Excellent team work, excellent gameplay and an easy win. The opponent was very strong. And winning at Villarreal's home was a big challenge for Barcelona. Since Villarreal has been winning consistently for a long time. But Barcelona players did not make any mistakes. In the first half we saw some mistakes from Barcelona's defenders. But Villarreal could not take advantage of the opportunities. As a result, they were not able to score any goals in this match.

Barcelona has held on to that first spot ever since taking over from Madrid some times ago. The Laliga title race may not be too tough because the main challenger Madrid is not in form and this is really telling on them with the types of results that they are putting out. Raphinha and Yamal has been spectacular this season for Barcelona has they have been instrumental to the clubs success so far this season scoring very important goals so far this season.


With the rate at which Barcelona is going they don't look like they are going to drop any points soon, Madrid should find away and get back to form as quickly as possible because Barcelona may just win this league with a good point margin before the end of the season.

The performance of Real Madrid's defenders in this match was very good compared to the previous matches.

When I predicted Madrid defense would perform like in previous matches, it didn't happen. My bet was ruined by their solid defense, as I expected Sevilla to score at least one goal with the play they displayed last night. Yes, but I was pleased with their performance, especially Real Madrid.

In the second half, Yamal scored a great goal from De Jong's pass. Barcelona is now 2-0 ahead. Although Villarreal was able to attack a lot in the first half, the situation is completely different in the second half. Barcelona has become more aggressive in the second half and they want to win by a big margin. In the first half, Barcelona was able to make a total of only 5 shots. In the second half, they made 10 shots. Barcelona is not giving Villarreal players any chance to attack.

Yeah obviously Real Madrid current performance is a bit questionable because if we look at the last 10 matches, then we can clearly see it that Real Madrid buildup is not too strong. Like whenever I saw their match, it make me feel bit confused, like, seriously, am I seeing the real Real Madrid buildup or just a lay club. Because every player is not making any creativity... I don't know if it is the Xabi Alonso mentality or if the team is lacking a key player...Only two players I will really appreciate because their contribution regarding through the team performance is absolutely outstanding.

One is Kylian Mbappe, and another one is Thibaut Courtois like one scoring goals for team and the other one keeping the net safe. Anyway Xabi Alonso really needs a lot of improvement in the team because this inconsistent way of performance can cause a concern for his team.

Congratulations to Barcelona again. Many people thought that they will lose against Villarreal, because they are good in using home strength to beat their opponent but Barcelona showed some tactics that gave them one goal to make Villarreal players to start misbehaving to involved in red card. Villarreal is a strong clubs that is giving other strong clubs in the laLiga league worry.

With this victory Barcelona have secured today it will create more pressure to Real Madrid again, because the wish of Real Madrid in this point is for Barcelona to loose to have opportunity to lead the table.
