If you ask me I will say this is a true exercise of brilliance in performance but like your last statement did projected, how sustainable can this be? Overall its fantastic achievement for the new manager Arbeloa since appointing for replacing Xabi Alonso position, indeed has bad start after eliminating at Copa del Rey and Madrid in short term success return back to top performance exactly winning 5 La Liga matches in a row. If I notice since Madrid was managed by Arbeloa, there are positive things, namely the bond of the players and with Arbeloa himself, I think he managed to control the dressing room which was a difficult thing for Xabi to do, or maybe another reason is that Arbeloa relaxed the discipline of the players. I think that Arbeloa is the good coach that can manage real madrid this season because the players are given him so respect the they didn't give xabi Alonso when he still coaching the team and that makes him more angry and leave the club easily. And xabi Alonso as show different things in vini Jr and Mbappe he show that he prefers Mbappe more then him and that hurt vini Jr more and plan to leave the club and didn't renew is contract.

He took over a club that was divided and lacked motivation. So the two losses are excusable. The loss against Benfica was a big blow because they had to play matches in the Playoffs. But Real Madrid has taken over the leadership of La Liga, which is commendable. If Real continue with this performance, they might win the La Liga and could do well in the UCL if they survive in the playoffs.  

Truth, Real Madrid was playing like a team with zero vision before the current manager took over as the coach but his two match loss can still be forgiven since has some how returned normalcy in the team and the game play of the team has greatly improved giving them the advantage to take over the top spot from Barcelona. Athletic Bilbao 2-1 Elche

Undoubtedly the Athletic Club were very lucky today. They managed to secure 3 points from the match in the end. As Elche played badly defensively today, I thought the match would be a draw. But Guruzeta scored from the penalty in the 89th minute of the match. And Athletic Bilbao won the match 2-1.

1 point from the match would be considered a good result for Elche. So they are playing defensive from the beginning of the match. They managed to make only 2 shots in 90 minutes. Even so, Athletic Club secured the win in the end.

Right now his performance is looking good but honestly it not the argument for the end result like through this we can't determine whether he will continue like this or he will distract til the end. Few matches can't show us that he will be the successor of Real Madrid because sometimes a coach does a little good but unfortunately at the end he lost his ability to compete properly. Similarly if we look at the Xabi Alonso situation he also lost his first match (Against Al Hilal) but after few matches he started good progress and again at end he slipped into bad toes even he got sacked off.

So Arbelova are still new here like still he need to show more progress here. Still there is a lot of demanding assessment is required for him. Anyway let's see what happens.
