The 5 goal scored by Atletico Madrid yesterday at the Copa del Rey Quarterfinals was a statement well written by the atletico side to show their commitment and determination to winning the trophy. If they are able to do this, they will be so happy as all their efforts and investments on the new players like Lookman will not be seen as an effort in futility. A 5 goal victory is one which will continue to give the club the pride and confidence to strike more in their next two games. Now Barcelona, Athletic Club, Real Sociedad and Atletico Madrid are the clubs playing the semifinals. It will really be interesting to see who plays against the Barcelona guys but if it is not going to be atletico Madrid then I’m very confident they will go to the finals because they can easily beat the rest of the clubs remaining. Kudos to Lookman for scoring a goal in his debut match and I think he’s made a good decision to be here and in a midst of young players who are working hard to make the club proud.

With this win they clearly qualify for the next round. This means they are now focused solely on the next round where they will face Athletic Bilbao who also secured a victory after defeating the strongest team in La Liga Valencia. This was also unexpected as they were able to win at Valencia's home ground indicating they were better prepared than Valencia. This clearly shows the away team's strengths and they deserve to advance.

In the next round they will face Atletico Madrid which we know will be quite fierce. Atletico Madrid is currently in good form so Bilbao will continue to improve to be better prepared for the next round.

There are some rumours from Lewandowski's wife that this season might be his last, so His space is open. Now, Barca can get A great attacker and change this into a great opportunity for them or They Lose a great striker and the Space isn't filled by a competent player and they just make things Worse. It was a different game against Real Betis. It was great to see Simeone change his game plan and he bravely played an attacking game in the away game. We are used to seeing Atletico Madrid play defensively. I like to see them play like that in most matches, now it is time for a change in tactics. I also wonder if the chaos is really caused by one of the players you mentioned, because the team management should see this as an option to resolve their own internal problems. Real Madrid was experiencing a similar problem last year. Mbappé tries to take advantage of many chances on his own and often fails to pass to the right players. Furthermore, we're seeing some players performing much worse this year compared to last. Bellingham and Vini have been practically invisible for two years. It's time they pulled themselves together and started playing better. Mbappé can't fight for this team alone.

It was a very comfortable win for Diego Simeone and his boys in the competition but I wonder if they can be able to replicate this performance when it comes to the league because it would be a big shame if they go far in other tournaments but are stuck at a place in the Laliga.
 I believe that if Atletico Madrid can continue this performance they gave against Betis in the league, it would make a worthy competition against the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Atletico Madrid will be the team they’ll want them to play in the finals against Barcelona because that will be the most interesting finals in the Copa del Rey as in to when the finals is against other teams asides Barcelona and Atletico Madrid match up. Atletico Madrid have shown a great performance in their quarterfinals and this is a sign of a more exciting finals if they meet up with Barcelona in the final game of the Copa del Rey. Lookman is a great player and he has continued to show that greatness even after joining his new team Atletico Madrid. I know that he’ll do well even in this new club because he has the potential to deliver as usual.
