Now Barcelona, we can say that they are stable, and they are managing to make their stability count, as i said elsewhere, i don't remember where, thanks to Hansi Flick who has done a truly excellent job in solving the team's internal problems.
Barcelona aren't completely stable either just that they are on a safer end since Madrid are not meeting up perfectly with their own winning consistency. The road to the Laliga title race is still far. It's just unfortunate Madrid will now hope Barcelona drops points in order to catch up with them but let's hope the don't widen the margin because it seems Barcelona are eager to get their trophy again this season. Hansi Flick is just enjoying the moment I hope it stays so till the end.

He managed to stabilize after a decidedly difficult period, the fundamental problem was that the other departments were not performing consistently, apart from the attack which is obviously formidable.
In fact, they managed to overcome a Real Madrid who were in clear difficulty.

Hansi Flick is a very experienced coach, so it's no surprise that his leadership at Barcelona is truly excellent, because he doesn't seem to panic when the team's performance declines, so he can immediately identify his team's weaknesses and quickly fix them. So that's why even though Barcelona's performance was not good, currently Barcelona is really performing well again. Because it's clearly thanks to a great coach like Hansi Flick. But I don't think Barcelona should be happy just yet, because basically this season is still quite long.

So now they have to make their performance much greater and must not let their team have too many gaps anymore. Because currently, I personally think Barcelona still has gaps, especially in their defense. So that's why I hope Hansi Flick can immediately fix that weakness. Because if Barcelona can have a good performance in defense and attack, they will definitely be a very strong team and have the potential to become champions in various competitions they participate in.

It is true that Real Madrid has some defensive issues but they did alright in the last games so I think they found out whatever their problem was and doing better these days instead. Do not get me wrong, they were great at the start of the season as well, the only part they were bad was for a month or two month period where they dropped from leader position to second place, but ever since then they have been quite decent.

This is why we shouldn't really be wondering why they are not going to act too much on this because they look like they solved the issue. If you give Real Madrid long enough time then usually they fix whatever problems they have within and that is what they probably did and will wait until the summer again.

Definitely their defensive tactics have a lot of problem like some players are not doing their job in better shape despite some players are absent due to injury. So I think because of this, Real Madrid have trailing with lack of performance. Xabi Alonso is still trying to observe the loop hole but unfortunately he didn't even understand what to do, like what stance will be good to solve this defensive weakness....

Moreover, I think Xabi Alonso needs some good defensive player because current situation is bit sloppy and no one is doing well so probably new signing can bring up some good addition to the squad depth. Besides that Xabi Alonso also need a good midfielders like who can supply the ball possession. I hope after few Real Madrid progress will slightly rise instead of dropping.

They will not find more experienced defenders now. Alonso should try to use the players in the squad properly. Improve the relationship between the players. And change the match strategy. It is good to see your confidence however we also need to look at the table, two days ago Atletico were fourth behind the top three. Again Barca and Real are much higher with 46/42 point, and Atleticos point are between 25 and 37. That mean they are still in a fight but they have not been able to breathe down their necks

It is quite difficult for Atletico Madrid to stay in the title race of course. They will just look for chances to gain on them a little. But I don't expect them to be still in it while Barcelona - Real Madrid are fighting each other in the last moments.

Who knows maybe even one of top 2 teams (probably Real Madrid  ) would also say goodbye to the title earlier.

I will not deny that they showed that they are in form by beating Girona 3-0. This win will give them a good boost before they face Sociedad. And Sociedads current situation is kinda ew, with consecutive loss and draw they are already cornered. In my opinion Sociedads season is going disgusting. However nothing can be said in advance in La Liga. On the other hand Barca is also doing well, they are finishing 2025 like kings by defeating Villarreal

So the gap will only be reduced if Atletico can find the right matches. But if you think the game will be completely watery then you would be wrong lol..

Real Sociedad are an utter mess. I even started to think about if they might relegate. But Atletico Madrid won't probably get a very comfortable win like at least a 2-goal gap or so. Simeone's game wouldn't surprise us.

