There seem to be 3 main trading strategies:
Hold: most people have this as a main position and use it especially when they're starting out to hold most of their funds so there's a lot less risk.
day trading: these people to technical analysis and look at market sentiments in order to trade.
leverage trading: these people do trades where they give say 1btc and borrow 10 but they get liquidated of their position drops by 0.1 for example. Lots of people do this when they want to hold 90% and trade with 10% or something but leverage trading entails more risk.

Look at the sentiment behind exchanges too: hitbtc and yobit have quite a few negative reviews, coinbase, binance and bitmex seem to have less issues but are more limited on the trading pairs they have. I'd recommend looking into technical analysis to use with bitcoin and understand that every trade doesn't always take a profit so be sure to set a stop loss.

The safest way to earn profits is to buy potential coins at their most affordable prices and hold them until you reach a good selling price that can offer you good profits already. You will surely make profits but it might take for quite a long time since we won't be able to detect when the market price will increase reaching another peak again. Day trading is profitable too but it needs more practice and speciall skills since this type of trading has higher risks compared to others.

You need to read lots of useful articles and guides then have an evaluation of your own after. Understanding how to take care of your investments will take time.

Since the responses to you here will be in general and might be repetitive, I suggest seeking information at various trading and investment tips throughout the web via you preferred web search engine or watch some resourceful videos at any video sharing platform or whatever you preferred.

One thing for sure is that you need to read financial books a lot at an early stage. not only reading but you also have to take part in combat courses to increase your understanding.
That's what you need to do in the first 3 months, just learn and practice.

One could write a book in response to this question! Since I don't want to write a book, I'll leave you a few pieces of advice:

1) The key to profitable trading is to cut out big losses. You want big wins, small wins, small losses. You can't avoid small losses but you can avoid big losses with good risk management, including stop losses.

2) Figure out what kind of trading/investment style you have and play to your strengths. Some people are cut out for scalping and day trading. Others should probably stick to long term swing trading and HODLing.

3) As a beginner, I recommend trading in the direction of the trend. So in a bullish trend, you're looking to take long positions.

4) If you're going to trade, you should at least know the basics of technical analysis: how to read trends, support and resistance, bullish/bearish patterns, and so on. I suggest you watch a video about trading, you can find many good videos on youtube, while you can also read more information about trading with details. There is no other way to do trading without learning, and you have unlimited sources on the internet IF you want to learn. When you can understand how to buy low, sell high, you need to practice in the real exchanges. But before you do that, you need to buy bitcoin at any price and send them in the exchanges so you can start trading right away.

No need to chase the profit in the beginning, make sure you understand your lesson, and keep trying to get a low price so you can sell at a higher price. There a lot more lesson on the internet so you can learn more to improve your skills in trading and don't stop until you can make a profit.

The words that I bolded above in trading don't have any assurance to gain profit. Even expert in trading might be lose and that is because of the unpredictable crypto market situation. There's nothing to hurry if you don't have enough knowledge on it, besides there is alternate earning profit aside from trading and that is holding and patiently wait for your profit.

Anyway, before anything else just choose a good exchange site and of course with a high volume of coins.

Have a specific target you need (have a time frame).
Invest only what you can afford to lose.

I am a victim of scam sites, sites that offer larger profits are usually scams. Trusting a platform is difficult because of scam sites, so i suggest to check the legitness of a site or platform before investing money.

It coud be possible, if bitcoin can cause threat to foreign exchange

I suggest you take some time to do bitcoin research, read bitcoin related news site, watch youtube videos about trade, about exchanges and how bitcoin works

then trade with small amounts of money until you have gained experience.

Lastly: Never invest your bitcoin in hyip/ponzi sites, online casino sites and cloud mining sites.

Most of the advises above can help a lot but you should first drop the notion of getting rich so quick from it; it is the highest weak point.

But the most important thing is the experience and spirit of steel. You may lose in a few days, but don't let the frustration discourage you.
In the field of trading, traders will usually trade if they think the win rate is higher than the loss rate of about 10%.
