Do not listen what some people say. Do you own research, analysis, learning. If you are convinced that it will down to $1000 then isn't it wise to sell the BTC you have now and buy again? With the price you will get I think you can buy 10x amount of BTC then.

For how many month or years to do you hold your BTC? If you hodl from 2018 then you might think to hodl more, and wait until bitcoin halving.

Bitcoin price will not lower from 4k$ which is the average cost of mining equipment.

I agree we all have different opinion you would see that there would be some people who would tell you to sell and there are some who would tell you to hold.
So you should be the one to decide on your money it would be your loss or gain so you are the one who should know how to manage it.

If you're not sure about Bitcoin as an investment, then you probably should not hope for the best and risk it. Bitcoin is very volatile, and it's hard not to sell when you see it going down even if you're a Bitcoin believer. Manage (take responsibility for) your money, think about the risks, make sure you're not investing more than you can afford to lose, try to buy low and sell high. These are important rules of investing, and even though they are simple, I don't think you should neglect them.
I am a believer, and I don't find it likely that Bitcoin will even drop below $6k again, let alone to $1k. But nobody can know for sure, so it's good if you decide in advance for yourself at which lowest and highest prices you're definitely selling your coins.

$1000 bear calls?! it might have been believable in november/december last year, but not anymore.

the market rising ~340% off the bottom basically closed the door on the bear market. it's over. at the very worst, we're looking at high $7000s or low $8000s IMO. and that's a tossup, not guaranteed at all.

I actually haven't seen anyone talk about $1000 levels after the April pump from $4000 to $5000. Most of the bears turned into bulls the moment we blasted through the $6000 mark which was considered an iron wall.

Looking at OPs reaction, it apparently still pays off for trolls to scare people by throwing around with ridiculously low prices. Probably loser trolls who didn't manage to buy in the $3000s and now try to drag others down with them.

Just look at the whales today they were the first adaptors of Bitcoin before that hodl their BTC until they never noticed that the price suddenly skyrocketed to the moon. Do you still think you have to sell them all because you believe of what they were saying to you? You might wanna regret it in the future if you did that because i've seen so many people regretted their decision in the past for selling their BTC.

You contradict yourself. You said that you are a holder then why are you afraid of selling if the price goes to $1k? I thought holder as people that will stay through thick and think, but it looks like you are just another speculator who gets nervous when the price suddenly slips. Don't listen to those people who are saying that bitcoin will fall to $1k. If you believed in them, then you already lost in this game. Just put your bitcoin in your wallet and then come back after two years and see how it goes for you.

If i heard it from someone or some people, i will make it as something that make me put target in how minimal i will sell my bitcoins. But if still on range that not reach my target, maybe i will keep to hold my bitcoin until i get max price on my target. I think what we should believe in this business is ourself. Because when we easy to believe other people, they will easily make an advantage from it and they wouldn't care if we get profit or lose.

there are lots of people online that are constantly saying dumb things. if all of them were true then no market would have ever existed! in this case there have been so many others who were saying it will reach $1 million this year!
it is just nonsense and most of the times it is from people who are egagerating because they want some of their orders to be filled. for instance they want to buy at $9900 so they scare others into thinking it will dump to $1000.

Although this is ridiculous but everything possible in crypto-currency. For me I don't believe that bitcoin would touch $1K anymore. We should not listen them who tell bitcoin would touche $1K or bitcoin will touch $100K. Be practical and go with trend. Although everything is possible but it doesn't mean that will happen tomorrow. So get your profit whenever you can, no need to listen FOMO or FUD.

My first question would be: Why did you buy it in the first place?
You should study the fundamentals, as i am highly bullish and could say the opposite for the price, but why would you believe random people with targets?
If you are really interested about Bitcoin, you should do yourself a favor and look for the fundamentals on why it should go up or down.

I can't imagine btc falling back to $1,000 that it had a milestone of the beginning of a superlative bull  in early 2017. If it does get to that, it means a great fall for cryptocurrency.

Do what you want to do with it but plan first what is your expectation.

Do you want to hodl for long term? Then set a timeframe for this.
Do you want fast profit? Set your profit margin for this.
What is the amount you are willing to lose? Set this as your stoploss.

BTC is keeping 10K maybe will be further correct like 10% or even 20% but after that btc will move strongly up near ATH price
So relax  and don't lesson people what trying to cause your fear
