Yes, Betis got their revenge after that heavy defeat. After the 5–0 loss in the Cup, Betis looked fully fired up and eventually managed to beat Atletico away from home. Antony was the key man, scoring the decisive goal after a pass from Abde, and that proved to be enough. Betis showed real character and clearly bounced back from the cup humiliation.

Even though that revenge wouldn’t cause much damages to Atletico Madrid as it did to them but nevertheless they still got a revenge. Atletico Madrid were kinda dominant in the second half but they didn’t get a goal but I saw that two of their goals were disallowed.

For Simeone’s side, this defeat is a very painful one. Atletico’s title race is basically over now, as the gap to Barcelona has grown to 13 points.

I am not surprised by the result. Because Real betis was not a weak opponent. They have a strong enough squad. On the other hand, atletico madrid's performance is also quite irregular.

I didn't expect that they'll lose at home, they had some good chances but couldn't use them to their advantage, I could see the disappointment on the face of their coach and even on Julián Alvarez's cause he could help his team secure 3 points, this loose is so disappointing but they'll get past it, atleast they're still in the top 4. It's high time that Atletico Madrid seek a better option than Simeone cause it's very obvious that he can't compete with Barcelona and Real Madrid like you said. Real Madrid is supposed to win Valencia, it shouldn't be a tough match for them but a suprise could happen so I won't conclude yet.

Winning a game is about taking advantage and utilizing of the chances you get against your opponent but Atletico Madrid failed to do that as they had lots of chances on goal than Real Betis but wasted them. They continue to perform as a mediocre team in the La'liga which is quite disappointing that all ATM does every season is battle to secure a top 4 spot for the UCL for the next season when they're supposed to be in the race to win the league just as Barcelona and Real Madrid constantly battle for.

Until Diego Simeone is replaced, Atletico Madrid can't go beyond where they are but I doubt he would be sacked anytime soon because it's like the ATM management board are satisfied with just qualifying them for the UCL every season.

Before the match I was pretty sure Madrid could get 3 points in this match but when looking at the line-up although my belief is still the same, there is a little skepticism that I feel because some players cannot currently be in the squad to play.

Jude, Vini, Rodrygo are missing although I know in the end sometimes Vini is also always unpredictable when his performance on the field but his role is still quite important in the squad.
What I don't understand is when Arbeloa starts Jimenez at right-back when there's already Trent and Carvajal on the bench. I know they've just recovered but it's a brave and risky move in my opinion.

60 minutes have now passed and still no goals have been scored so far, let's hope Madrid can still take the 3 points now because if not the competition will be a bit more difficult and the doubts many have about Madrid will be even greater.

They’ve got to be, they’ve just got to be. This was a fixture that was worth avoiding although, one might think that given their home advantage and the scoreline from their last fixture, Atletico Madrid could have managed to score over 0.5 but Real Betis wasn’t going to give any chances. These are finally some true words about Real Madrid. Except for a few scenes throughout the game, which Real Madrid will always have of course because of their individual strength of some players, their overall game is not fun to watch. I miss those days when they showed some serious dominance and controlled the midfield and the passing game with Kroos and Modric. You could literally feel how they had it all in their hands and played top level football. Now it is like waiting for that one long ball all game long that either Vinicius Junior or Mbappe can hopefully score or they need a penalty to decide a game. But games when Real Madrid plays with great style for 90 minutes are very rarely see nowadays.
