I think the best way to do this is to have your money distributed to the top 30 coins in the market
holding like 10-15 pcs each of the top ten , then holds like one hundred plus for the rest of the coins in top thirty
why is that? coins in the top ten , rally's everytime, so getting profit for the top ten, will gain profit and re-buy for the
coins from top 15 to 30, by doing so, you are making your portfolio bigger in the sense that there is a chance from that other coins to be at the top
remember alcoins are so volatile that it will suddenly the price spike up so high so make better decisions for your money and dont be greedy

You have good sight for quality crypto already. Your capital is however small and you might want to cut down the number of your altcoins a little bit. While you do so, you can go over your research booklet again to pick the ones with high probability of good performance.

Be careful on investing in multiple altcoins. I agree diversification spreads the risk but when the whole crypto market goes down, diversified altcoin holdings doesn't do you any good - Only keep a portion of your portfolio in altcoins.

Ok guys so I have 500 CAD left to invest in altcoins, I decided to invest 3000 CAD in bitcoin and leave it like that. So for that 500 CAD (377 USD), please tell me if this makes sense. I think it is not the best idea to invest in many coins now, since the market is bearish and it is expected that the market will fall further, I would now hold only btc and eth since these coins have a bullish trend.

ETH is more advantageous for the future among them, personally speaking, l would prefer only top altcoins instead of investing multiple altcoins. Of course, it is your choice and but to invest in some altcoins, it is not different from gambling. The best way is to focus on upper altcoins. Ziliqa and Basic Attention token are the good choices if you invest a small amount for diversifying the altcoin portfolio.
Dash, Chainlink, Eos are not investable now due to the recent market conditions and these mentioned coins already hit their all time high prices during the last bull market.

Never have invested to any projects during their pre-sale ICO/IEO. But the basis of how most of the investors relies on the project itself, what it offers and what it aims on why it has to be funded.
There are basis that relies on how reliable the people that are involved to that project and it's up on how you will study about their background carefully. Some were exposed from their past bad projects and how they got rekt being involved to that project that made their reputation bad.

Very high risk for new altcoins. Not not believe, it's just that we really have to be careful. What's more it hasn't been listed on the main exchange, but already talks of huge profits. Things like this that should be avoided, I agree that it is better to look for the top altcoin CMC.

I bought 3000 CAD worth of bitcoin, as for watching the coins. I<m not really gonna watch them..my goal is to keep them for years..but yeah I have too many can you say why i need to take out those specific coins ?

My advice for you is check on them at least on a weekly basis or maybe a month
who knows maybe your missing its pump time you will miss selling your CAD at its max price.
But if you really want to hold that for years then that's your decision.
