they are in form, the rest of the competition that they are in, they have been a disaster, look at the Champions League, just 1 point earned after 6 matches, today again they are losing to a second division team.

Generally in such side competitions, teams from the first league win simply their matches regardless of their opponents. Exceptions might be seen with teams close or in the relegation zone and those in the first place of the second division. For Villarreal, their opponent was the first in the Segunda Division with a decent amount of goals scored, yet they were facing big Villarreal, one of the top teams in La Liga! Villarreal underestimated their opponent.
The other disappointment was Celta Vigo defeat against a team in the other half of the table of the lower league. They even failed to score a single penalty!

That's the problem with Madrid these days and someone will say they're good to go, where exactly? All you said I agree with you, imagine if those guys had gotten the 3rd goal or if they are the ones who was leading with the 3 goals how would Madrid react to it? The response won't have changed anything because the host was good in the back line, I'll give it to them and is a shame that Madrid don't always learn from their previous game how they play and make mistakes, they just suit up and go into the next game with same drive and approach. If not for the fact that the host side CF Talavera is another smaller side I don't think Madrid would have underrated them.

At least Xabi Alonso is giving Arda Güler enough playing time. He will get even more playing time as time goes on. I like the collaboration between Mbappe and Arda Güler. Mbappe has received many assists from Arda Güler. Arda Güler is doing everything to help him score goals. Since he is young and inexperienced, I think it's the right thing to do to play him like this right now.

I wasn’t exactly convinced on the penalty that was awarded to Real Madrid in the first half. There was contact with the arm for sure but, it was a bal that came off the head of the same defender and was headed in the same direction and slightly touched the arm without changing the direction of the ball.
It was left for the referee to make his call though but, that didn’t sit well with me.

Anyway, Real Madrid got their first and that opened the game up to more goals. Didn’t take long for them to get their second with the own goal and that was the most I had to watch.
