Investing in multiple altcoins

It is risky to invest in multiple altcoins, it is better if you will just invest in 4 altcoins for you to easily monitor your portfolio. Too much altcoins is really hard to handle so it is better if you will just buy few altcoins that are worth it.

Very simple advice but still true, I get the feeling that after a person reads a few books about trading he feels empowered and wants to make use of all his new acquired knowledge right away and that is a sure way to lose.

It is better to start your journey slow, during the first weeks only trade one coin and learn the most about that coin, then after sometime you can add some more coins and keep doing that until you reach a number of coins that feels comfortable for you.

Yes... this is something that I found out during 2018. It is not easy to track all of these coins and another issue is with securely storing all these coins/tokens. If they are ERC-20 tokens, then you can store them in MEW addresses. But in case of altcoins (such as Bitsend and GBYTE), the only viable option is to store them in exchange wallets (i.e if you don't want to install the desktop wallets for all of these coins).

And sometimes the altcoins don't even have lite wallets. When I was trying to invest in Cardano (ADA) in 2017, the only option available was to install the Daedalus wallet. I tried to install it, but it was consuming a lot of bandwidth and hard disk space and therefore I uninstalled it. Lite-wallets for Cardano are available now (such as Yoroi and AdaLite), but I have sold all my ADA by now.

I think only invest in the top coins that are available in this market because they are coins with good trading volume and little volatility so you can easily control. Currently in the crypto market there are thousands of choices for you but if you have a smart investment strategy and a good understanding, this is not a problem that you have to worry about. I personally have been involved in long-term investments for many years now and I tend to hold more than 10 coins in this market.

Ok guys so I have 500 CAD left to invest in altcoins, I decided to invest 3000 CAD in bitcoin and leave it like that. So for that 500 CAD (377 USD), please tell me if this makes sense. (I want to own a broad portfolio of multiple coins that have good odds for the future). All amounts are in USD for a total of $370. I'm open to suggestions.

To my understanding, that sounds too choke for your portfolio. No space to breathe for your wallet. You had better select few of them like 3 or lesser and buy. Also, check out DX token movement and see if its good for you. For me, best time to get in as ALTs seem bleeding a bit and DX stays stronger. Please do your own research as well.

I have about 60 coins in my portfolio and I continue to increase this amount and leave it for the long term. Now there are a lot of new projects that look good and I’m sure that in the future some of them will bring me huge profits

60 coins? Are you a full time investor? If not then how can you keep track of all your coins and know if you are getting profits or losses?

I have very few coins and yet I find difficult to keep track of them to the point sometimes I forget to check how they have been doing for months, consequently I am curious about how you can manage such a large portfolio and not get confused, maybe you are using an automated way to keep track of them or maybe you are doing so well as a trader that you have hired some people to help you with this.

I think this is a very difficult thing, giving advice to others. It's not that I don't want to, but I'm afraid that my advice will go wrong. It's better to just decide for yourself by looking at each of those coins which has the potential to rise next year. Maybe you better sort it into 3-5 coins that you want to invest. each gets a flat portion. To choose it, look at the top 10 coinmarketcap.

decided to hold more than 10 altcoins on the wallet for a long time, I thought wasn't a good enough idea. Well, even though you have a lot of popular coins, I don't think you will focus on collecting all of them, and that will certainly make you confused. I suggest holding back a few of these altcoins. even though it's a popular coin, choose a maximum of 4 coins so you can focus on collecting the hight amount. Personally, I only focus on bitcoin and ethereum. it allows me to collect more amounts than collecting more than 10 altcoins.

for some people its good if you have many project to invest in, for other just take one good project to invest. for me, invest in some good project that have good future. maybe two or three project, but dont forget always take bitcoin into your list. invest not only wait in some month, so take a big part on bitcoin.

investing with crypto or altcoin depends on the investor's confidence and patience, but if all the altcoins we buy, of course, the risks are great, in my opinion with the current conditions and situations, investors must be good at utilizing every opportunity that will be obtained in investing and one of them chooses coins with the potential to be profitable in their investments

among the many coins there must be some coins that do not provide benefits, unless he invests in the top 100 coins. but if he believes in the investment made and has a good portfolio then just continue the investment. but in my opinion with a very large amount it will be difficult to control the investment

ETH and Litecoin have a chance to make its new ATH again but BNB does not seem like. The reason why BNB performed well this year due to IEO, they were successfully running a profitable IEO on their platform causing the price to reach its new ATH. But IEO time almost comes to an end, I do not see any reason for BNB to make its new ATH again.
it is better to hold major cryptocurrencies other than holding it if you are wishing for a new ATH.

In my opinion, although the best coins are bitcoin, it doesn't mean that altcoins don't have the potential to be profitable. the best investors certainly understand an algorithm in the market, so they will be able to determine the time to invest in bitcoin and invest in altcoin. the two coins have the potential but take different times

I dont agree with you, if people cannot afford to buy bitcoin then they can buy altcoins instead. Also they can invest in different altcoins ,but I rather not to choose many of them ,3-5 coins will be my choice only those who have a good candlestick in the market and also has a good circulation. Having profit in altcoins can convert into bitcoin.

I also think that altcoin is a useful coin when there are not enough funds to buy bitcoin, and also an option for investment when bitcoin is not profitable to be invested. so even though bitcoin is the best coin but if there is no altcoin market then the market will look lonely and may not be like now
