If you're expecting the posts to be recovered into the thread - I don't think that's gonna happen. Anybody should be able to delete their posts for any reason and this kind of forced recovery (and then what - how would you prevent them from being deleted again?) would set a really bad precedent. The best you can do is maybe repost important stuff from archives and just generally poke GP in the gonads if he brings up something contradicting his deleted posts.
There is a thread on this issue:
Request for additional confirmation window before deleting the post.Users can get their deleted posts back from
draft page, but it is limited to only
100 saved drafts, and they will be deleted entirely after 7 days.
In contrast, they can not recover their deleted posts to original orders in threads: Forum does not allow it, and forum staffs don't want to see that happen.
I know would be useful for users, but as a moderator I hope this doesn't happen with deleting other users posts as it would be a nightmare.
Drafts do not include links to original posts.
Yep. Drafts unfortunately don't include a link to the thread where you wanted to post your reply, unless you quote someone in your reply, (which i usually do.)
That looks something like
[quote author=Ferylero link=topic=4971628.msg45182093#msg45182093 date=1536065952]
When you click on it it'll redirect you to the topic that the draft was made for/in.
There is another way to get delete posts, from clone forums, but I doubt that the time period to get them back since deleting timepoints is not too long because clone forums will do upgrade their database. Months ago, I misedited my thread, and @iasenko help me to get right version back from clone forum.
Are there methods to move backwards to previous version of OPs in the forum
