Another movie; it seems that we Real Madrid fans will have a season where we'll need tranquilizers. This game had everything: Mbappé missing a goal, two red cards, a lot of extra time, something very exaggerated.

Were you really expecting much from Real Madrid this season? As a Madrid fan you aren't supposed to be thinking about anything other than making a spot in the top four. Even though I see some sign of improvement in the past few games since the arrival of the new coach, I don't have high hope on Real Madrid this season. Normally, when a team changes a coach especially in the middle of the season, they are likely to have a difficult time for the rest of that season. Things were already difficult for Madrid before the coming of Arbeola but he seems to be able to contain the team from further damage and reduce the gap between Madrid and Barcelona.

Rayo Vallencano almost repeated history today, only to be robbed. The penalty awarded to Real Madrid in the last minute was never a penalty. The kick was a soft touch, and the defender was actually aiming for the ball.

Well, both Barcelona and Real Madrid have won their league games, nothing have change at the top. Let us watch out how the remaining games will turn out.

Honestly it wasn't suppose to be awarded as a penalty from how I saw it, the tackle was too soft and my annoyance with the Rayo Vallecano players is that they have everything under their control, Madrid was the ones who are desperately in need of the 3pt but they choose to come out and compete with a more attacking Madrid side,  for me they should have hold on to the ball and frustrate them, it could have worked but they felt they have what it takes to beat Madrid and it back fired.

I was not impressed with the type of performance that I saw from Madrid today struggling to win at home against a team like Rayo vallecano as Madrid won the hard way from a pen in the last minute of extra time. Madrid should start playing as a team because from what I see this Madrid team play in the last two games there is a lot of work to do . Barcelona may end up winning the Laliga title with a huge point gap if madrid continues to play this way. It changed by a lot since last year as Rayo Vallecano lost less than one third of their games last year. This year it is not yet like a walkover, but it is quite close to it. They have the second worst attacking line in La Liga and that is their biggest problem. They have several games with no goals scored and I find it surprising that Real Madrid wasn't able to finish them off far more impressively than they did.

It is hard to believe that Real Madrid needed a penalty in 90+10 to get those 3 points. In addition to that Rayo Vallecano played with 10 players for over 20 minutes.

All of this demonstrates that Arbeloa hasn't fixed anything.

Even though they are trash, with real Madrid, they are never a trash, because no matter how Rayo Vallecano played and perform with other teams, they will want to improve their play against real Madrid, for me till now I don't know what they have against real Madrid or it is just the spirit that has been with them from the time of onset.
The game they had with Real Madrid of which they lost, was due to the late red card and this lead to so much pressure on the defensive side of Vallecano.

Barcelona recorded the highest XGs but still couldn't score many goals. This ferran Torres is not reliable as a striker, he keeps missing important chances, hadn't been lewandoski is getting old and slow, ferran won't see the spotlight of becoming a 9 for Barcelona. Chances were begging yesterday. The first half was really good, but the players improved themselves in the second half. I think Elche was on a home record. The person I want to talk about is Rashford, it's like that guy has lost his goal scoring touch. That one on one he missed should have been an easy goal for. Barcelona can't afford to be wasting chances like this because as from  this month is where the season gets tougher.

Barcelona can certainly continue their journey in a linear manner as they are doing without too many hitches. Clearly this team is tailor-made to at least win the championship, certainly if they don't find someone in their path, clearly there are teams like Real Madrid who are waiting for missteps.

Real Madrid are not that strong like before, but I know they deserved to win that game. We all saw their performance. If not that they were not lucky, we all know that that game would definitely have been a win for them, as they really tried their possible best in the game. Although the penalty in the last minute was the reason why they won, if not for that, it would be disappointing to Real Madrid that after Rayo Vallecano got two red cards in the game, they still drew the game. But as it’s going like this, I know Real Madrid will get back to their feet soon.

The current form of Madrid is different from what we used to know  that got them that gives us so much confidence that they will be able  to win trophies in the past seasons. It is only hopes we have for them that they eventually  improve and do better and begin  to win trophies as we had known them even before now.

As expected Barcelona won Elche, this was something everyone expected from Barcelona however they missed a lot of chances Barcelona would have scored 7 goals yesterday but they missed a lot of chances, I predicted and bet for Barcelona to score 4 goals and above and that match would have ended on my favour and I would have won some money but because of those Chances that the players missed I lost the bet, good performance from Barcelona they performed very well and they shown us that they really want to lift the La liga title this season.
We expect Real Madrid to also win their match so they can chase after Barcelona, I believe Real Madrid will win Rayo today.

The only thing that worries me is to see Barcelona losing the title for Real Madrid because the latter team is so miserable in my opinion. Barcelona when they play games they win big while Real Madrid victories are so random with late goals that might not come... I fail to understand them especially that this was the case since years. The game against Rayo Vallecano was at the point of ending with a draw. They waited for Mbappe to score from a penalty after ten minutes of the injury time while facing 10 players for more than twenty minutes, injury time included..

In my opinion Barcelona do have a greater chance in winning the Spanish league title than any I could think of about them well prepared enough for the UCL title because the competition in the UCL is like a battle in a no man's land that even the team at the finishing top in the group stage still doesn't appear most favourite to win it. For Barcelona performance I am impressed with how determined and business minded they get at winning their games in the La'liga which has really puts much pressure on Real Madrid in the league.

 For me, Madrid aren't really threatening because if they were they wouldn't be making every game look so difficult. Imagine that you're desperate to win your game and then you score a goal and relax, forgetting that your opponents are fighting to get away from the relegation zone. Madrid were very lucky to have gotten that late penalty if not it would have been a shame that a team of their standards, playing at home and having a man advantage, couldn't win comfortably. So what if the penalty hadn't come in, that means it would have ended in a draw?

The no man's land logical may not right for Barcelona right now. There are still many more matches to play and Real Madrid is still a challenge. Although their performance is not guaranteed like Barcelona because yesterday's match review shows that Real Madrid did not play well against Rayo, but they should have scored more goals. Vinícius scored a goal with a solo effort. He scored a goal after a long time of almost three months. The thing that he is criticized for is that Vinícius is a bit isolated in the team's performance. I feel that as long as Real Madrid is winning ugly, Barcelona is better choice to remain top if they continue their current levels of hard work of winning through to final months of season, due to their precise hunger and their goal difference.

Honestly Elce got lucky with the amount of goals Barcelona missed. If you watched the game, hell even just the highlights, you would see that there were at least five more chances where Barcelona should have scored, and just got unlucky and failed.

It was a win for Barcelona but more important it was a good feeling that they finally looked a lot better than the team they were playing against, which hasn't happened in a while, they are still the leaders and they will stay there for a week more but they need to keep this momentum going.

Elche were very fortunate that Barca did not take all the chances they had else the game would've been a landslide of goals much earlier. Even when you watch the highlights it clearly show how many clear opportunities were wasted. The performance was superb and Barca looked dominant all round and that’s a big positive. staying at the top of the table is a good thing for sure!!  but keeping this momentum is what will really matter going forward

This season is going well for Barcelona but it's not easiliy beating Real Madrid in La Liga title competition because Real Madrid are very strong and experience in title race while in this season they still have many star players.

Getting Marcus Rashford from Manchester United is like a gift for Barcelona as they have more attacking power from him in a season when Robert Lewandowski has more problems with ageing effects on his body, fitness and performances for the club.
