I'm trying to mine monero on miningpoolhub with with xmr rig miner.
Keeps saying DNS error: "unknown node or service"
What do i need to put in the config file or what I'm doing wrong?

Try: https://xmrig.com/wizardThanks that worked. Is there a way i can also gpu mine while xmr rig is cpu mining? Do i have to let one core/thread free on the cpu so the desktop can be more responsive? Thanks

Like i said before 1st 6hours paid good, the 12 hours double decrease rewards, now it is looks like CN4 again )) People who were too exited where are you? 3930k made on CN4 300h/s = 0.10$ Now on RandomX 1750h/s = 0.20$ ))) woooowww profit doubled.... Can someone help me to survive little more, i have problem with this. Benchmark shows 2300h/s but it mines at 1750h/s, MB msi x79 gd45 plus 32gb RAM + 32 GB virtual memory.win10 64bit 2nd problem xmrstak show error at the beginning ALOCMEMORY FAILED. what is this?

Try xmrig.com/wizard to get your initial config.json then just run it and it'll update the config for your CPU and start mining. P.S. Of course it can only achieve this hashrate if you've enabled huge pages in your OS.

Yet, if you plan to do only cpu mining with XMRig and mine something else with your GPU then indeed you will have to let one core/thread to handle both miners, you will have to test to find best balance.

Thx, been debating this or a 1920x or a 3600 for a htpc that will background hash. So Ryzen lineup is heavily bandwidth dependent? I'm aware that ryzen performance curve peaks at ~3600 ram spd so is that we are seeing with randomx as well? my 1920x got around 7kh/s. overall the build was $500-700. Amazon has a deal going for $200 for the 1920x. I probably went overboard with the amount of ram. I thought it needed 2 gb per thread... no, its 2gb per numa node. and 1920x is just 1 node. So you could get away with 8gb to 16 gb prolly. Some help on setup my rig is under preforming big time. i have a threadripper

I have antec kuhler 920 which drives me crazyzzzz.it is very loud, it has sounds like asic working around.I hate this antec kuhler 920.i think antec engineers did this cooler from their ,,,ss Cpu tem is 65C

You can see the help file of XMRIG. xmrig.exe --help use CPU + AMD GPU +NV GPU xmirig.exe ...... --opencl --cuda

Some help on setup my rig is under preforming big time. i have a threadripper I have found out that my first gen ryzens and threadripper gets a few hundred more hashes using only physical cores instead of trying to utilize all of the cache so for example: 1920x -t 12, --cpu-affinity 0x555555, Going from 2666 to 3200 ram gave better performance with 16 threads. R5 1600 -t 6, --cpu-affinity 0x555 this for xmrig. you can also try set higher cpu priority . --cpu-priority set process priority (0 idle, 2 normal to 5 highest) Latest version should also give 2-3% better hashrate.

Gen 1 have a smaller cache so fewer threads. I'm always dubious about boosting CPU priority. It shouldn't make a difference, but if it does it indicates a problem with other processses. Better to deal with those processes.
