To be honest Real Madrid did notice such a great lost coming on their way in that last leg in the champions League  but i believe that they know what they are doing because even with the lost they still qualify to the next stage of the championship League tournament and i know that Real Madrid is going to win their next match in the champions League and i know that Real Madrid is going to win to Rayo Vallecano on Sunday to be able maintain one different gap if by paraventual Barcelona can loss or draw any day.

Assuming Real Madrid won that match, they would have qualified automatically and will not go through the stress of play-off,  a time that would have used to focus on their La Liga matches. That loss was a heavy blow at them and if they had anyway of avoiding it, they would have done that. I know they will qualify through the play-off but for now they have not qualified and the only teams that have qualified are Bayern Munic, Barcelona, Sporting Lisbo and the five England team.

The 4-2 defeat in the UCL by SL Benfica is a big blow that might affect the match against Rayo Vallecano. Unless they build their confidence and overcome the losses, they may not achieve a good result in this game. Some fans were not pleased that coach Alvaro Arbeloa kept Vinicius Jr. and Jude Bellingham in their last game, despite it being clear that they were not productive. This might be an indication that some players are untouchable in the team. Some important players like Dani Carvajal and Dani Ceballos have not playing under the new coach. This game is very important for Real because it will please the fans and restore their confidence.

After that disappointing display by Madrid I don't know how they're going to get over what happened in the champions league and focus on the league game at hand. Madrid would be host Rayo Vallecano, with that same sad face I don't think it will be easy for them to easily forget the champions league game, they need to move on because if they don't Barcelona will be happy to secure another 3pt and extend their lead which will be hard to close the gap, we know that 1pt is not enough but at this point Madrid need to be winning their games while they wait for Barcelona to slip off the number 1 spot, can Madrid be at their best against Rayo Vallecano?

They could look like a poor side that can't pose any threats but when the time comes it becomes difficult for Madrid to even show that frustration you talked about, true Madrid are not in any way ready to be a good host but let's see how they can manage this encounter. Rayo Vallecano are one of those teams that are good with dashing out free points but can Madrid rap everything up at half time? Can they even dominate the game till the end? That's what we should start asking because if it's Barcelona I'd say they can bounce back and stronger but for Madrid, is too much as they look like a team that won't win any trophy this season.

The Espanyol vs. Alaves match has at least gone as I expected. So now I can relax, whatever the outcome. both teams have scored, which means there are already two goals and I'm sure there will be one more goal in this match. however, Espanyol seems to be struggling in this match, even though they are the home team.

Espanyol lost the truck badly. This team performed well for a long time. The team has the potential to finish in the top  4 of the table if they can continue with a  somewhat stable performance. But now this is not possible. They lost against teams like alaves. The match ended 2-1 . Espanyol have lost 4  of their last 5 matches and drawn one. Anyway, the team is now fifth in the points table. But it will not be  possible for them to qualify for europa league or Conference League. They will  gradually fall further in the points table.

This means this game won't be easy for Real Madrid even though they're the home side, as Rayo Vallecano have repeatedly troubled them. A defense that is still very fragile is Real Madrid's biggest weakness, especially since overall only Mbappe and Courtois have been able to shine amid the crisis Madrid is experiencing. That's what we don't know, they have to prove they deserve it if they want to stay in La Liga next season. Now they're playing against Girona, in the 68th minute & still Oviedo 0 - 0 Girona. If Oviedo can win this match, we can still expect them to stay in La Liga, but if the result is bad for them, then in theory Oviedo will return to playing in La Liga 2 for next season.

Indeed no way Espanyol are a top 4 contender now. They have been losing in the league over and over again for so many weeks! There isn't the same team from earlier in the season anymore.

Besides they are 7 points behind Villarreal and they have even played 2 extra matches than them so...  

Top 4 is already decided theoretically. We are just waiting for the mathematical certainty.

Vini sold and Mbappe to the original position is not bad but indeed for this there must be consideration for a pure striker who can indeed become another goal machine.
Haaland is good but it still seems a little difficult because for me putting Haaland together with Mbappe is like putting Messi together with Cristiano. Not meaning to compare Messi Cristiano with Haaland Mbappe because these 2 goats are still unmatched by anyone but for now the future benchmark is clearly Haaland and Mbappe for the current era so it will be very difficult to unite these 2 players in 1 club for ego problems and of course the attack benchmark.

Selling Vinic would be really tough in my opinion, because his impact as a winger is huge and there’s basically no other player with the same kind of skills. I’d be more okay if Rodrygo or Bellingham were the ones sold, then bring in new players to improve the lineup.

About needing a pure striker, I actually agree with @Furious 7 that putting Haaland and Mbappe together would be very difficult, since both of them want to be the main guy. If Madrid were open to it, they should go for Joselu, who used to be a proper striker for Madrid, but yeah, that’s probably not happening.

The option if Vini is sold is to return Mbappe to the left wing, as he was at PSG, so that he can play as a winger with speed and scoring ability, but the risk is that adjustments will have to be made when this happens because Mbappe has been quite comfortable as a target man for the last two seasons.

In terms of financial strength, Madrid could certainly sign Haaland and pair him with Mbappe, but the risk is that ego could become an issue again. We know that the first season between Vini and Mbappe was a bit challenging, even though it wasn't explicitly shown, but both players clearly have their own egos to prove themselves. In general, derbies between teams from the same city, such as Real Madrid, Rayo Vallecano, or against Atlético de Madrid, have extra pressure and it is easier for there to be a surprise. Although in this case I would not bet much on Rayo, as they are having a pretty bad season. If the match were at Rayo's ground, even though Madrid are also favourites, I would think there would be more chance of a surprise.

Barcelona really needs to stay very focused and at the same time they should not try to take any match for granted right now because when they do or loss any point then Real Madrid is right behind them to take good advantage of that opportunity and boost themselves up with their coming match.

Oviedo won the game against Girona with a single goal. That was great from them, yet I don't understand how they gonna manage to survive the relegation while barely collecting points since the beginning of the season. They have like 6 points difference at least to tie with Getafe, the team that is sitting just above the relegation zone and which is lacking a match comparing to Oviedo.

The adjustment they are doing now is worse than leaving him with his natural position. He was a beast in PSG playing left wing bit accept that position out of causing rift in the club between the players. Assuming they let him play what he does best, even if Real Madrid doesn't win the League Barcelona has won in the last two seasons, they will have some chance of winning some, it's too late to try to convert Mbape back to left wings with or without Vinicious absence.

You don't know Real Madrid, they went for Haaland but Real Madrid sealed the deal before them. However, I think they didn't go hard for the deal, they had Benzema that time when Haaland was doing well in Manchester City and it's not like they are the type that go hard to get a player. Those time they wanted given all to Mbape, he refused but in the end, Mbape came to Real Madrid as free agent. They need to let go of some players if they want to see progression in the team.

Rayo Vallecano is in a situation where Real Madrid is more likely to win, if football is not unpredictable I would have been sure of Real Madrid winning. But in football there are no sure results.

The statistics and recent performances point in the direction of Real Madrid, even Real Madrid will be playing as the home team. The loss to Benfica in the Champions League may not have worn off yet, although they have a chance to get revenge against the same team in the same competition. Real Madrid should get an easy win against Rayo Vallecano.
