Why hasn't any altcoin replaced bitcoin?

Bitcoin is a trusted coin in cryptocurrency and bitcoin popularity continues to increase compared to Altcoin, and besides that bitcoin is the first digital coin in the world and Altcoin is just an alternative coin that wants to follow the development of bitcoin, so for whatever reason Altcoin won't be able to change the position of bitcoin and bitcoin is the father of cryptocurrency and Altcoin is his children.

Altcoin is a bridge for everyone to get Bitcoin for free or trade, so I think to replace Bitcoin is very difficult, because most people already believe in Bitcoin very much and of course the price is very high even though at the moment, Bitcoin prices are low, at least the price of Bitcoin is not comparable to prices in 2013, so that's why I think why Bitcoin will never be replaced by Altcoin which has a great power in it ...

You're wrong. Bitcoin is the father of all the coins here and altcoins are just clones from bitcoin, having its name Altcoins that means Alternative coins, they are clones and forks according to the article that I've read in quora, in Math, bitcoin is the original equation and Altcoins are just the derived equations from it, without bitcoin, blockchain and all of other cryptocurrencies would not exist.

Its just a replica of Bitcoin, no other cryptocurrency will be equal to bitcoin. bitcoin created a lot of history for itself, and we all see that. We all see how great it is to be replace by some altcoin for some reason.

Part of it is that developers of the alts relentlessly dump the coins at the first opportunity and people figure, if the developers are selling this coin has no long term future.

For example Charles Lee sold all of his litcoin at the peak back in 2017. As a result alts never gain traction because their own developers arn't really in it for the long term.

The reason why any altcoin did not replaced bitcoin because it is more valuable than any altcoin that it reach it's price from $20k in the year of 2017 and goes down in the year of 2018. But even bitcoin's price have decreased there is still a huge chance that bitcoin will recover it's price again from $20k in the near future.

All of the altcoins are successful it's just cannot surpass the market price of bitcoin. Bitcoin has the biggest innovations because when there is a beginner in the crypto world, only the bitcoin is the first that was being introduced because it is popular, then followed by the altcoins.

Comes down to 3 main reasons why BTC will always be top dog of the crypto world:

1. Experience, BTC was the first ever coin to be popular and was the first coin to have a decent market for it in crypto.

2. Technology, bitcoin has always had good motives (decentralisation) and to this day has a loyal group of developers that keep everything updated.

3. Adoption, BTC has actually grown into a state where many companies and countries are starting to take it in and give it the adoption it needs.

One of the clear reasons why Bitcoin has stayed  the KING of all cryptocurrencies for a very long time is because of the huge demand on its use. Almost every cryptocurrency  out there is listed against it as a trading pair. There are countless number of online shops that accept only Bitcoin as mode of payment. The only way any altcoins possibly ETH can overthrow BTC is to have such a huge demand and I don't really see this happening any moment from now so better hold some BTC and wait for the bull run

in my opinion because from the beginning bitcoin was a pioneer in cryptocurrency and people know cryptocurrency from bitcoin so everyone is more familiar with bitcoin while altcoin is just a "duplication" of bitcoin. and I think that at any time bitcoin will still be irreplaceable because bitcoin developers will continue to make the bitcoin system even better in the future and don't forget the community of bitcoin is also very influential in this matter.

Exactly. It's obvious that Bitcoin is still the #1 cryptocurrency on the market, since it has been the pioneer in the Blockchain industry. Other cryptocurrencies are simply considered as "copies" of the original idea/project which is Bitcoin. No matter how hard altcoins try in adopting new and exciting features, they'll never surpass the "King of Crypto" in the future. Many people trust Bitcoin on top of other altcoins simply because it's the most secure and resilient cryptocurrency to date. Despite its slowness in transaction processing time, and high network fees, Bitcoin is the store of value that no one would miss nowadays.

While all of this is true, altcoins still have a future if they manage to deliver constant development and innovation. They could easily complement Bitcoin in ways where it cannot fulfill certain tasks. One good example of this is Ethereum which is a platform for decentralized applications (aka dApps). Since Bitcoin doesn't have smart contract functionality, Ethereum could fulfill the tasks Bitcoin cannot accomplish within the mainstream world. Combine them together, and you'll obtain wonderful results in crypto land.

Nonetheless, as Bitcoin grows in mainstream adoption, it becomes harder for altcoins to replace it. The only way this could happen is if Bitcoin fails altogether. But so far, it's been doing great without disruptions whatsoever. With a proven track record of stability and reliability, Bitcoin could remain as the world's largest cryptocurrency by market cap. Hence, altcoins will simply stand behind the pioneer cryptocurrency for years to come. Just my thoughts

I think you're wrong, Bitcoin is not the fastest in terms of transactions, there are many Altcoins whose processing speed exceeds Bitcoin.  the exact reason why Altcoin is unable to replace Bitcoin is that Altcoin is just a CLONE of Bitcoin that is trying to take part in the crypto market with better innovation, and cloning will not be able to replace the first.

I agree if you say that bitcoin is one of humanity's biggest innovations in the last few years and many altcoins were made after bitcoin. if you ask, why is there no altcoin that can replace bitcoin, of course there will be many reasons to answer it. among them, in my opinion because bitcoin is more influential. like a currency, bitcoin can be likened to USD and altcoin is like another country's currency. for the stability level of bitcoin is also still better than altcoin, so it will be impossible if altcoin will replace bitcoin. If you compare bitcoin with a television, car or cellphone, I think it's the wrong comparison and the unwise comparison, because all of that is an item or device, while bitcoin is the currency.

There are some basic reasons behind this argument, Bitcoin has been introduced both itself and blockchain system at a time, also Bitcoin has introduced the cryptocurrency towards the whole world, at first, people knew about Bitcoin and then other cryptocurrencies, So Bitcoin has a special acceptance around the world and it has created an established position already, it's normal perception that other cryptocurrencies are just the copies from Bitcoin so it's really difficult for an Altcoin to get replaced of Bitcoin. I think it's a matter of acceptance and credibility, So regarding this issue, Bitcoin is out of competition with other altcoins, since the pioneer of this blockchain system, it will not get replaced in the future also.

If Satoshi will access his wallet with 1 million Bitcoin and spend it, he is no different from the other developers but he choose not, and that sets him apart from the other developers, we can really say that Bitcoin was developed as a gift to us, there is o comparison between Bitcoin and these altcoins and with over 645 market dominance, we have the proof.
