When Rodri is fully fit, he's definitely going to start for any team in Europe at the moment. We saw what happened in the FIFA World Cup and how he pocketed most of the prolific players they faced especially in the knockout stage.

Frankie De Jong on his own is also a big player player that can start for the biggest teams when fit but in a situation where both players are fit for Barcelona, I expect Rodri to be picked ahead of the Dutch midfielder.

I think that taking a player of Rodri's caliber into the team and not letting him play would be a truly crazy idea or plan. He is a formidable player who has maintained control of Manchester City's midfield for as long as he has played there. He took control of the Spanish national team's midfield, so if Barcelona bought him and then didn't let him play, it would be a bit ridiculous.

Playing Rodri is not going to be a problem at all for Barcelona, Hansi Flick knows what to do with him and why he signed him. Barça don’t have a world class striker yet so having a powerful midfield is what’s good for them now and matches with their style of play.

Frenkie De Jong still has his own role to play in the squad and is a valuable asset for Barcelona. They might play same role but they have different styles of play and what they’ll contribute to the squad.

This is going to be an interesting match, it has been a long time when both teams met and now they are meeting in their first match of the league, Atletico Madrid's performance in the last five matches are not in a very good shape and now they are hosting malaga but despite that I still have confidence that Atletico Madrid will do well to start the season with winning.

Checking their head to head you will realize that Atletico Madrid have secure more victories Malaga, but despite that i don't want to underestimate Malaga because they are performance in the last five matches are not that bad, so let's wait and see how the game will be before they approve me wrong.

I looked at the starting lineups and see that Alvarez is missing this game due to poor form. I don't think his form is so bad right now that Simeone decided to leave him out, I think there's still a possibility that Alvarez could transfer to another team. But if that were the case, he might not even be included in the missing players. Perhaps the real reason is that Alvarez's form is poor right now, because he joined the first team training staff quite late due to his post World Cup vacation.

I also thought that maybe Julián Alvarez would play this match, since it is Atlético Madrid's first match, but I miss Julián Alvarez at Atlético Madrid at the beginning, and since there is a slight possibility of him changing teams, this could be the reason. Anyway, leaving this aspect aside, the match will now be about what kind of result Atlético Madrid starts their journey with, I expect them to win the match, Atlético Madrid are a much better team than Málaga CF, so I don't think they will have much trouble, anyway, the match is going 30 minutes, but the score is 0-0, let's see when and from which team we get the first goal.

They are not the favourite to win the Champions League, but you can't mention teams with the most chance of winning the Champions League and not include Barcelona in it.

These are my four favourite clubs to win the Champions League competition yet again. As for who wins La Liga, it has got to be Barcelona again in my opinion. Jose Mourinho has assembled a good squad, but they will have to show working and missing out on getting Rodri was also another fatal blow Real Madrid fans do not talk about.

Don't  forget that Atlético ate still in the game , they made some signings last season that boosted their performance. I've  not been really following their activities for the transfer window , can't say how strong their squad is currently but I do know that they are going to keep Alvarez for this season which is also a plus to every other signings they do.
 
Some Premier league clubs can outshine Arsenal this season but we will get there once the league starts.

Atletico Madrid are leading with a goal point, their performance isn't looking very weak but they can also improve as there will be more competitions for the title race. Barcelona and Real Madrid proceeded to secure important players that will help them win the league, I doubt if Atletico Madrid have the same players that could put them ahead of the La Liga favourites, always a new season to keep securing a Champions League position.

I was expecting Málaga to atleast score a goal to welcome their fans back to La Liga, it will be a disappointing defeat if they lose to a goalless defeat. 10 minutes left for the final whistle, they could net one goal before the match ends.

At last Atletico Madrid's efforts has shown result in the 71 minutes of the game when no one expected it coming,  from first half the game was pointing towards a direction no body know as both teams maintained a goalless draw till now that Atletico have managed to provide adequate insurance and directions where the game is going.  
I won't start congratulating Atletico Madrid players now because 20 minutes and above is enough to rewrite stories especially in the football world where everything is absolutely possible.  
All we should be waiting for now is the final whistle because that is the only thing that can provide the desired prove that anyone has won or not.

