Well, I don't see any wrong with your plan mate, then if you want to invest the 500$ and you are willing to risk it, better to use that amount to buy coins and better to use binance dex to invest there dude, in this platform you can able to grow it if you know how to read the chart and have an idea about each coins listed to this platform. If you just know the proper procedure to profit daily in binance dex surely 100% you can make profit most of the time.

Diversifying is good but for only $1500, I would not put at least $1k for BTC.
Bitcoin will grow, no doubt about that but the amount it grows might not satisfy as investors, if we are talking of $1,000 and we like to enjoy big profit, a 100% increase would not satisfy us but a 100% is already big for BTC as it will result to a new ATH.

Investing in altcoins aggressively is better IMO, we can earn x10 or more with altcoins, especially at the current price condition.

Expecting quick returns on investment in cryptocurrency is a faraway dream unlike in the past. Nowadays, the time has changed, and cryptocurrency is becoming stable. Base on current price of btc your $1500 will be 0.15 btc or so and that I think will be a good investment for you at this time of bear but first most need to consider that alts are still in shock so holding yr btc is best now , except if you know how to trade with little of TA and that can be a short time trade with minimum of 2-3% target on daily basis.

That kind of money,,, yes, best just buy and hodl. I would not waste time trading and getting heartbroken. Do the long trade for a year, and you will have much more time to do other things (and earn money with other salaried jobs) instead of playing with fire and potentially losing it all.

investing simply in bitcoins will not bring you as much profit as investing in altcoins can bring you. this is what you have to understand. how much money did you want?

The dominance of Binance among the IEO exchanges has these kind of bad effects. Investors have to purchase the asset of the exchange in order to receive a right for investment to the IEOs.  The lottery system is not a successful method for choosing the IEO investors, the BNB whales will be able to buy the big share which is dumped by the same whales. After dumping their tokens, they go to market for accumulation more tokens for cheaper prices.  

 By the way, governments think about limiting the crypto investing and I think these new rules will start to be trouble before the introduction of the Libra coin. I don't know how these decisions affect the dominant exchanges. The crypto exchanges will agree with these rules and the price of BNB will go deeper in case of accepting the law by the exchanges.

in my opinion you can buy some altcoin $ 500 for ethereum, $ 500 for bnb, and also another $ 500 for bitcoin. for me this is fair enough so as not to avoid substantial losses if one day you will lose a few dollars that you have.

if you want to make a profit quickly and don't care about the risks. why don't you try investing in the IEO project. if you invest in an IEO project that is in a big exchange, I'm sure you can get a large profit and not have to wait long. but this has a big risk. if you choose the wrong project, you could lose.