I just learned that La Liga always gives out awards in several categories at the end of the year. The awards were held in Dubai this Monday. Interestingly, several Barcelona players dominated the awards. This is likely due to Barcelona's stellar 2024/25 La Liga season.Here are the names and awards they received.

Barcelona dominated the 2025 La Liga awards and we can see that two talented Barcelona players won the award. Honestly, Rafinha deserved this award for the way he worked for the team last season because in all the matches I watched, the Brazilian player had an attacking influence, consistency and decisiveness, as a result he is now the most influential player in this league, which everyone has noticed, as he was voted the 2025 Player of the Year.

On the other hand, it seems that the young Spanish player Lamine Yamal was chosen as the best under-23 player, in fact, in my opinion, he was also competing well to win the Ballon d'Or, so he deserved this award as well. Yes, this problem is noticeable at Real Madrid. Every player wants to show themselves and prove themselves to the team. There's also a rivalry between Vinicius and Kylian Mbappé. If you ask which player is better, I'd say the one who does their job best. If the rivalry between them is currently harming the team, then both need to be warned. Despite having a very good squad, Real Madrid is behind Barcelona in the Spanish league. Therefore, players need to prioritize team success over individual achievement.

Since their last UEFA and La Liga trophies, they have struggled with injuries..they chose not to bring in new players at the time, and that affected the balance of the squad even after signing a few new players .

Apart from the defence, I think they should also look at the midfield. They still need a proper playmaker imo if they can’t build one , and maybe one more defensive midfielder(if necessary , although they have the resources I guess).

Aside from the injury issues plaguing Real Madrid I don't think it will easy to find someone as good as Luka Modric I think the best they could do is utilize the players/midfielders they have, I think the best person that come alittle close to Modric is Arda Guler, and I honestly think Xabi isn't using Guler to the fullest, Xabi know the place Arda Guler is most excellent at and he is having problems fixing him with Bellingham. From that period Bellingham was off due to his surgery, we saw how Guler coordinated that midfield and I feel he can do it when peered with Valverde, but there is the issue of Bellingham.

Then they should do something about there shaky/ injury ridden defense, either they should find better physio doctor or just find a solution because this is becoming to often.

We know their problem isn't in midfield, so the main priority should be fixing their current main issue: defense, while there aren't any true replacements for Modric and Cross, Bellingham and Arda are slowly replacing them as playmakers in midfield and they're doing quite well, it's just a matter of time.

The January transfer window is a perfect time for Madrid to bring in new defenders. Btw, Barcelona is also struggling right now so their strength is likely to falter and this is a good opportunity for Madrid to capitalize.

Experience and talented but half of them are injured. The way the doctors are quick to discharged says alot how desperate the team is looking for replacement but as it is, the team doesn't have the money the perfect way to do that. Carvahal need to replaced without a doubt, enough of the on and off. Look at Rudiger, the guy is not coming back for the rest of the season, this is making the team looks like they are available but they don't look like one.

Xabi should spend that money unless he is not the one in charge of buying players for replacement. This season, this has been the major problem of Real Madrid, it's always the defenders problem. If you have a problem that you are dealing with for 2 seasons and you can't comprehend a proper solution to make it easy for you and your team to win leagues, it will take years and years for the club to bag one good trophy. It will be a shame if they lose this season if they are not even losing if already.

Their condition this season does look very different and quite severe because they really can't make some breakthroughs like they always did in previous seasons.

17 matches they only managed to get 4 wins which looks a lot of worry even in the last 4 weeks they were only able to win 1 point.
Facing Atletico actually this could be a disaster for them but on the one hand I hope they can give their best performance because after all they have a squad that is actually quite good just how they grow mentality and make their performance the same as before which always troubles some big clubs and subscription champions.
This is indeed quite difficult for Sociedad but they inevitably have to do this if they want good conditions at the end of the season, if they lose again to Atletico then their position in the main competition could be threatened and move to Segunda.
