I do not think you need to ask this question as its name "demo mode", means that the balance is also just a demo balance which is not a real balance. If users can withdraw it then the site will lose too much money because users can get this demo balance even they lose it all many times.

You made a great suggestion, that is as same as stop-limit orders for trading. Gamblers should determine which amount of money they want to spend on gambling in general and for auto-bet in particular at the start. They should determine which amount of money they might accept to lose with auto-bet before using it.

From my perspective, if someone uses auto-bet, the low odds should be chosen and set for the auto-bet bot in order to prevent serious losses in a short period of time.

Yes you right, i did visited and played auto dice, look nothing button to stop lose and win game. I did winning about 3x from my balance just leaved 10 minutes. i don't know how that machines managed my bet when don't have to stop lose/win button.

Do not even say it is useless, because you can try the game for free without any risks (losing money). You say it useless because you have no chances to earn something from it, am I right?
Demo mode and demo balance is a usual thing in gambling site, there are some other sites give fake/demo balance to users for the same purpose. So it is not useless at all.
Free bonuses with real money is indeed needed for new site to attract people, but not all sites are able to provide it due to some reasons such as limited funds or due to the possibility of abuse.

Using demo balance means that you are playing with a dummy balance with the intention of trying the site and cannot be withdrawn. I am sure that if you have created an account and logged in, your demo balance will disappear and you will switch to playing real money.

playing manual or auto doesn't change anything if the site is provably fair
it only depends on the seeds you have and the numbers you choose, not the way you are betting
maybe the problem is not in the mode but in your betting patterns?
if you lose most of the time betting auto , try setting different strategy or change the limits

You reminded me of how I used to gamble in about  three years ago when I was very new to gambling and cryptocurrencies. That time bitcoin was very cheaper and I could afford to put 0.3-0.4 in gambling.
I made some manual bets and I won some bitcoin. Then I thought I can easily win. I used auto bet to win faster. But the result was always losing.
The problem was not with auto bet. Auto bet only causes your bets to be made faster and as a result the gambler lose the whole balance faster.