Athletico Madrid is now winning on 1 goal that came from the new signing from Paris-Saint-German(Kang in) it’s been a boring game since I started watching the game, Malaga have missed some opportunities they should be in front, Athletico Madrid is  playing at home so they’re expected to win this game even on paper, Malaga deserves something from this game as they will be looking to take at least a point in this game, to make a statement in their coming back from relegation, I notice that teams are having a cooling break I’m just wondering if that was also implemented in the Leagues, I thought people was criticizing the Cooling Break at the FIFA World Cup, Curiosity made me Ask.

Atletico Madrid had a chance to win today's match from the beginning. Although there was a chance, it was not guaranteed because Julián Alvarez was not there. At first, I thought the match would not be exciting because important players from both teams were out of the field due to injuries. But football never stops for one player, as was proven again today. Today's match was very aggressive. Atletico Madrid played aggressively from the beginning. But the number of fouls in this match was too high. The players were aggressive towards each other.

Málaga had zero shots on target against Atlético throughout the entire game, and only managed one in extra time. However, the game started off extremely badly for Atlético, with two yellow cards for two defenders. During the break I decided to take a risk and bet on Atletico to win at odds of 1.72, and I'm glad it paid off. Overall, statistically, it was a well-deserved victory, but Atletico, just like last season, looked weak against the underdogs. It seems that even without Alvarez they should win more confidently in such an unbalanced game, but no, Atletico looks pale, but  because of this there is an opportunity to catch good odds live hehe.

I really expected Barcelona to win this match and I believe others also expected them to win the match however, I expected them to win the match with more goals, but they scored only two goals.
To be honest, I’m not impressed with Barcelona if they use this to start this coming season they won’t be able to lift the La Liga title anymore because right now in the friendly matches Real Madrid is doing more better. I expected them to do more in this match by scoring three goals and above.

I believe when the season will start they are going to start playing more better and putting more effort. Maybe since is a friendly match that is why they are not taking it serious.

Quite surprised to see how Racing Santander who incidentally for now is a promotion club but managed to hold Villarreal to a draw with a score of 2-2 in the first match even if looking at how Racing play I think other than possession they do not look far in terms of strength in this match.

I commend the strength of Racing Santander because even as they just promoted newly, they didn't fear the team who finished third in the La Liga last season which is Villarreal. If not that they gave away the 2 goals advantage they had in the first half they were even supposed to win Villarreal. The problem they had was that immediately they scored 2 goals first, they kept attacking instead of them to calm down and play diplomatically.

They have shown that they are here to stay with that singular performance, we should not be surprised when they start challenging teams like Barcelona and Real Madrid because if they can have this awesome performance against Villarreal, either Real Madrid or Barcelona will find it difficult to win them when they meet. I like when promoted teams put up a fight to survive in the midst of many big teams.

Their focus wavered when it was difficult to take the pressure with speculation kicks made Villarreal players but in this match in addition to the penalty 3 goals that occurred created quite good for me where there are 2 goals that occurred for shots from outside the penalty box and another plesing good enough so that even though this result is a draw but I think Racing must be confident for this season.

On the other hand their striker Andres Martin I think has quite good potential, last season he scored 23 goals in the 41 games he did, although this is not too striking but for a player who is in a club that is not too striking it is quite good.

This is a loss for Villarreal but it is also a concern for them because with a draw in the first match for La Liga this indicates that they have to prepare harder especially their position last season was very good and if they want to repeat that performance then they have to be even better, the season is still quite long but the start is not too good can disrupt the mentality.

They beat Malaga 2–0, who have returned to LaLiga after eight years and picked up all three points in their opening match.
It was a difficult game for Malaga. It's really unfortunate for a newly promoted team to have to face such a strong opponent in their very first match, but there's nothing they can do about it.
Hopefully, after such a long absence, Malaga can manage to stay in the league.

Atletico is playing the usual game, patient and careful on defense. It took until the 70th minute for them to score again. Kang-in Lee put on a show in his debut match. Lefty players who cut inside from the right wing have always been dangerous. He created a great angle for himself and scored a great goal. The other goal also came from bench. Baena entered the game at the same time as Lee and he scored a great free kick. I think we may see both goals in the goal of the week voting.

It looks like Simeone will make the most of his bench this season. The team's depth looks good. Alvarez wasn't on the roster for this game. If he leaves the team, they might sign a forward. They say he's out because he's not physically ready, but it's not in your best interest to force a player who wants to leave to stay on the team.

