If he scammed $63million, why was he looking for a house to rent, instead of just buying one?

I seem to remember that a Russian email spammer was shot by a guy who was fed up with having to delete hundreds of emails every day. If you are going to do these things, then you have to accept the risks. ( unless you are a banker of course ).

if the data mentioned by CCN is correct then it is definitely a huge amount of money, businesses using cryptocurrency are indeed terrible, threats and losses can occur at any time without you guessing.

Bitcoin Scammer Stealing $63 Million Brutally Tortured and Murdered by Business Partners...

I read a story like this and simply don't know what to say or think.

How about you guys?

For me, this kind of article making bitcoin's image so bad, and some people might think that bitcoin is still a fraud and scam. Scamming your business partners worth of 63 million is huge money. Imagine that you are one of his business partners and he scams you taking your hard work money and vanish, I'm sure that you will be outraged. But I agree that killing is not the answer for every scam, because once he/she is still alive, you can assure that theirs a chance that they can bring back your money.

These events happened in India. Right now they are heavily arguing about crypto and Bitcoin. DOn't you think that this article is made on purpose just to stop the crypto spreading in that country?

That's a brutal punishment to a scammer, but this bitcoins in the news could be part of the lost coins in the circulation now since it was not access by the gang. Scammer punish by his co scammers, this is not new to me as in the beginning, he already know the risk and  he is playing games within the circle of ruthless people.

The sad thing is his greediness of money did not make him enjoy what he got in the end, and this tells that if money is not use properly, it could be the root cause of an evil act.

Sometimes we have to think about the worst things to come if we do something bad. Even tiny mistakes would lead us to bigger consequences later on.

There are people who can’t control their emotions once someone has stolen their valuable assets like Bitcoin. As for this Bitcoin scammer, the damage has been done and ended up in a tragic way.

I’m also scammed by many opportunities before. However, I choose to take those experiences as lesson learned, focus on the solution and not the problem, because the past cannot be changed.

This is one greedy guy, How can you scam people out of all this money and then proceed to scam the very people that you planned the scam with and give a lousy excuse that you lost your access to your bitcoins wallet, I hope for his sake that he can get access to wallet becauseI hear Charon is now accepting Bitcoins in the underworld now.

Does this mean that over 6000 bitcoin is lost, or does the scammer give your password or private key to some of his relatives? This is a case that shows that greed is a big problem, if Shakoor had shared the bitcoins with his criminal group, he would be alive and continue his life hiding from the police and the people he cheated and stole. But as Shakoor was greedy, so he found death very early. The question still remains, who has control of the bitcoins?

At first, I though that Calvin Ayre got mad on CSW for not being Satoshi and the scammer got what he deserved* , but then I saw India and things changed.
I still get calls from "Microsoft Support" from time to time so, I can't say I really sorry for the guy. Stealing/scamming that kind of amount of money should be seriously punishable. Of course in this case big part of the politicians should be electrocuted which will never happen..

I read a story like this and simply don't know what to say or think.

How about you guys?

This is alarming, people who are holding a large amount of Bitcoin should secure themselves, and people should not divulge how many Bitcoin they are holding and even top altcoins, they are holding. Cryptocurrency is now a digital gold, and one of the best investment now in our era.

Even if you are holding a small amount, now if it is on a top coin you should not divulge or boast about it, you never know what people will think now they know the true value of Cryptocurrency now and it's future potential.

This is sad and horrible news why do people need to kill, they could have settled the matter in a peaceful way but I guess there’s no honour in criminals. It’s also bad for the community because so many coins are now lost forever, do you’ll think police will be able to recover those coins?.

They were all criminals and a gang and he knew all of them personally. Scamming them of 4.5 billion and then expecting them to believe his wallet got hacked was pretty foolish. After being tortured also, the scammer did not want to give back the money which was a call for death. Still don't support criminals but they all were equally bad. Sad that it happened in India.

Which is expected to happen as his gangmates have its own interest with that scam money. They have all the same flow of bad bloods running around so this scammer knew about this torturing thing. And instead of surrendering his key after the incident, he chooses to keep it and stay with the money even it will take his own life. This act of criminality is not new to those who's greedy with money. They can do everything for the sake of living a luxurious life.

If he scammed $63million, why was he looking for a house to rent, instead of just buying one?

because the money was held in bitcoin, not fiat, and then he claimed the wallet was hacked. for all we know, the wallet really was hacked.

however, this is my take on it. it seems like shakoor didn't really understand how bitcoin works. he refused to give up the password to the known scam wallet, which suggests the coins were still there and not really "hacked". his associates probably just looked up some of the wallet addresses and realized the coins were never moved.

now that he's dead and the rest of the gang can't access the wallet, 6000+ BTC are probably now lost and removed from circulation.

Some people will change when being exposed to a large amount of money but someone must be very angry after knowing that one of their guys was the scammer. I wonder what was the motive of the guy who killed the scammer, it could be someone that he knows got scammed by this scammer.

The punishment given to the scammer is too harsh although it may go a long way to deter others who want to scam others in the near future. This is murder, no matter the crime a person commits, he/she needs to be given a fair hearing at a competent court of law.

This is really heartbreaking news. We hate scammers, but killing people is the worst thing in this world. But whenever I got scammed before, my feeling was to kill them badly, that's a common feeling I think. Though I can't appreciate this punishment way but they had no right to steal other people's hard earnings and now every other scammer should learn from this incident.

When viewed from the legal goggles, you can catch the fraudsters, and you do to judge them by torturing and killing. I think you will be in criminal for killing and torture. According to Crypto law has not been regulated by the Government, even we are difficult to prove how someone is doing a scam.

By judging like this, I think it will just hurt you.
