I can understand their anxiety. Honestly, it won't be bad to hodl if you can see your cryptocurrency assets maintain a steady price. Volatility in price movement between 20% - 50% would not be so bad. But the moment you start seeing the price of your holding coins falling on a regular basis as much as 200%, then it raises a huge call for worry.

You can say that again and we are all guilty of this, people are quick to dump and complain when the price is going down, when it is but a natural phase of the coin, investors go out and new investors are coming and some investors sell a portion for profit, this scenario creates an impact on the coin and people are thinking the dev is scamming its investors when, they see price going down, even though there are developments going on.

Indeed, 2017 is a good year for crypto investors but the conditions are different now from 2017 and this makes many investors both new and old can't wait for price increases like what happened in 2017. I think this year it takes more patience to hold our altcoins because there are a lot of altcoins whose prices are falling very deep

All of that is called Losses and Profits. I agree that in crypto investments you cannot immediately get profits for only a short time and indeed they all have a long process.

With very low of funds they expect more and more return which is not possible in crypto or any other asset class. The new investors join with high expectations. Remember this, they are "new". They go to know about bitcoin from people who made a very nice and hefty profit. They saw the price rising insanely over the years. Thus, they now expect the price to keep on rising. They don't understand that the price may fall also (since they see the average growth through out the years!). As a result, after investing, they become too anxious when they see the price staying stable or starts to panic when they see the price dropping even a little bit.

It's just a matter of time only that ROI will soon them get back after a time this "crisis" is over. Some people are not suitable to be long term investors because they do not have good patience. Though in the Crypto world, patience is the key to getting profit.

IEO has the fastest return of investment so far than ICO projects which i think its makes it worth the shot but i as a person is in for long term hold,its a matter of choice either long term or short term

Due to the rate of project failures these days, investors are always on red alert, some of these projects even have good ratings. I really don't blame new investors so much for experience has taught some a bad lesson.

Just like the market situation where it changes from time to time, their experience does not mean to be the same outcome the next time they invest.
Their experience makes them wiser as they continue their journey, and most new investors has a high change of failing due to lack of experience which is the most important when it comes to investing in crypto as it's pretty different here, it is more risky compared to other investment and the market is so unpredictable.

Being impatient is one big hindrance to success, they have to be patient and be matured, investment if it will give short term return then better, but if not, investors should hold and wait.
