Sorry for the possible duplicate of the topic, but I did not find the answer to my question, so I’ll ask him here. I want to use the ability to write and read messages from a work computer or some other, how much probability is it that I will get a ban on ip if someone else also uses this ip on the forum.

I'm pretty sure it's 0.

You don't get banned for using an IP of a banned user and alts are allowed. So why would you?

I'm pretty sure if you are already registered and then you log in from an IP that has Units of Evil associated with it you will be fine. It would only be a problem if you were registering a new account. I don't believe the forum chases after IP's to enforce Ban Evasion, so you shouldn't have to worry about being linked to anything like that either.

As earlier stated, you won't go banned for using an IP associated with units of evil when you're already a registered forum member.
As a side note, you should put into consideration the safety of your account when logging in on different devices, it increases the risk of your account being compromised.
Have you considered having an alt account for use when you away at work?

No, an evil IP means that IP used to generate so many accounts. If I correctly remembered, each IP allows to create three accounts, before forum will ask you to pay additional fees to be able to make posts (since the fourth account per one IP).

LoyceV created new account using Tor (just to test) and was required to pay fees due to evil IP.
Should Evil fees have a maximum?
You also can create an account with Proxy/VPN/Tor. It's not against the rules.

Of course, if you are lucky enough (happens frequently with Tor), the IP will be blacklisted. But this only happens when you are creating a new account under the blacklisted IP. After paying the fee and registering (or just logging in with your existent account), you can login to the account normally.

If you use Tor, you will know that your account will log in with randomly exit node on Tor network, it means that IP might be used so many times by you, and others. So, if you don't get ban by using Tor, you actually don't get ban by logging in and using your account on different computers, at work office, at home, at restaurants, whatsoever; and how evil those IPs are.

That's all. By now, there is no restriction or ban due to log in on evil IPs, and I guess forum will not change that approach base on the fact that people can not manage their log-in IPs when using Tor.
Example:
I must have at least 20 IPs associated with my account here. I travel a lot, and I use free WiFi at a a variety of restaurants like McDonalds, I use supermarkets, libraries, private houses, coffee bars, banks, and a few other places. The only thing that matters is you behaviour here, and I'm sure you will be fine, as you are taking the trouble to research first before you act.

You already know now that you do not get banned.

More good news for you is that you can even create multiple accounts and run both accounts whenever or however you want except abusing bounty and signature campaigns. The abuse is, joining the same with more than one account.

On a side note, you are a full member and yet not knowing the basic rules of the forum should be shameful : Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ

I hope you will spend sometimes to read above topic, no hurt feeling bud.

Cheers :-)

Other than registering an alt in a bounty campaign, you also should be aware that it's wrong and unacceptable to send merits to your alternative account(s)inorder to rank them up, it would not earn you a ban though, but a red flag(trust) on the both accounts, both the merited and the meriter account which would put the account in negative light.

I think that's about that you need to know about your initial question, if you ask me i think the thread can be locked right about now.

That's not accurate.

You can create as many accounts as you like on a single IP without ever having to pay fees, provided that IP has no units of evil to begin with. It's only if an account registered with that IP (or neighbouring IPs) gets banned that evil fees start to accumulate. See below:

When you register, the IP that you used when you submitted the registration form is used to calculate your evilness. The more frequently this IP or its neighbors were banned, the more evil is associated with your account.

Lets try some IP addys

McD Portsmouth O2 channel- 46.233.78.126
Mobile - 213.205.194.1
McD Portsmouth Free WiFi channel - 46.233.78.77
Tor IP address - 87.118.116.103

That's right now. I'll move away from Portsmouth shortly, so they will all be different in an hour or so.

It won't happen I use tor and vpns here from time to time and it doesn't do anything to whether you're banned. As long as you're connected to the actual site and it's ssl (so no one can hack your account) you should be fine.

[easiest way to check if you're on the right site is to click the padlock and check its comodo limited and that its bitcointalk.org).
