ICOs 2019: A Year Of Success or Failure?

I think this year will be a continuation of last year's bad performance of ICO.
People fear ICO because of the report that big portion of ICO are scams, and with the popularity of IEO, that make ICO obsolete now.
I don't see a chance ICO will recover, unless there's a strong regulation on ICO that will gain the confident of the investors back.

For now, we can expect that IEO will continue its popularity and until there's no platform that will compete, it will continue to grow and might become as big and as popular as ICO in the old days.

Though this year is not yet over, but I can see that it's a big failure of ICO this year, in overall.

By far, 2017 was indicative and the best for ICO. Now we are witnessing a decline and this I think is expected, since the crypto market itself has now sagged very much. I see that when there is another growth, investor interest will return and we will be able to see a new surge in success growth. In general, it must be recognized that crypto indutria is developing and will continue to do so. The only thing can not be all the time good, especially when it comes to cryptocurrencies. History shows that after each fall, the market grew and showed new heights.

i hear that icos are going pretty okay it is a lot harder to run an ico now and harder to market but they seem to still be raising decent funding mainly for institutional investors it would seem

How would you sum up ICOs in 2019 so far?

So far it's bad and could turn worse before the end of the year, I've been participating in so many ICO bounty campaign and 8 out of 10 ICO are failed, scam and weak projects, I will not be surprised if there will be no ICO next year, it's not attractive anymore, nothing on it that will make us invest and get profit.

It will always be. I think in this year (with IEO) more better than before.

However my method to invest not related with using ICO,STO, or even IEO. IEO not give any warranty that the project will be success in the future, so although the project listed as IEO, i will not believe their project for 70%. If i interested with the project desription, project plan and also team has reputable story, i will choose it as my investment token. For me, that's not diffrent between ico / ieo, just method to collecting money is diffrent

In the year of 2019 the ICO market is if nit that mush of worst but also not given that much of expected return to the investors. Also some ICOs were came false. But only few may be 2 or 3 projects are gone very challenging. Miracle Tele And the going on ICOs Asset Stream is a very good project which are also giving a passive income for their investment. Some coming later at the end of the year more security token ICO or the IEO will come for the good sake of the investors.

We rarely see a successful ICO. and for IEO itself is more dominant this year because this is still a new method and is trusted by many people to be able to invest. but also IEO itself has failed or even Scam

What happened to the ICO phenomenem of 2017? The craze which swept the crypto world and brought crypto based investment on a mass scale never seen before has subsided.

ICOs are still happening but with less fanfare and there does not seem to be any investor appetite probably because the amount of scams hugely outnumbering legitimate projects.

Add to that the number of bounty participants being scammed by the ICO project operators it stands to reason they are not promoting ICOs which has also contributed to the lack of ICO success.
 
IEOs have started to kick in and that too has made ICOs less appealing.

Currently, almost all new projects choose the IEO method for the sale of tokens. There may still be a number of ICOs being held but it seems investors prefer the IEO method because it might be safer for investors and also more quickly traded on the market.
There may be a number of ICOs that can achieve the soft cap target in 2019 but from what I know they want to try the IEO method so that the hard cap target can be achieved

At this time, we still haven't confirmed the success of the ICO this year, because until now, there are still some ICOs that are developing. however, it is very true when we look at existing data, since 2017, that the decline in the development of ICO is really visible.

in addition, IEO also currently appears as a competitor for ICO, where IEO has advantages that ICO does not currently have. besides, IEO is starting to dominate. I think that is quite reasonable, considering that quite a number of investors are disappointed with ICOs that are becoming scams. however, projects currently under construction will improve the quality of the former ICO, so we cannot be sure whether this year's ICO is successful or not.

I heard that the ICO MiricaleTELE was very successful and the project works well. but recently I found out that the project’s CEO has left the telegram chats and token holders cannot withsraw dividends.

Same here,the only ICO i could have guaranteed it success this year so far is only miracle tele project,the ICO was indeed a success but now its becoming more like bitconnect,the CEO cant be trusted,he sent a mail to all TELE holders that teams are going for holiday and sim cards stop working so far,im starting to lose hope in crypto

2019 has been a successful year for crypto holders because of the increase from the begining of the year, but ICOs have not been really successful yet because of the investors panic on putting money into ICOs.

As I thought, ICO has switched to IEO which means it has not called that way. Anyway, I can say it's a failure since there are still projects that succeed in delivering good profit to investors.

The only success story that I have heard of projects this year is the ones from IEO platform, and their story was still all centered on money and not the project that was released by them. Most projects that got released or would I say registered on binance platform had some massive sales that made their value to increase, so some investor actually got like 400% increase on their investment, but to me, that is not the success.

The success that I would count is the one that will make me see that the product being released is massively gaining attention and causing lots of demands after being released, but I have never seen that of any project this year and I feel this year ICO has failed seriously like the previous year, most ICO that we have now, has no demands from the outside world.

We can see that some of the IEO projects in large exchanges have had success but the profit gained by investors is getting smaller, it seems the hype about IEO has decreased

This is not the perfect time to say failure and to predict what will happen to ICO this year cause 2019 isn't ended yet and to have our conclusions. Though it looks like that ICO never gives a big deal for us, it is something to say that some of them remain at its market potential.

However, the change we look with ICO performance has nothing to greatly expect with. We're not trying to disclose any possibility of its success but seeing its performance nowadays, feel not really good.

There has been a few short successes of ICOs here and there but not enough to make people want to go back into it. Especially when you consider the fact that Miracletele had a successful ICO this year but the CEO chose to abscond with investors money

Most developers abused ICO immediately after the bull run in 2017/18, this really caused a setback and failures to many ICO in 2019, in my opinion IEO owns 2019. Many projects that did ICO failed in 2019 and most are even trading far below ICO price

Some Ico succeed this year and some failed and I really noticed it switch into IEO which other investors adopt. In my point of view, I cannot say as a whole performance Ico’s this year really a failure but it turns out has less well known in crypto industry.

There is no point, this year was a complete failure. But a benefic one, because we got rid of a lot of scammer.
Now we can start again, in a better way.

we cannot judge that this year is a failed year for ICO or is a good year for ICO. because if you look at 2017, it's clearly seen the difference from the conditions of a successful ICO project. This year may be bad for the ICO project, because of the lack of investor confidence, but there are some ICOs that are still successful, that means, this year the ICO is not dead and can still be trusted.
