Real Madrid has several star players in their team maybe sometime they don't know the right position to play these players. Real Madrid has experience their second defeat in the Laliga which is not good for a team that want to win the Laliga tittle, i think they had a bad game, Huijsen second half red card added to what Real Madrid suffered this evening, i believe if not for that red ATM wouldn't have dominated Real Madrid in this game, they couldn't even have control of the ball again after Huijsen was sent off. Anyway red card is part of the game but we can't still write them off as tittle contenders.

Everything is fine, but only when the game is played cleanly from the start. Playing against 11 players, a head referee, and a full VAR system is a disadvantage that's difficult to overcome when playing football for just one club.

Let's break it down:

1.- A clear red card that they refused to call when the Atlético de Madrid player made a full studs-up challenge on Bellingham's leg.

2.- A red card that wasn't shown for another studs-up challenge on Valverde's ankle.

If Valverde had thrown himself to the ground and made a scene like many do, perhaps the opponent would have received a red card. But since he decided to continue playing—because sometimes football needs more playing and less complaining—it was an easy job for the referees.

The unbelievable thing is a yellow card (deserved for Huijsen) and then a penalty, because the defender had actually let Giuliano go, he couldn't catch him anymore, which seems fair enough. But to give him a red card just for interrupting his run, grabbing him, minor contact that's sometimes normal in the box—a red card?

I have to say it again, Atletico Madrid of this modern age is not the Atletico Madrid of the historical records. What is happening in football currently is something really alarming.

In a way, I congratulate Atlético de Madrid; they won with a series of rather dubious criteria. In the end, the winner isn't the one who deserves it, but the one who manages to score the goals, even if it comes with a little help.

I must say that this game did not go as expected but then, José Morinho should do better. They were saved from conceding more goals by courtois and I still maintain that Morinho has not hit the changes the team needs for this season. Loosing two games does not render a team hopeless. If they make the necessary improvements, they will still do better and win the league but they have to be better as they're already aware that even the officials are against them.

Currently I would say no one would argue about the fact that Barcelona are clear favorites for the title but let’s be realistic this is seven games into season and with a possible 31 games to go and as such if we look at it mathematically then six points off the table doesn’t mean the league is lost already. Real Madrid need to reassess themselves and ultimately bounce back after the international break.

But looking at in another direction this Barcelona looks unstoppable with the current attack they have but let’s not forget that we have seen Barcelona blow up a whole 7 to 11 points gap before and even if they score for free I am still not convinced with their defense which to me is what will win them the league

With the current situation, I have serious doubts about Real Madrid. Their loss to Atlético was truly frustrating. Just one of many defeats they’ve suffered over the past few seasons. The problem isn't simply that Real Madrid received a red card. Just consider that even in the first half! Before the red card. They were very difficult immensely to break down Atlético’s defense. They seemed completely overwhelmed by Atlético’s style of play.

So, what can be expected when they face Barcelona? Barca has been absolutely awesome in every match. They are incredibly solid. The players show great respect for one another and for their coach, and they are easy to manage. Plus, they are currently on fire. In my opinion, Real Madrid’s chances of winning are small enough. Barcelona seems much more likely to come out on top. Though, of course, we won't know the reality until the El Clásico actually takes place.

A lot of things haven’t been working for Real Madrid this season, from coaching to playing style and the players performance itself, everything has been poor. I once said that Mourinho’s time had passed and there’s much he can do now, maybe get back discipline to the team but the strategic planning and decisions is lacking.

Barcelona would most likely win the la'liga title again this season from the look of performance Real Madrid are struggling with already it's enough to agree that the team hasn't built the powerhouse strong enough to withstand Barcelona. There were lots of  referee errors too in decisions to the game which also influences the outcome of the game for Atletico Madrid. There was a boot stamp by an ATM player on Valverde which should have being a red card if referee made a VAR review on that action but it was overlooked. I would say the refereeing decision (plus VAR invention) influenced the game negatively for Madrid, although that shouldn't be an excuse for their loss today. From all I have analysed in this game, any team or club that can defensively close down on Mbape and Vini will most likely get the result against Madrid. The issue is that Madrid's midfield today can not be compared to when they had players like Modric and Kroos; this present midfield lacks overall creativity, therefore, they always rely on their wings for counter attacks. Unfortunately, Athletico were quick to read the game and thereby outperform Madrid in general play.

Morinho still has alot to do if he is going to succeed with this present squad. A quick view on their overall performance, it can be seen that they lack the motivation to play as a team; players like Mbappe and Vini don't track back to press when they lose possession of the ball. I am now beginning to understand why Enrique wanted Mbappe out at PSG. If they (Vini and Mbappe) continues like this, then Madrid's faith will be the same as last season.

I think we can easily notice a big difference between the two clubs: Barcelona are a real team, they have a lot of chemistry and they are a strong group; on the other hand we have Real Madrid, a team that is literally divided in groups, with two huge primadonnas such as Mbappé and Vinicius. Common don't panic, this is just the early start of La Liga and there's still time for Real Madrid to bounce back to epic form, I think their problem is simple, they're not playing like a team and this is causing the hugh loss. Real Madrid just need to do better this season because all eyes are on them and imagine a big club like Real Madrid going trophyless again for the third time in a row, it will raise so many questions and we know where all fingers will point out, to Kylian Mbappe for not meeting up and he will be dragged for all the unfortunate bad results happening to the club this season.

Atletico De Madrid is not that good if you ask me but they're just playing like a team and besides, hosting Real Madrid at the metropolitano stadium, that's a solid ground for ATM to compete and win games, they've always become the best team to come out in the Madrid derby in the past two seasons.

I’m convinced with the current Barca form they’re not ready to drop any point now, and for Real Madrid players they’re Always saying that the season is still early to decide but they have forgotten that it’s also too early for them to start dropping points carelessly the way they’re doing especially for a club who wants to win a trophy this season after being trophyless for the past 3 seasons. Last season, Barca only needed just 8 points to win the league ahead of Real Madrid and just now already they’re 6 points ahead. Barca don’t lose too many games easily in that league the way Real Madrid are losing, and even if Barca should start dropping points tomorrow what’s the possibility that Real Madrid will win all their matches without dropping points along the line also. For me I think Real Madrid players should be ashamed of themselves considering the amount the club spent to bring them on and it will be a failure if Madrid doesn’t end up winning the la liga this season.

Before the red card, it was an even game, but after red card Atlético completely started to dominate the match, and they managed to score. Atlético also have a very solid defense, and towards the end of the game it became clear that Real Madrid were heading for their second defeat. I think that considering the excellent form Barcelona are in and the fact that they are already ahead of Real Madrid, it could mean that Mourinho’s chances of winning the La Liga title are becoming much smaller right now.
