I wont use this little show to compare him to Vinicius. But one thing, I can tell you is that he is a promising winger. He has the ability to do greater things in the future. I think Mourinho is clearly still trying to figure out how much rope to give to the both of them at the same time. He probably wants to keep the confidence high in the big money kid and not shut Vini out after the ban, but nights like this show that the balance between Diomande and Vini isn’t quite there yet and if the discomfort continues, the way they’re both gonna be rotated for play is gonna have to be more clearer, otherwise their good form is under the risk of getting disrupted more often than it should.

The good thing is that Real Madrid is always proactive in replacing talents with talents also. The case of Vinicious Junior could have been more devastating if they hadn't signed players like Diomande who step in when the game gets difficult. Vinicious Junior lost his form after the world cup, coupled with his surgery which for me, I don't know if he's still same person we watched break down defences and believed to have won the Balon d'Or but got denied.

The real Madrid club also knows when best to let great talents go in order to change the team over time. Some players will always look irreplaceable but over time I believe José Morinho will start benching him until the second half except he improves his skills.

Atlético can't make it past 2 goals against Barcelona, but we all know that the opposition team would score with every little opportunity they have. The historical records don't lie, and there's a reason why Diego have been using the same pattern for years now. It's a defensive style of play and perhaps it serves the purpose for them? They won't go so far with that because they still need goals anyway.

Let's assume they get to defeat Barcelona on Sunday, it's an easy catch up for Madrid because Valencia is like a league B team, just like Alavés. As for losing to Bayern, I really don't know what the prediction markets expected that they gave the two teams almost an identical odd. A team that plays an attacking football all-year round will always be better off.

Diomande is overpriced as hell. What are you talking about? He was signed for 125 million. Total potential value of 140 million. How is that not overpriced? The fact that English teams spend that much on players doesn't mean they are not overpriced. Take Liverpool, for example; all their attackers are overpriced, the same way Diomande is overpriced.

As for disappointed, I can't say he has disappointed, because it's still too early, but so far, he has not played like a 140 million player. He is only playing because Vinicius is out of form. Previously, he was a bench player, and so far he has 4 goals and 4 assists. For any 100 million signing, these are not the kind of numbers you expect from a Madrid winger. He is a good dribbler, but I don't think there is much more to his game to make him worth 140 million.

Vini has proved his capabilities in past. It is also true that he is fantastic player. But you have to admit that ever since Mbappe joined the squad, Vini's form has dropped. His performance has consistently gone downhill, and he is in his worst form this season. In this situation , Diomande has emerged as worthy  replacement for him. This youngster has already proven his capability . Since these two play in the same position, comparisons are naturally being made between them.

More importantly, if Vini's performance does not improve, there is strong possibility that Madrid will decide to sell him. This is because Vini is paid extremely high wages, which are even much  higher than those of Bellingham and Valverde. Real Madrid certainly would not want  to bench such a high-earning player  and keep paying his wages.

I think it's normal for fans to compare Vini with Diomande.. because Vini is one of Real Madrid's key players and fans have high hopes that he can perform at his best... But, his performance has dropped and he can't perform to his full potential.. Even when he started against AEK, he wasn't that good.. It's actually Mbappe and Bellingham who are still contributing more to the team.. Mounrinho know what he's doing,  Mounrinho doesn't care you are star player if you are not in good form he won't start a match with you.
