A win is a win no matter what happens on the pitch at the end of the day, Madrid's performance in this match wasn't too bad although there might be a lot of people comparing because of the difference in the squad and the result where Madrid won by a narrow score but I don't think it matters for that.

The majority of the players who played were rotational players and some were from Castilla who are young players and I think even though I don't deny that there are problems that still need to be fixed, a win is a win in the end.
We managed to get the win and it's still a pretty positive result for Madrid who are looking to improve after the last few games in the Champions League and La Liga have been less than comfortable for them.

I feel bad when I see predictions favoring any club playing with Madrid. This wasn't how they were before. Madrid use to be the favorites in their matches but today, that has changed. Alonso needs to fix the problem by all means so that, the team can gain their victorious moments again.

Every club goes through a transition phase, and in some matches it's not a problem when Madrid isn't always the clear favorite, because when talking about favorites for a club, it's based on performance and squad depth when they want to play. When there are some matches that make them less favored, there are definitely issues there.
Take, for example, when they faced City with many key players missing. It was only natural for City to be the favorites because they were far more prepared in terms of player condition, even though Madrid were playing at home in that match.

I think we are currently underestimating Madrid, as if a string of defeats is inevitable. However, Madrid is still Madrid, even though in the previous few weeks they achieved slightly less comfortable results due to continuous draws. Their performance so far has remained quite solid.

I always get believe that if Mbappe is always on the pitch is always dominant and score goal and even there last game they will play against sevilla they will do everything possible to achieve the three point and if Mbappe is not in the match that will be a difficult game for Madrid this weekend let see how the match will be and see if Madrid will get the victory and continue chasing Barcelona in the league table.

Although I’m actually yet to know the main problem of Real Madrid, because with the look of thing the players are feet and actually ready to make this team go higher, but what is the problem why the club is been performing that way is what I don’t really know, is it from the manager, or what.

I quite agree with you but the only issue here is that Villarreal's consistency hasn't been translated into the UCL this season, Villarreal have had a good run in the Spanish La'liga yet such they remain one of the poorest performing team in the UCL this season and being a Spanish team this has become somewhat embarrassing that they are close to the bottom of the table in the UCL whereas they are doing well in the domestic league.

Villarreal’s inconsistency in the Champions League is lack of experience because they are been defeated by some teams they can defeat at home just because of experience, they used to Laliga and UEFA Europa League football since the time of United Emrey, so we can’t blame them on their Champions League performance because they know that they can’t go far in the champions league this season.

However, I can see how good they have been playing in Laliga this season, they are incredible because they have won 11 games, drew two and lost two this season, this is a massive turnaround for the team after signing some defensive strength in the midfield because Thomas Partey is a reliable player even though he will need support to move the ball forward; but they can make it to the Champions League again next season and maybe they can do better next season.

This is the worse campaign that Villarreal have been involved in since I started seeing them participating in the UCL in more than 2 decades in the UCL, however they are doing well in the Spanish league which makes it quite incomprehensible for the yellow submarines this season. Its quite confusing to me how villarreal could defeat teams in the La'liga that are far more better than some of the teams they have faced in the UCL this season.

Villarreal lost to a division team still amazes me.  And they are on top form in la Liga, if it ends well this could be one of their best season. They have been awful at the champions League and now copa del Rey, where they played absolute nonsense against a division team . You guys will see the way they will play against Barcelona. That's when they will want to play  their prime. La Liga top 4 title contenders struggled to get win a win against their lower division team, that is very poor of them.

I don't necessarily need to be a Real Madrid fan to dislike their recent performance which  made them lose their slight lead in the Spanish La liga table especially the home loss to Celta Vigo in the league which was unexpected considering the fact that they had previously defeated Athletic Bilbao which made them favourites in the game against Celta Vigo but at the end they lost to Celta and ever since they seem to be struggling as team.

Barcelona knows how to make use of players in all ways and make sure that the team is in good shape. Some ways they get affected as they loss some matches they could have win in a speed of light but they couldn't. However, they are able to adjust and make use of the players to help maintain the best interest of the team. Now that most of the team are back from injury the team has been stablize and are not ready to lose any match now.

I don't think Real Madrid has had good team in a while like Real Madrid, he had good goals like last season but the season is better. If Mbape can lead goals for the team, all they need now is to defense aggressively like they don't have the need to score. Real Madrid's game yesterday reminded me of Manchester Uniteds current situation, their defense is very poor, how can a team like tenerife a lower division team score 2 goals against them, it is so disappointing because they were supposed to win even to nil but they are currently in a bad form and I don't think that they would be able to recover from it this season, it is very disappointing.

We know Real Madrid has declined with their performance and this season it has been really unstable.  We can only  be optimistic about them improving, but I trust Madrid is not going  to remain terrible and moreover they have actually not doing too bad except that they are not really consistent with their productivity.

If you want to achieve something, you have to sacrifice something else, and I think Villarreal is sacrificing their Champions League performance to maintain their top spot in La Liga. They don't see the need to perform so well in the Champions League when they have a better chance in La Liga.
All they need to do now is maintain their top-four finish so they can return to the Champions League next season and then try to perform even better.
This is a realistic view, because given what they've done so far in the Champions League, there's nothing they can do, and rather than exhausting their players, it's better to just give up and focus on La Liga.

They have been conceding goals recently and it is becoming very concerning...Right now it seems that they only rely on their star players like Mbappe and when a team starts doing this their form would begin to perform poorly after a while..When these star players are not on the pitch it shows a lot in their performance...it seems no matter how much work they put in winning this season is already gone for them

The pressure on Xabi is justified because we know that being in Madrid is not easy and the slightest mistake can be fatal.
Xabi's mistake now is that he can't actually make the situation better when some players are unavailable due to injury, it's not entirely the coach's fault but someone has to take responsibility for it because that's why they are now a few points ahead of their rivals.

Now Xabi just has to restore that trust by giving a good performance for Madrid because at the moment all that can save his career at Madrid is his performance on the pitch.

Absolutely right, the recent performance of Real Madrid is absolutely awful like by their standard the performance does not suit them. They are the European giant, and still many teams are terrified of their meetup, but unfortunately the current situation of Real Madrid is look like they are just a lay club. I don't know what the reason behind the bad performance of Real Madrid. We can't balm anyone for this mistakes but for sure the injury suspect is responsible for the bad performance. There is a gradual shift of dependency towards Mbappe in Madrid, notice that their goal average this season has a great part of it coming from him and like you have speculated, if he gets injured it will affect the teams firm and productivity awhile.  They have January to see how to fix the tema and establish some balance within the players and the coach.

Madrid's front line is strong, especially with Mbappé, as the main factor. Of course, several forwards have also contributed well, but ultimately, Mbappé has been the most influential. So far, Mbappé has scored 28 goals and provided 5 assists throughout the 2025/2026 season. So, his performance is indeed very strong.
