For a team to excel very well, they need to have every bit of it in check to stand a chance for a successful season. I do agree with you. But for me, I think the biggest question should be how exactly Madrid uses their midfield as a unit. As long as the structure is right and every other player around Wharton helps the guy settle in, I strongly believe he’s gonna make quite a significant impact on the team. Rodri is kinda like the finished product while Wharton would be more of a future investment. And it’ll be unfair to compare them both.  Wharton may be young and talented, but Madrid would have to be patient with him because you can’t really expect a player like Wharton who’s still basically developing to just walk into Madrid and immediately begin to replicate what Rodri has achieved at the highest level, that’s just too high an expectation.

No! It is literally  nothing about Spain winning the FIFA World Cup, it is about at the same time nothing about the three Spanish players who also played a part to see them win the tournament.
I'd say it is more about Real Madrid missing out again from signing Rodri which should have seen them as unstoppable. Barcelona also should be the club signing Rodri so that also adds to it. I do not hate nor dislike Jose Mourinho but I no longer see him as that guy anymore.

I don’t like picking a favorite this early. I think we should at least wait and see how the teams perform in the first few rounds. I suspect Barcelona should have a strong start to the season because the team is already well settled, they haven’t made that many changes, and they have a lot of quality players. The only question is whether they’ve found a worthy replacement for Lewandowski or not. Other than that, I really like the team.

As for Real Madrid, they’ve strengthened the squad very well, but I want to see how well they play together from the start, or whether they’ll need some time to gel.