I agree with this list. I would add Bayern Munich to the list. They make up my top 5.
Barcelona has not gotten a striker. The kind of striker they buy, if they buy a striker, will determine if I can tip them to win the Chmapions League. Their defense needs another quality FB, but they can manage with what they have. The midfield is settled. What they need right now is a striker.

I also believe Barcelona has teh better chance of winning the league. Madrid may have the better individuals, but the barcelona team is a better team and I don't trust Mourinho. What I know is that the rivalry between both clubs will be more interesting this season.

Atletico Madrid too wasn't as sharp as I expected in the first 45'mins, they were just all over the pitch without any pressure to get a goal but they were lucky that Malaga wasn't as good as Barcelona if not the game in the first would have been against them being the host. From this performance I expect Malaga to give us a different performance because they now know their weakness and that is the final touch to get a goal, they had chances but it wasn't going as they planned. ATM now have a better squad that I can say they can turn the outcome of any game in their favor, lovely game though, the aggressiveness they came with in the second half was what gave them the two goals because Malaga couldn't withstand the pressure for long, they had to break down for ATM to get the win, 3pt secured on to the next game.

Julián Álvarez deal to Barcelona is not going to work out as it is right now and Barcelona have began exploring another alternative of getting a striker into the team, Atletico Madrid have been reluctant on the transfer deal and for that Barcelona have to rull out the talks for now, may be in January their may return to negotiations table but now they have moved to sort for available alternative.

Barcelona seems to have been planing something from the beginning when they were making a move on Julian Alvarez because when Barcelona have not signed Rodri they were still interested in Julian Alvarez but it was after the deal was completed they develop a cold feet on Julian Alvarez because of the experience of Rodri, Barcelona made a bad choice backing down from signing Julian Alvarez because even if they think that their squad could defeat any team but they would definitely see the need for him later because is no longer Lewandowski only but Ferran Torres has also left for another team so that's two strong forward they lost.

Atletico Madrid played really bad in the first half and i was thinking they might drop points in this match and in the second half once there were a few good subs they started playing really well and it was one sided just and two beautiful goals sealed the deal for Atletico Madrid. Malaga also played really solid and if they were playing someone weaker they would have gotten some points.

Mbappe does his job which is to score, other players needs to step up and fill in their spot as well for the team to move forward. I believe they all need to keep their differences aside and focus on the team, I also believe that's why it's Mourinho that's the coach, to help the player not see themselves as enemies but play together as a unit, their season will soon kick off and over the next few months, some of us will keep close tabs on them to see how good or bad they have been.

Let's say that the idea of the fans signing a petition asking to remove Mbappé from the team doesn't really make sense.
Also because in this way you put your own attacker in even more condition and difficulty, who you should instead give more trust to and not belittle him if you want him to perform at his best. Therefore, i think that for a team to function well, it must be supported by its fans.

Why on Gods green earth will some fans go as far as forcing such a toxic environment on their star striker, what kind of twisted fan base is that, Mbappe has been delivering to the best of his ability, I mean the guy scores goals and play his heart out on the pitch, one thing some of those fans that took the ridiculous step to write their pointless petition on Mbappe fails to understand is that football is a collective effort and even the best of strikers needs a very solid and stable foundation to strive.

And from the look of things if the fans are a bit patient, I am 100 percent certain that Jose Mourinho will make good effort to instill some level of discipline and unity into those players, the fans needs to show that they believe in his project rather than looking for who to use as a scapegoat for their accumulated displeasure. The fans should not destroy Kylian's confidence this season. Beside the whole last season issues were clearly a team problem not specific to any individual.

 Atletico Madrid were secure three points from Malaga and it was such a dramatic one if I must say because at some point in the game I almost concluded that it would end in a draw as the visitors didn't give them any chance to score in the first half. Out of the three promoted sides, Malaga were the only team that could not get a point and I wonder how this is going to affect them going forward.
 New signing, Lee Kang-In opened the scoring at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano stadium after he was able to dribble past three player before finding the right corner of the post with a powerful shot, then Alex Baena settled the game for them with a beautiful shot from a free kick. What a way to open the league with a comfortable win and a clean sheet to boot.
